SkillUp said he put the game on very easy not because it was hard, but because enemies were sponges and it made the fights just boring and drawn out to do. Its funny because this is exactly what I wished for in FFXVI.

I don't get why games need to draw out fights so bad, especially not when they are very easy to begin with. It benefits no one.

So fun gameplay and environments. Dumb as fuck hilarious dialogue.

Fine with me, I have no horse in this race. Never liked dragon age nor care about the lore.

so far in 2024 we got:

- butch lesbian gender swapped Mr. Freeze

- a game where your superpower was accusing people of racism

- a vacuum cleaner robot with gender pronouns

- a black samurai slaughtering Japanese people in feudal Japan

- finally a new Dragon Age game and it’s filled with overt moralizing about gender ideology, directed by a self-proclaimed “queerosexual gendermancer”

XboxEra review says BioWare's best, it's in his game of the year rankings but not only that, it's also in his best games of all time rankings. Says BioWare has finally matched their excellent third person combat with some of, if not their very best storywork to date.

I mean, that's his opinion of course but jesus that is some praise.

This is the most manipulated review process I've seen since Starfield.

Similar scores from the outlets that were allowed to have it as well. Absolute joke, they deserve to fall on their faces.

It's definitely the most eyebrow raising range of scores I've seen in awhile. There's a very clear push from some sectors of the gaming industry for this to be a success.

Listening to a few reviews right now.

So the game play is every bit as boring and mundane as the gameplay trailers showed. Shocking.

And the writing is as safe and inoffensive and juvenile as the story trailers showed. Shocking.

And the character design is the ugly, Fortnite-inspired, waxy, Temu Pixar look we all saw in every trailer before release. Shocking.

Does anyone else remember that anonymous report that Bioware's employees hated the initial trailer because it misrepresented the game? I called bullshit on that story immediately, because clearly the game is as bad as every bit of media that Bioware put out.

And yet, looking at gameplay you can't see an inkling of any of that stuff, strange...

Glad it's reviewing ok. Mostly liked what I've seen from trailers, and have enjoyed the first 3 games a lot (and not DA:O as much as most as I'm not really into CRPGs with that type of combat--think that's the only of that type of game I've finished and that was with playing for the story).

Will probably make this the first full game I play through on PS5 pro, though I'll check out some more graphically impressive games as well of course. More in the mood for an RPG right now that RE4 Remake or Spider-Man 5 that I was saving to play on the Pro.

From watching the ShillUp video, this is a 5/10 *at best*.

Awful writing, weird animations, no emotions in the faces during conversations, no impactful choices (in an RPG), boring combat, terrible level layouts with slides everywhere, braindead env puzzles etc etc. It looks like a turgid waste of time.

On the positives, it's technically good, good environment art, good performance and no mention of crashes/bugs.

So the programmers cooked while the writers, level designers, combat designers etc were asleep.

This confirms even the 7/10s are rigged. :messenger_grimmacing_

They are likely hell bent to get BioWare to return to form as many fans hope for since they went downhill. I could see why EA would want to see this pop up in summaries. But if the game is shit anyway it will be refunded and the sales will only be front loaded so w/e.
