Honestly BG3 was a little too woke/cutesy/"contemporary" for my tastes, I would have really preferred a more serious tone. But by god it's Shakespeare compared to this.

Resident Evil 4 Remake and TOTK were the best of 2023. And try Rogue Trader, it's a CRPG like BG3 and it's way better in my opinion even with it's much lower budget.

I typically like this guy too, but I was bummed he didn't go into any detail really on the actual writing and dialogue. I appreciate that Skillup gave pointed examples on why it was so bad, which matches all these absolutely cringe ass scenes were starting to see now.

Morts seemed way more 10,000 foot view. I dont think he got paid to shill or anything, but I was let down by his review overall he couldnt specifically counter any of the negativity. Surprised someone who is such a massive RPG guy completely passed over commenting on the state of the writing.

Edit, this game looks like it has some of the most atrocious writing I think I've ever seen it takes a lot to make me cringe, I'm a 4chan veteran I have been around the internet long enough that I have seen almost anything things that would crack weaker men and have, and this made me cringe Within 30 seconds

Every single line of dialogue, every single character interaction in that brief 30 minutes that was posted earlier let alone these other clips, it was so ham-fisted, so ignorant of anything and everything outside of its Social Circle.

So poorly constructed from any purpose of plot or character, so into lecturing and talking down to the reader rather than taking them through a journey, and so up its own ass that it can no longer pick up on the scent of methane as it inhales its own emissions on a level of toxic positivity where you walk on eggshells that allowed to offend anyone...

As far as I remember the "breast milk theft" was mentioned a couple of years ago during the drama about "Blizzard being a toxic environment" (and God knows if it wasn't a complete exaggeration). This man hasn't been with the company for what? 12-14 years at this point?

I think the dude is a complete moron, but labeling him as a pervert and blaming him of a crime with no evidence just because people don't like him seems more than a bit unfair, if not even slimy.
