Isn't there a 1080p 60fps mode thing on the pro?
On a game by game basis, sure. It's not a system level option or anything and the Boost Mode is meant for games without a Pro patch but won't magically make games run at 60 fps.

Can we get a bit of a summary, for us plebs with limited mobile data?
The difference there is that both versions still target 60fps.

That's why I'm confused. Bungie couldn't make a 4v4 multiplayer hit 60FPS?
It's not like it's doing anything particularly noteworthy with textures or particles effects either. Titanfall 2 has an obscene amount of things going on and very very rarely drops frames.
And another one.
Re-open the flood gates.
Destiny 2 pre-release threads have to be setting a record

Ah is that so.No, you're probably thinking of boost mode for games that don't have a Pro mode. It just opens up some more GPU power for games dedicated Pro support, which may improve performance but won't bump a 30fps game to 60fps.
Can we get a bit of a summary, for us plebs with limited mobile data?
yup, not much more to it, essentially. ps4pro could have been alien spaceship tech, they still wouldn't have done 60.
Are you joking? It would be a massive boon to promoting the PS4P and encouraging more people to go buy it.
I do think he let Bungie off the hook just a bit in that regard. He did explain how their original design for Destiny was 30fps...but I still find it hard to believe they couldn't have made visual sacrifices to get it to 60, especially when you consider they dropped PS3/360.Other games with a similar amount of visual fidelity run at 60FPS with more players in their multiplayer modes. Other than it being a design choice, I don't understand why a 4v4 multiplayer match can't run at 60FPS. I simply can't go back to a 30FPS multiplayer shooter at this point.
The cynic in me deep down thinks that MS moneyhatted Bungie to purposely not code the PS4 version to do 60fps so that they could have that exclusivity on the obvious but not yet announced Scorpio version. I hope that's not why, but it wouldn't surprise me.

That would add a complete metric fuckton of input lagWhy can't Bungie just use the advanced motion interpolation filter in the video to achieve 60fps?
- Even with a game built from the ground up to run at higher framerates, BF1 isn't able to hit a steady 60fps on consoles
Bungie always was a 30fps team.
Also, the only way to know for sure is when the PC version is out. Anyway, I still don't see how 60fps is impossible on 4v4 PvP, but whatever.
Cynic and idiot are synonyms now?
You dont look any better disrespecting people like this though.
Its just an opinion in the end folks lol.

More like twice thatSo like normal?
Except Destiny is the game with the input lag possible on consoles (86ms on Xbox one and 95ms on PS4), for a 30FPS game. That's very close to what 60FPS titles like COD hit (66-70ms) and probably the same as what BF games hit. So no...not like normal. So like normal?
This post reminds me of all the people who thought MS was going to buy exclusivity for CoD, Madden, Fifa, and Battlefield back in 2013The cynic in me deep down thinks that MS moneyhatted Bungie to purposely not code the PS4 version to do 60fps so that they could have that exclusivity on the obvious but not yet announced Scorpio version. Nobody's talking about the animations?
Ever play Halo on the PC? Animations are locked at 30 so it looks weird running at higher framerates.

Jaguar
Rise of the Tomb Raider looks like it could run on Xbox 360...wait it already does and looks very close! Doesn't mean the Xbox One version isn't pushing anything.I was watching their last video.
He said the CPU's in the PC's at the event were a "quantum leap " over the console.
I personally don't see why destiny can't run at 60. Shit, it still looks like it could run on the PS3 if they wanted.
More like twice that
Bungie is very committed to Destiny feeling the same in PvP and PvE, for better and for worse. I don't doubt that Crucible could hit 60 a fair amount of the time but if PvE can't, then it's not going to happen. That's why I'm confused. Bungie couldn't make a 4v4 multiplayer hit 60FPS?

”[sic]... if you want to play at 144 [fps] and your rig will handle it, it'll do that just fine," he said, confirming that the PC build at the reveal was only running at 60 fps because of the monitors it was demoed on. Acer provided their latest XB271HK monitors to all PCs at the event. This impressive model has a native resolution of 4K, and supports G-Sync.
- Those hoping for 60fps on Scorpio are likely to be disappointed for the same reasonThe cynic in me deep down thinks that MS moneyhatted Bungie to purposely not code the PS4 version to do 60fps so that they could have that exclusivity on the obvious but not yet announced Scorpio version.
