Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen PC |OT| Wolves hunt in 4K

so.. where do I find the thing that makes you teleport around? I made an escorts mission that brought me way too far to where I started if
People not reading my FAQ :'( lol

It's in Gran Soren, storage at the inn. Eternal Ferrystone, under Tools. It doesn't let you teleport everywhere; just places where there are port crystals. At the start you have one in Gran Soren and Cassardis, and Bitterblack Isle once you've visited it.

Anyone rotating this game with any other games? I keep getting burnt out on rpgs lately
still haven't returned to Pillars or Witcher 3
, so I think I might try to pair it with something different to keep it fresh.

Yes, thanks to being able to convert my 360 save, I can just fire it up and fight monsters whenever I get the urge without having to re-do the campaign, all the missions, etc.

Yup, you gotta pass the bandits. Its best to fire at them from range and let them come to you, little by little if your too low of level.

The first few sorcerer spells suck. Your going to be mostly using mage spells, so its best to max out mage before going sorcerer because your not gonna have good sorcerer spells right off the back...................but the spells you get later on as a sorcerer.........................GAME CHANGERS!!

They MORE than make up for the lack luster sorcerer spells early on.

These spells take a REALLY long time to cast, we're talking like 10-20 seconds. And in combat thats a VERY long time, but once you cast them...........its pretty much game over for everything but boss level enemies.

A single high level sorcerer spell can decimate the entire battlefield.

But that makes enemy sorcerers just as threatening. You see an enemy sorcerer, you make that your top priority to take em out ASAP or your whole team is fucked if they get a cast off.

Why it's better to max out mage first if sorceror already learns mage's spells? does some classes have effect on others?

didn't got it.. this means I have to go back by walking? with all the beast respawn in? good lord...

Augments (abilities you can purchase with DCP that apply passive buffs to your char). That said, just play the classes you like. No reason to not change classes if you want to. If you really get into it, there are mods out there that let you completely rewrite your character's stats, so I wouldn't worry about getting the "wrong" stats.

After doing
Selenes Escort Mission
I found that healing spring, and bought a hundred empty flasks from the potion shop in Grand Soren. Used a portcristal there, and now whenever i want some free recovery itens, i just jump there to fill my flasks with healing water. 10/10 game.

Dayum, page 23 already? Excited to see the game getting this much love!

Also what's this inventory limit removal mod I'm seeing some people talking about? Where can I get it?

Lol, I always carried one port crystal with me at all times, so I could just go back to gran soren whenever I wanted to download/upload inventory and then just blip right back.

This game is excellent. Never did play the PS3 version, I always talked myself out of it. Glad I didn't this time as it's a solid port and a hell of a lot of fun!

Okay, I still can't seem to figure out why I am getting low FPS in this game. I've tried reinstalling it, lowering my resolution to 720p and still can't get a solid 60FPS. I think I might try Display Driver Uninstaller next, but given that all the other games that I have are working fine I just don't see what the issue could be.

Here are my specs:

CPU: Intel Core i7 860
GPU: nVidia GTX 970
RAM: 16Gb DDR 3
SSD: Samsung 840 Evo

You should be murdering this game with those specs. I'm like locked 60 FPS at 1080p with most of everything on max, with a GF960, 8GB, regular HD and much worse processor.

I get the impression that Mystic Knight is a good focus point for a first time player as they are a very balanced class. You are motivated to get high attack values, magic attack values, and health.

You are going to want a good mix of vocations.

Yes, certain skills can only be learned from using a certain class, but once they're learned, you can still use them on some other classes. Like some skills that you learn from a mage, can be used on a mystic knight, or a sorcerer. The advance classes dont learn some of the skills that the base class learns. Some skills learned from the basic class, cant even be used on an advance class.

for example, the healing spells you learn on a mage, cant NOT be used on a sorcerer.

some other skills that you can learn from a class that can be used on all classes.

i'm alternating it with diablo 3, new season started yesterday

Yup. Got this and Pro evo on rotation

Edit: And the Mass Effect trilogy

I think it's been long enough that I can rotate this in with another playthrough of Puzzle Agent since I have forgotten most of the puzzles by now. Although I think I might go with a different puzzle game, something without a story since this is my first DD playthrough. Definitely want something non-action focused though.

Mystic knight ended up being my favorite class. You can truely be a one man army with that class and not even use pawns.

1. Yes when you get to the main city and check the inn to get pick up the eternal Ferrystone.

2. Dunno if there's a mod, but otherwise, no. Embrace the monster-huntiness of gathering.
Luckily MHX introduced "hold to gather until the spot is empty" :P

For modders, I've just parsed all arcs and created an excel sheet with some basic info on each file. Might be useful to spot duplicates or locating certain files by filtering.

I played Sorcerer first time through and the only major challenge was the
golem
. Sorc does have answers for that fight though.

I'm fairly certain any class can work through the game and what's most important is making sure you like the playstyle. Or at least, that's my experience.

mystic knight is a defense focused class

if you've played dmc, it's basically like royal guard but a lot easier to use, you basically block to do damage

very accessible and also gives you "the feel of a pro" :P

We'll need some sort of script merger for this game. I'm using the mod that combines Into Free and PS3 Button Icons, and I can't even test the weight mod because it's one of the same files :C

Thanx, I think i'll just change to a melee class. I was having so much fun with strider and low level sorcerer is so boring.

Does this means that Warrior is not a good first time class? or just that mystic knight is more accessible?

You can enter Bitterblack Isle from level 3. It is the best content in the game by far.

yep, not for new players btw. I'm doing my run there, killed the first boss solo
(the giant beholder)
, lvl 30. I did not do the escort to gran soren quest yet :D

Now I kinda wanna try mystic knight -.- I finally figured out that you can equip clothes AND armor, this makes a kid char much more pleasant..

Honestly it's complete bullshit at this point. Unless one of the graphics settings that I have maxed out is know to cause huge FPS drops I don't understand what could be the problem. I am playing it with an Xbox One controller, I have Windows 10 Pro and the system specs I listed in the post you quoted. I just downloaded a hotfix that was released three days ago by nVidia to fix some sort of problem with memory speed in certain games, but it did nothing. So at this point I can reinstall my graphics drivers which might work or look at getting a refund because the performance for a game that looks like this is unacceptable.

BBI is much more Dark Souls than Dragon's Dogma. Wouldn't go in there until you're at least around level 50 and have some good gear. A lot of the stuff in BBI will just one shot you at early levels.
Thanks! I've played the game for millions of hours on the consoles already, so I'm sure it's alright if I fuck around with the cheats a bit
I can appreciate that. Note that characters can still only carry a certain number of items, even with the weight mod (unsure what the max # is).

Would it be wise to change class once you maxed it out or going from fighter to ranger screws up the stats too much? (talking about my pawn).

On my second play through on Xbox 360 using a new gamer tag (due to the restriction of just one save) I went to BBI from level 3 and stayed in there until I had fully cleared it.

It was a thrilling experience.

warrior has the problem of having 3 skills because it has only one weapon, i don't recommend it over other classes

Yeah I'm playing it right now and I really like the warrior class but the 3 skills sucks, as it lowers your variety of attacks. I'm hoping someone makes a mod with 6 skills.

ouch. Just lost maybe 40 mins of progress for not saving, got too used to the decent auto saves. Least i died to a random chimera, which was rad

Bosses like dragonkin will easily 2 shot even a lvl 200 character. Eliminators with their grapple deathstomp also.
