DLSS / AI Scaling and next gen consoles

That little thing is 2 -3x stronger than the switch's own nVidia Tegra X1. With 128 more CUDA cores and 42 Tensor cores that allow it to support DLSS. nVidia also says it gets 3TFLOPs with only 15w of power but I'd take that with a grain of salt. While the X1 in the Switch could do 1TFLOP at full speed (the current Switch is under clocked) I don't think the Volta cores are that much better than Maxwell (If I'm wrong, someone correct me). So the next Switch having DLSS support while still being a handheld is more than possible.

Agree with most of this, but the uncapped TX1 is still only half of that. You may have seen an half precision/FP16 number to much confusion of games journalists

Why not be an adult and tackle his points with proper arguments?
Because it was a joke (with a bottom of truth) and because i tried dlss on pc and i know how good it is, the comparison with taa is frankly head scratching.

He was not offended and i don't think that he need you to be offended on his behalf.

I even like the dude.

Doesn't surprise me, the official documents for the NX says it does 6TFLOPS and then follows it up with 16FP

Isn't DLSS just math in a broad sense? Did NVIDIA invent anything here except the term they use for it?

Excuse my ignorance on this topic, but I'm really trying to understand this topic as it seems its a pretty big deal for the future of games.

All I can say after seeing the review of the RX 6800 is, AMD need something like DLSS ASAP, RDNA2 has an amazing performance in traditional rasterization, but is garbage in RT.
