Some gear with + gold % drop and rifts usually for me. What belt are you using? I have a replica of the one I'm using on my imgur link above as you can see and it's like +34% gold from monsters as well as that (IMO) awesome -30% damage buff.

Send it over lols, I want to at least try a Flawless Gem sometime soon, basically all my money is towards crafting gems but oh man they are expensive.

Yeah pretty silly question. I caved and bought it digital for PS4. Any tips for beginners? Wich class do you guys recommend?
It's not really a hard game, but melee classes are generally easier to control, I suppose. They take less damage too, so that's nice.

Edit: Apparently the Crusader doesn't get the 30% damage reduction that Barbarian and Monk get, because the sader also has a good number of ranged abilities.

Even with that I find the crusader more durable IMO.

That has been my experience so far, I die more with my bar than with my Crusader and is level 56.

I wish gear and build management were easier. For example, I might like to tinker around with a lightning build without spoiling my arcane build. I should be able to try on anything I have in my stash, which should be unlimited. Once I'm happy with a build, switching between them should be as easy as choosing one from a list.

That'd be nice functionality for a companion app, methinks.

HOLY CRAP! Got it for PS4 and just finished act 1. :O

By the way, it plays soo good with a dual shock, I'm impressed!

If there was a companion app for that, you'd never play the game!

So I'm a scrub at this game and just completed act 5 and now I can do adventure mode. I'm level 67 so I dunno what to do at this point aside from hitting 70. I'm guessing I'm at endgame.

Are there any guides you folks recommend on what to do from this point? I use a Seasonal wizard. It's my very first character.

Just do some bounties to reach level 70 and then try a few rifts.

The point is to get loot and level BEYOND 70. Get stronger to kill stronger enemies to get loot that makes you stronger to beat even stronger enemies.

I played a little bit of Diablo 3 back at launch. Is it true that the patches and expansion make this a far better title now?

From all the comments and reviews, it seems to be a completely different game.

I never played a Diablo title before (only experience with this type of game was Torchlight on XBLA) and absolutely have adored this game on PS4. I've put countless hours in.

Guess it'll be time for me to give this another go, seeing how the expansion is now on sale.

Yeah, I've played both the PC and console vanilla versions:

Console RoS >>>>> console vanilla >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> PC vanilla

And PC RoS should be a good bit better than console too. Might pick it up when I get a new iMac.

Hopefully the PC RoS matches the console version. Did Blizzard ever patch controller support into the PC version?

They have repeatedly stated that they never have and never intend to.

But then again they did ultimately remove the AH so who knows how much their word on that is worth.

I keep reading about how the leg drop rate increases whilst playing in a group.
This has not been the case for me.

Last night I did 3 rifts with 2 others on torment 5 and got maybe 5 or 6 leg items.
However when I was playing solo on torment 4 a few hours ago, I got almost 10 legs from just 1 rift!!
Not only that, I got 5 leg gifts to send as well!! What gives?? Kinda puts me off playing with others unfortunately.

This is not the only time this has happened. When I was doing rifts with a fellow gaffer, he would get legs popping up all the time while I got almost naught.
I'm from Asia and the guys I play with are Americans or Brits if that matters.

On another note, I've gotta spare single socket akkan helm and a SoJ (sader based) to trade for a few rifts keys.
I would give em without any returns but for the fact I fucking LOATHE doing bounty runs for rift keys.

I'm down to trade for some keys! I'll take that SoJ :) how many keys you thinking?

PSN- aewilde

I'll be happy with just 10 keys m8 :)

lol Well, I'd still need to fill my stash. ;)

With a companion app, I'd still "play" just as much as I do now, but I'd probably spend a lot less time hanging out in town, staring at my gear, making people wonder why I never respond to their invites. :p

Seriously though, it would be nice to save every interesting piece of gear I run across, so I can see what kind of build I can create around it. Unfortunately, the finite stash encourages me to discard everything I don't "need," and while it's easy enough to equip your toon in normal play, the process is a little too cumbersome for real experimentation. I'd like to be able to spend a few days of "downtime" tinkering with some stashed gear, just to see what I can accomplish on-sheet, without messing up my real build. Once I come up with something that looks playable, I can just switch to it, run a few rifts, and see how it plays. Maybe I'll keep it, or maybe I'll switch back to my old build. Maybe I'll have different builds for solo and group play, or have group-specific builds. Since it's all "in theory," I don't see why it can't be done offline, without running the actual game; it just needs a recent list of your skills and gear to work with.

Once I've got my different builds, I can switch them whenever I'm in town. If I need a hat that's in my stash, it can grab it for me, and stash the hat I was wearing. Since I can only change builds in town, there's no chance for abuse, allowing fight-specific builds and that sort of thing. It's just super loot whoring, basically.

