Oh rock of ages, do not crumble, love is breathing still. Oh lady moon shine down, a little people magic if you will.
That bossfight near
the lake with the entrance to the Feary Realm
during the White Witch Questline was pretty though, one of the hardest fights yet.

I keep getting suprsised by the game's insane amount of, well(-well-well), suprises. There's so much fun, weird or interesting stuff around almost every corner.

80 Hours in, Lvl11. Totally in love.

This game, guys....
holy shit ... this game.

I'm about 80 hours in on normal difficulty. I get stuck occasionally and have to scour the entire. fucking. game. to find out what I missed. Usually it is some npc I need to talk to or some clickable I didn't spot.
I also wish the maps were more open and less theme-parky

Other than that though ... holy shit this game is just great. The mechanics are just absolutely glorious.

I really hope other rpg developers play the living hell out of this game and copy like mad.

I'm still early in the game, and I'm having a problem using a resurrection scroll. One of my hired hands died in battle, so after the battle I have one of my main characters use a resurrection scroll as they're standing right next to the body. Once the scroll is activated and I put the pointer on the fallen character, I get the message, "Target is out of sight. Choose target to teleport." He's not out of sight, he's right next to me, and why am I getting a message about teleporting?

you have to pick a spot to teleport him to as he is resurrecting.
its a weird mechanic.
pick dude to resurrect
then pick spot to resurrect him to (teleport)

Granadier

Is currently on Stage 1: Denial regarding the service game future
The only long load time for me is the initial one when I start the game. Other than that it never takes more than 10 secs to load anything.

I also have Divinity on a WB Black.

I've noticed that it seems like the game caches a LOT of textures for the maps. Teleporting between areas on the map, like in Cyseal, is instant. So it probably keeps a lot of data in RAM while you play.

Well, that would explain why it mentions teleporting, but my problem seems to be I can't pick the dead guy as my target. I keep getting the message, "Target is out of sight." When I use the spell and hover over the other characters I get a message of "Invalid target" which makes sense since they're still alive, but the dead guy is out of sight when he is just lying on the ground in front of me.

edit: nvm, finally got it to work...I had to walk a distance away with the other characters single file behind me to get them clear of the area, then when I returned to the corpse I had to zoom in and fiddle with the camera, and then finally I saw the blue outline and was able to select him for resurrection.

Hot tips:

  1. Hit the tilde key to highlight people.
  2. Use the portraits to target buffs / debuffs.
  3. Smoke fucking sucks, it's very hard to tell if you can see through it or not. If you're having visibility trouble, cast a rain to clear the air.

Just read the thread.

It's too big to read every page now, don't have the time. Was hoping for more current expressions of how amazing everyone says this is.

But no matter! I own it now, and it is almost finished downloading! I cannot fucking wait, people describing it make it sound like a damned DREAM

How the hell are you only Lvl 11 after 80 hours? I just finished the quests around the first little town and I am level 10 already after 10-12 hours.

10-12 hours for the first area sounds almost as ridiculous as being level 11 after 80 hours. It took me almost 30 hours to do everything in the first area. Sure, I take my time with these kind of games, but still. Do you skip all the text or don't bother to talk to anyone and just run between quests?

my buddy and I just reached the lighthouse and we are level 4

that okay? about 13 hours of fun in

Yep, as a rule you'll be even or just under enemy levels. They don't scale, so you can use enemies as a proxy for "am I pursuing the right thread right now?". Lighthouse at 4 is just fine.

Have they done anything with the dialogue issue in this game yet? My friends and I would love to do a coop play of this game using the four-player mod but not all the dialogue can be seen by the player who doesn't initiate conversation.

I'm at 70 hours and at the very end of the game. I did every sidequest except for 2 which are bugged and read through all the dialogue.

