That said, the priest class (I think) learns the ability to tell you anywhere.

Nice. I just finally ordered DQIV, but I'm having trouble locating a copy of V.Easystride said:And now I just need Dragon Quest VI!

The only trick I know if is that you can save skill points earned on one class and spend them on another. There should be plenty of points in the game, though.SHOTEH FOCK OP said:So I recall some sort of "trick" to allocating skill points? My question is, do I really need to worry about anything like this, or can I just enjoy the game, allocating skill points as I go along and see fit?
Oh, love the game so far!

Localization seems alright, perhaps a little less flavorful than the other DS games. Hard for me to say, so far. Sandy definitely seems less outrageous and annoying, though that just might be a limitation of the English language; I just know that, in the JPN version, I had a hell of a time understanding a lot of what she said.
Hoping this sells well.

Love my cute new dress!
Oh, and fffffffffff the armamentalist unlock quest. I finally finished it, but it was a nightmare. I know there are much worse quests in the game, too. (._. )
Localization is much more in line with DQ8 than the DS games, which is a huge plus to me.BlueWord said:Put in about two hours earlier, enjoying it, so far. I always love the beginning of DQ games, where you can really see the leap in power after just an hour or two of playing.

It gets harder post 2/3 of the main game, but not NES/SNES hard.KeioSquad2 said:Okay, I'm at level 9 and im at the part whereand I love this game. But does it seem a little easy to anyone else? Well just speaking for myself, the text speed is rather normal. It's a lot faster than most older RPGs without any control over text speed, but not as fast as past DQ games when you set it to the fastest speeds. Personally, I never noticed. The only thing I did notice that others have pointed out in this thread is the lagging framerates. Even that is pushing it since it only happens every once in a while. Maybe it runs better on a DSi cause I'm using my DSLite.Serenade said:Is the text speed only a problem in battles or in out of battle text boxes as well?
This isn't a deal breaker for me but it would help temper my expectations.

I just went from the first town, all the way over to the right side of the first map, went through a dungeon and beat a boss but the only save spot I could find was the one in the town. Is there something I'm missing?

Permanent saves can only be made at churches. The focus in DQ games is a little bit different than other RPGs, in that your ability to conserve resources is tested.Bentendo said:Are there save spots in this game? 0_o

Thanks. I guess the text speed is okay because I do tend to read everything in RPGs if the dialogue or mythology is interesting.Big One said:Well just speaking for myself, the text speed is rather normal.