Sorry man. Helm's already taken unfortunately :(
Will def pass the next one to ya (if I get another that is.)
Got a spare akkan pauldrons though if you want.

Gotta dual socketed pox faulds with +15% corpse spider dmg (Witch doctor) to give away as well if anyone wants.

Edit: A puzzle ring just dropped for me. Never seen it be4. Will gladly pass it over to anyone (salvaging it if there's no takers)

Rift keys? I have 200+ and probably won't be playing until 2.1 hits consoles, so if anyone wants I could send them. I didn't know they could be traded.

Also, I 'm pretty sure I have almost 2x fulls sets of spare akkhan lying in stash I don't need. Everything except the boots.

Multiboxing?

Having multiple characters play with you that are all controlled by the same person. Essentially a form of farming that has been banned in the pc version (as well as it could be)

Also tend to deal with duped items to equip all of their "bots"

Im not exactly sure, but in the game I was in, the "bots" followed the controlling character and seemed to mimic the controlling character. I inquired to the supposed gaffer and he said not to worry about it, he's just multi boxing

The bots were also wearing very similar gear setups

I just started playing this on the PS4, imported my ps3 save. And man having not played in so long I struggled to get my DH to 70 and finish act v. I feel like it's a gear issue but it's still fun.

I am going to be playing a ton so add me on PSN Rukland

Is this hacked item stuff a thing even on console? For a person who's never played D3 online yet, would I notice that I'm in a room of hacked players? I honestly would like to avoid that and wouldn't like to be banned for playing with such people.

Having lots of fun playing local co-op but I'm not 100% sure how everything works. Mostly just pressing buttons to get through hordes. Playing on PS4.
I have a little creature following me around and he is supposed to sometimes pick items up, but I don't know if he does or doesn't.

Sillysil or the gaffer that hooked me up with great things in the morning thank you man, you are awesome.
You are welcome.

There are far too many ... incidents of multi boxing ... going on within the GAF group. I don't like it.
First, I stated that I do this weeks ago in this thread. Everyone who is reading this thread was able to see it directly.
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=129214346&highlight=multibox#post129214346
It wasn't a secret.

Second, when I come to a group with my other characters filling empty slots, I have absolutely no issue with keeping them out. If you send me a message to ask what's going on, I answer it, as I did with you. If you have a headset on, so do I, and you can directly ask me about it. Anyone who has played this game with me can tell you that if they ask for me to not have my side characters in the group, I keep them out without hesitation. I place the highest priority on respecting the desires of the other players of a group in this game.

Third, the last I recall reading a Blizzard employee post on the subject on PC, they actually did in fact state that multiboxing is allowed as long as all accounts aren't doing anything which is automated from what a human player does. The use of scripts and automation was banned, but multiboxing itself was not. If you want me to source this, I can see about hunting it out from their forum, but I'm quite sure I'm recalling this correctly.

How does that even work?
I'm glad you asked.

On same screen coop in this game, if one player wanders too far away from the others, the stationary players are automatically teleported to the moving player. When I realized that, I wondered how it would work to build up side characters with maximized defense whose sole purpose would be to not die and fill empty slots in the group, so that all players could maximize all statistical and loot gain. As it turns out, it works out rather well.

I have four PS4 controllers hooked up when I play this game. I have four separate accounts, and they each have at least 180 paragon levels now. Nobody uses any kind of hacked or duplicated gear whatsoever. There is nothing extra being done with the controllers as they sit unused. There is no automation or botting of any kind. They are not bots. Everything is found and done through normal play.

Why do I do this? It makes the game more interesting to me. It turns it into something of a giant escort mission, and does help prolong the goals in playing the game and the process of accumulation. I have a "good" character of every class now, and I've done that without going through the agonizing arduous process of raising them from 1 to 70 by playing them directly. It also gives me motivation to hunt for different types of gear to use that nobody would think about using otherwise (having a Crusader using a Grandfather with 11% Life and +1000 Vit as his weapon is one such example). It also enables me to help with other players in a group, too. If I see you alone as a Barbarian, I can send in three other Barbarians and thus maximize the chance that at least one out of the four of us will get a useful drop of some kind with every rift or bounty run.

It's something that I did on PS3 vanilla (and posted about it in that OT thread here as well), it's something that I do here, and it's something that I'll always do in this game as long as I can. It is a means of maximizing the potential gain I have for the time I play the game.

Yeah this is totally correct. Multiboxing is fine for the most part. Travis Day (one of the lead devs on the game nowadays) has been pretty open about his own multiboxing on the monthly live streams they do for the game. He runs 4 crusaders with blessed shield builds using foote/jekangbord (or did at the time, that was a few months ago).

I'm over Destiny, now I'm back to this when I need a break from Mordor. I'm rearranging my builds too often. I need to limit myself to one build per bounty group.