Maybe I just read fast?

hey guys, could really use some help. I think my game bugged? This is in regards to Troll King Cave /Tenebrium handling...

so we are supposed to kill the void enemies in the top left corner of the second map, but no one can handle tenebrium except one from the book, and they don't have any tenebrium weapons. I want to get the ability for the rest of the characters, but Brandon in town doesn't have the quest for us to turn in tenebrium ore nor do we have the bag or whatever needed to hold it.

we already finished the mine and every other quest in this zone, so the fact that we can't progress to save the end of time/etc is really frustrating. Is there any fix to this or another way around so we can get the ability to use Tenebrium?

Not sure what you are infuriated with? Your stats being really low for your level, the dungeon, or the pyramid on the floor? If it's the pyramid just walk away. After you get a certain distance it will return to you.

Is it OK to just use my spare bloodstone to advance the End of World stuff, or do I need to worry about keeping it around in case I get Rot?

You use two for quests in Act 2, the rest can be used whenever. Also I think Doctor can cure rot. It's a ranger spell, I'm not sure since I don't use Dex based characters. But you could hire one from the homestead that might come with it. Worse comes to worse just murder the guy and res him and he'll be good as new.

This door is visually open but it bugged and still says locked. Apparently it's a common issue after I googled a bit.

I think I had that issue too, I ended up just warping back to the center and pressed the switches again (maybe stopped at a switch earlier?) and it fixed itself.

If you're at the point that requires you to do so to advance, spend away.

72 hours and I just beat the final boss. Wow, not much to say that hasn't already been said in this thread but they certainly don't make games like these anymore. Without a doubt, this game will probably be my game of the year with its robust combat, fun exploration, witty dialogue, and so on and so forth. I really need a sequel for this game now.

The game had some issues I won't lie. Without google some of the puzzles would've been impossible to solve and pixel hunting for buttons and perception checks were annoying. But they are hardly enough to detract from this amazing experience.

I think I'll restart. Again. I'm not liking my "I wanted this to be a tank but she's really a weak warrior" character. I love my archer, though.

What's a good "class" to complement an archer and the two companions that I could try? I was thinking about a rogue, but I fear that pure stealth will become useless later into the game, when enemies get much tougher.

A Knight (2x 2H melee is absolutely brutal).
Another mage to compliment/contrast the Air/Water companion.

Whatever you want, really. Rogues are tough to use at first and tricky to position, but power up very well. You can use the single Mage companion and put all schools of magic on him, give him glasss cannon so he has tonnes of AP, the use him as your singular magic facotry (what I did, very effective), everything will work as long as you manage your stats well.

Is there a limit to the amount of
Pixie Dust and/or equiv. mats.?
Right now I'm hoarding it and refuse to use it for anything.

I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM.
I think I have a problem. ㅠㅠ

I guess there's technically a limit. But you probably won't run out as long as you're buying it from vendors and picking up all of those stardust herbs.

Map 2 spoilers:
You can get the Tenebrium skill on all your characters by finishing the Troll King quest(troll's bounty) and there's a vendor on Sacred Stone that sells the weapons. As for the demons on the top of the second map, you'll have to sneak past them and break the Blood Stone that is on the north(I think you need tenebrium weapons to break it).

Faery spoilers:
Featherfall and/or Tactical Retreat are must get skills. I use those so much, it feels like you'd miss a whole lot without them. I just gained acces to The Ca
stle in Hibensomething
through the (mis)use of them. I didn't even think it was possible at first. Game is filled with awesome stuff like that.

Also, I just found Peter Lee's Sword... Anybody who knows the story behind that thing, or is it just one of many hidden gags?
I feel sorry for the Iron
Maiden.

I sort of petered off of this game in the middle of Cyseal, I really should get back into it. I told myself I was waiting for AI personalities but now I don't know what I'm waiting for.

More story companions in the next major patch. Maybe in a month or so. I'm telling you this so you can keep waiting. I'm a terrible person.

Still unplayable, still no reply from support. Guess I will try to forget about Divinity for now, perhaps a future patch will fix it.

Finished the Lighthouse quest? Leave from the west gate, near the harbour that leads on a path along the beach.

The team might be on the group vacation they were planning but held off to push some updates. Sorry to hear your ongoing issue is still unresolved though.
