I just had a notification from Playstation, after clicking it apologises for the DLC not downloading and then it automatically entered a pre-order code because they failed to download with my PS+ edition.
It's for 4 items of which 1 is blank and missing. Just the Special RUF RT12 R, 100 Use Fame Multiplier and Special McLaren 12C showed up. It took forever stuck on a loading bar and the items still haven't downloaded.

Try refreshing a couple of times. Same thing happened to me.

Oh, I just posted this in the other thread;
A few moments ago I got this on the PlayStation App, and it won't appear on my PS4;
It won't let me click the icon to redeem the voucher either..
Anyone else get this and know what it's about? It's also the first time I've seen the notifications from PlayStation actually be used.

The game is great and while the server issues are unfortunate, they are (hopefully) soon completely fixed. On top of that, Rushy posts here from time to time.

The more I play it, and despite its flaws here and there, I almost confident Driveclub will probably be the new "Burnout 3" I've been waiting for so long... it's just very fun to play (offline and online), loads quick, looks great, drives great... it's the type of game you come back to every day
This is key!!... the problems EVO is having during launch are unacceptable yes... and as someone else here in thread already mentioned: if your attention span is short, your patience low, and you feel "cheated" by the whole servers situation, then stay away to avoid frustration... probably better to come back when everything is smooth

It's not actually showing up (the notification) on my PS4, I just got the notification on my tablet through the PlayStation App and I've left my PS4 on idling for about 5 minutes now. I'll leave it some more and if not I'll email them later or something.

I guess that might sound weird but honestly I'm kinda more annoyed now that it works occasionally than last week when it never did.
They are likely keeping servers down for maintenance during the early hours of the day, and letting people play as much as they can during the evenings. Makes sense.
They might be using the player met section to send out random invites.
If you would have said Burnout 2, I would agree 100%.
I'm in Portugal and did the Plus Upgrade so I should receive one soon I guess.
Either that or evenings in Europe are peak times when the servers are choked and US gets to enjoy the 'happy hours' during our evening.

Here in US East (Maryland), I've been online the last few nights around 10pm-1am eastern. Connected most of the time, but sometimes the MP races aren't available. It's gotten better about not kicking you out once you're in the lobby of a race. A few comments on the online:
1. Would be great to see how many are registered for a race beforehand. Did a team race that ended up 2 vs 2, though honestly it was just good to race at all! Most races are full or nearly full, but that may be partially due to many of the races losing connection and expiring before getting in to the lobby.
2. Some players are very aggressive while others will pass you or let you pass without trying to run you off the road. Nice mix so far, but you have to keep your guard up.
3. Not many people using mics so far. I can't tell if mics are handled differently in team races, but I doubt it. Would be nice but there's not a whole lot of strategy with how hectic these races can be. Either way, it easy to mute everyone in the pre-race lobby, though with the way the connections have been, you don't get much of a chance (it tends to connect for awhile in the lobby, then almost immediately move to the car selection process). I wish we could also text chat in the pre and post-race lobbies--makes me think of tournaments in Hot Shots Golf, and I want to wish people good luck, nice win, or good game/race.
4. Had a couple of races with people's cars ghosting and skipping around, but most races have been rock solid with no noticeable lag.
5. Wish they did a quick pre-race look down the starting grid so you could see who was where at the start. Speaking of which, how are the start positions decided? I can't tell if it's random or if lower level drivers are up front (I'm assuming random).
6. Would be nice to see other driver's levels as well as their club names (not just the logo) in the pre-race lobby. Maybe it's there and I missed it; I know we can click on people and see their profiles, but there's not much time to do it the way the servers are now.
I have a club that's level 5 right now: Autobot Armada. (Autobots was taken and I didn't think of Autobot Racing--darnit--so I picked something that alluded to a former TF series.) It's just me and my son so far, but I've sent some invites to friends. Feel free to send me a join request and fight for the noble Autobots!
Oh yeah, thought you implied you were in the US. I'm in Denmark btw and received it.
Look in the notifications menu. My console didn't say anything but the coupon was sitting there, in a sub item from the Direct from Playstation menu.

Yeah I know. My initial theory was that they have tuned it to meet demand in the evenings for EU and US respectively. I'm not sure anymore. The only thing that is certain is that US evenings are consistently better than US mornings.
What are some of the challenges for the online portion? It was shipped to me yesterday, but I would really like to wait to try the PS+ Edition to see if I will enjoy it. I do enjoy Forza, NFS, and Burnout. I was never too crazy about pure sim racers such as Gran Turismo.
I did join the GAF Club so I am really hoping the online portion is fun.
