So the final tally is at 27 hours for Cyseal in our co-op playthrough. I think we were quite thorough, though we might have still missed a quest or two.

The crafting guides I've found have a lot of mistakes (or they were based on old crafting data). How do you make a charming arrowhead? I've read that you need a charm potion which is supposedly created with a minor healing potion + a fanny blossom. ..but when I combine those two items, I don't get a thing.

I crafted two and the description is "these are plain arrows. Stop wasting resources and make something useful".

Arrowheads, not arrows. The in-game description is "Ingredient. Combine an arrowhead with another object to create a special arrowhead."

There are regular arrowheads, which you can make or buy. You combine those with the elemental potion of your choice to create specific elemental arrowheads, and you then combine those with arrowshafts to make the actual arrows.

Think I may have a bugged quest, if anyone could shed some light please, early in map 2:

The escort quest, I healed the animal with a bloodstone and escorted the two people + animal to Silverglen. My journal says as much, but the quest is still incomplete and I can't speak to the man, woman or animal. Do I need to do something else?

Right. Do you know how to actually craft them? I haven't found a working combination.

I also can't figure out how to create a charm potion. The guides I've seen don't work in-game.

edit: Does a charm potion even exist? Looking around some more, charming arrowheads are made with drudanae herb + arrowhead and you don't need a charm potion at all. So I guess I'm back to wondering how to create a plain old arrowhead.

A lot of quests are non-existent with clues on how to actually complete them. There are four or five where you need to wait for an entire conversation to end before it ends.

I cannot tell you how many times I thought I finished a quest only to, hours later, find Person X somewhere completely random on the map and them to thank me.

Right, don't combine plain arrowheads with arrowshafts. That just gets you a worthless basic arrow - which you have unlimited of anyway - and the game actually tells you "hey, don't do that."

I purchased all of my arrowheads. I don't recall which vendors had them exactly, but you can buy them in large amounts (like 40+ a pop).

As far as the charm potion, haven't made one of those yet, either. You can get charm abilities through both Scoundrel and Expert Marksman, so I haven't made charm arrows a priority.

There's an idea, thanks. A charm arrow saved my entire party in the last boss fight and I only have one left so I wanted to make some more. I don't have any charm abilities yet but I've only gone into Expert Marksman.

This is good to know.

Thanks, not hugely worried about it, will keep going and see if it sorts itself out. Since I can't speak to either person or the animal though I'm thinking something has gone wrong.

So the OT has reached the character limit. Good times.

To meet the limit I've eliminated the GAF co-op list even with its insane popularity and removed the Kickstarter information as everyone should have gotten their links or physical copies at this date. Also, the Music portion has been cut down and the revised review section will be posted as a link later. I've updated the OT to included locations of the major ability vendors in Cyseal and where the major buildings are. Additionally, some starting tips for people getting into the game. If you have some more tips or general critiques let me know.

*Sorry for the late update, I've been under the weather as of late.

Would it be worth linking directly to the game manual in the OT, or is it that just something to leave up to the person's initiative? It's not like it isn't right there on the Steam/GOG page, but still. And thanks btw for the continued OT upkeep.

If you need, I can delete a couple of posts so that your second post in the thread is after the OP, and you can use it to expand.

20 hours in and I've definitely been taking it more slowly since I left Cyseal and entered the second area. I think may interest my be starting to wane, unfortunately... The gameplay mechanics still keep me coming back, but this story is really just not pulling me in. Hope something interesting happens soon.

Oh thanks! That would be a great help. :)

Nah, I'll put a link in the OT. I really want the OT to be helpful to as many people possible.

What am I missing here?:

Got these two switches and the one to the south behind a chandelier. Is there a fourth? Pretty sure I've tried every possible order.

There's another switch up on the stairs next to the compass. And they need to be pressed in the right order in order to open the door.
There's something in the room that tells you the order, I just can't remember what. If you want to know:

The thing says "ENS West," which I think is self-explanatory. The twist is that those directions are relative to that huge compass on the floor, not your camera.

So, are there more than the 2 NPC party members in the beginning of the game?

I said no to the Mage, since I'm not going to be making any promises that I can't keep

If I want a full party, did I make a mistake?

You can still get party members as henchmen. They have no story/dialog, but they function as party members just fine.

You'll get the ability to hire "henchman" who are silent party members.

Does he not continue to hang out where you found him? Is he now snubbing you? I was under the impression they treated a "no" as a "well, if you change your mind.."

And finished.

I don't even really know what to say at this point. This is a classic pure and simple. 10 - 20 years from now people are going to talk about this game the same way we talk about Baldur's Gate and Fallout now.

Just sublime Larian, hats off.

Guys I've got a problem: I installed the game on my notebook but in the options it looks like it can only see my shitty integrated Intel video card and not the much more powerful nvidia....any solution or idea?

This marks two weeks I believe that it has been at the top of the Steam chart. Has to be doing very well. Well deserved. Love this game. Only wish I could line up my coop partner instantly anytime I have freetime. Waiting to play is hard.

Damn, still a top seller. Gotta say though, a bit of "divine" teehee help has occurred for this game. I mean, release right around steam sale, in a dry month for releases, with a lot of vocal fan support. It deserves it of course. Just, its rare the great games by devs who really care get rewarded so well.

Yes right before installing the game.

I think there's an option in the nvidia control panel to always use the main gpu.

Quick google - does this help? It's been a while since I owned a laptop...

I can't even play anymore at this point, which is unforunate. The game literally crashes my computer.

Have you limited frames/turned on vsync? My friend's PC was locking up a lot before he enabled both, was running a little too hot.

Aside from that have you tried Larian support? They're incredibly helpful.

Anyone else having trouble placing the Round and Square Pendants in the cave in North Cyseal? There are tons of treasure chests behind these two barracades, and I have both pendants, but the game won't let me put them on the pedastal

Did you drag and drop them?
