I accidently was thrown in jail, and I was looking for my stuff. Turns out that you automatically get your stuff when you get outside

That was epic, man! Yeah, I haven't seen the guy who said the graphics are barely different. It's night and day. This battle too, is way better on DD2. Everything about the game is.
And the first time was even crazier believe or not lol. I kept the fight in that second area because I didn't want to spoil what the rest of the area is like, but it was absolutely batshit crazy fighting the griffin there. I'm struggling to think of any other game where the emergent gameplay is as on point as this game.

Dammit.....screenshots stopped working in Windows for some weird reason. Anyway.....I was in Vernworth and heard some noise as well as some citizen cowering. Went to find out what it was and a gotdang ogre had found its way into the city somehow. Naturally I joined in the fight. Wish I could have taken a screenshot. Was really cool seeing about 20 different folks attacking the thing. Took him down in no time.

This game is so damn cool.

Sounds crazy, but I get the same scared shitless feels when it starts to get dark outside just like in Dying Light 1. Also like DL I simply don’t go out at night, not yet anyway. I ran into a pack of wolves which ended up luring over a cyclops and I noped the fuck out back to camp 😂

Killing trash mobs with the Warrior is so fucking satisfying. Swinging a fuck off Great Sword and just cleaving enemies into red mist. Even had a Pawn comment on how ridiculously large my weapon was and wondered how I lifted it.

I love this game lol

I’m only level 15 but the game is getting better the more I play. Like the first game it’s lots of little things that add up to make an incredible experience.

One of things I love is how weak you feel in the beginning. That’s how RPGs need to be because the power growth is so much more satisfying.

Also the uppercut swing for Warrior might be the most satisfying skill in the game for me so far. It feels right out of Berserk.

Though I did learn the hard way that while you are airborne you are vulnerable. I uppercut a troll only to them get yeeted into a cliff with a backhand while still in the air. Lost half my health.

Tag, you're it.
Holy shit. Griffin spoiler:

So I see a griffin, I say to myself it's time I'm doing it. We start the fight, I don't do too much damage to him but with a bit of time it will be ok, when SUDDENLY he flies away

I cling to him and this rascal takes me for a ballad. A few kilometers later, he land in his nest!

2054970_20240323194459_1.png

And I start fighting, I take two bars out of his life and THEN HIS WIFE JOINS THE PARTY!

Let's just say it did not ended well for me...

Some of the animations here are super cool. I was semi parkouring up some rocks and occasionally I’d do an auto front flip to get to the higher ledge.

Got gangbanged hard by some goblins earlier. Need to get myself a mage. Found a camping kit and felt like such a baller.

The game also does a great job at mimicking today’s economy. $1000 for one night at an inn 😂 go fuck yourself
Wtf, they ask 1500 to me :lollipop_squinting:

I think there might be a bug with the pioneer's cape, whenever I equip it on my pawn she doesn't dash anymore; equipped it on my arisen just to make sure there isn't some hidden run block on it, but I can dash just.
I guess if you notice a pawn isn't keeping up with you, check their equipment and try unequipping stuff.
Wtf, they ask 1500 to me :lollipop_squinting:
different places ask different prices.

it becomes more fun after you get to the capital and they unlock the fighter skills. you are still in the tutorial area. the L1 skills you get for each face button are cool and then if you picked a mage as your pawn, you can upgrade her as well, and she will augment your blades with fire then start raining down hellfire on everyone.

do the vocation quest to unlock the warrior class and it will unlock even more skills that dont rely upon L1 buttons. the game is full of different things you can do with your character.

Depends on the inn I think. Could swear I've payed up to 2000 for a single night.
Goes even higher than that.

The quest to unlock warrior/sorcerer is literally one of the first ones you can do as soon as you reach vernworth.

I think i'm gonna go berserker and then spear warhead for this run.

Sorcerer in d1 was ultra easy mode :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

But i kinda wanna see the giant tornado skill now that the game has proper ragdoll :lollipop_squinting:

Finally tried out mage. The lightning bolt blasting over and over if you hold l1 is amazing. All three classes so far, fighter, ranger, and mage, have all been a blast. Gonna try warrior next.

I was obsessed with the first game when it came out, and have been ridiculously hyped for this since it was announced. So far I have put 15 hours in and it's everything I hoped it would be really, my only gripe is the size of the game, its really not that big. At first the map looks massive then I realised half of it is water and I've explored most of it already, that was really disappointing. I still have a lot of quests etc to do so there is plenty of game left but its very much a 'safe' sequel. Still a 9/10 for me so far but I did think they might have added a few surprises for us

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
Had to force myself to stop playing for a while so I can get some other stuff done. The mark of a great game.
Don't worry, I'm about to take Snitch for a stroll so he won't be bored.

The game is incredible.

I wonder why it took them 12 years to release a sequel

First one was highly slept on for some reason.

I would have said this paves the way for more like it from Capcom, but the less than stellar reception has me questioning that despite the record breaking concurrent player count on Steam.

There are SO many fantastic ideas and mechanics that don't exist anywhere else. I hate the idea that they might be abandoned for any reason. At least we got the sequel!

For some reason I've only been playing with two pawns because I thought the party maximum was 3 but it turns out the party can have up to 4 characters lol... :messenger_hushed:

Holy hell. I'm glad the first game prepared me for some of the more obtuse aspects of DD.

Stuff like this is surprisingly easy to miss.

Yeah.....it throws a lot at you and I'm just having a ton of fun early on playing that I decide to come back later to this stuff......and holy shit, now my archer is really a badass.

It's actually some bullshit. Pretty much proof that they didn't spend enough time on this game, or it wasn't tested.

The first game tutorial shows you pretty much everything. From skills, to climbing on enemies, aiming weapons, throwing objects, recruiting pawns, etc.

This new game tutorial teaches you... to throw rocks. That is literally it. You are on your own in every other aspect.

Started playing on ps5 today. The game is amazing !!!!
Who the hell said it’s unplayable mess of a game with ps3 graphics ?!
It looks fantastic and even grass reacts to you swings. All animations are physical and it feels so good.
Frame rate is so so but the controls are good and input lag is good. Maybe they couldnt lock to 30 without lagging it out… but that way or another it’s ok. If I knew 30fps lock is coming soon I would wait but it’s not something I would wait too long for.

Anyway - do I do waterfall cave now ? I got in there with Gregor, took too long and he took off. No idea where lol.

Also - the amc health is down even after loading. Seems kinda annoying

That reminds me of BG3 a lot in that respect, I was new to D&D rules, needed several guides and a lot of reading but by the mid point of the game I was all powerful, I suppose a similar thing is gonna happen here, only an hour in so far and its enjoyable

In the trailer the player changed vocation amid combat from mage to mystic spearhand to thief. Can you do class hot swap like this in actual game?

Holy shit, the combat frequency is over the top. I just had a string of 5 attacks in the exact same spot, and when I moved 10 meters another 4 attacks! It's around every fucking corner.. Wtf, Idk, if this is the norm in the game Capcom needs to dial down the absolute ridiculousness of it. Most else about the game I really like.
