Bout what i expect , having fun with it but you could already tell what was going happen leading up to reviews.
The PS+ version is the thing that could save the game if people actually enjoy it. It's basically taking the old shareware model, it seems.PS+ version will suffice then. Wallet is happy.
Looks like the PS4's Lair.
I guess the PGR formula is officially dead. This was a nice throwback, but arcade sims have no place in the industry it seems :/.
Yep.
No rewind feature is a negative all of a sudden?
Off track penalties are frowned upon.
No driving line is a negative.
But i get it, coming from Forza Horizon 2 which doesn't punish you for your mistakes and will hold your hand if you let it, the move to this game would be quite jarring I you are not a competent racer who understands fundamental driving techniques.
.
Knack was good as was infamous tbfQuest for a great 1st party game on PS4 continues.

Reviews so far seem cloudy with a chance of score drops.
They are reviewing the game for. What it has and according to them it doesn't have personality or that much fun. I can't say much because I only played it at e3 but I thought it was kinda boring and difficult but I'm willing to give it another shot with the ps+ edition. It needed more driving lines, more assists, more open worlds, more explosions, more HUD, more dlc.
What happened to reviewing games for what they are rather than reviewing them for what you wanted them to be?
What's unprofessional about it?Gamespot is a joke. It's a has-been review site that doesn't have a firm place in the current market, and is trying to reassert itself by slamming the game (and others) with an artificially low score. Just trying to be cool like Edge.
This game is NOT a 5/10. 6, 7, 8 MAYBE. But a 5? That's the sign of an incompetent reviewer who can't separate his biased lack of fulfilment from what is otherwise a solid racer.
Edit: I can't help but be dumbfounded by how unprofessional the Gamespot review is.
I have Knack, beaten it and had a great time with it, so, yeah. Can't comment on Ryse, don't have XB1
You seem pleased.Reviews so far seem cloudy with a chance of score drops.
Wonder what biogamergirl will score it.
Yeah, same here.I don't understand the fives and sixes, that's usually reserved for games that are utter crap. At worst Driveclub seems to be a fairly competently made racer.

All impressions from those who got the game early or are playing have been extremely positive. Gaming journalism.

Or an actual arcade racer, like a Burnout or something. You are now an open world arcade racer, a track based sim or Mario Kart. Nothing else in between.
He didn't score it higher. What's unprofessional about it?
I wasn't expecting 8s and 9s, but I'm surprised to see just how low the scores are.

Ugh, this comment.
I can always count on GAF.

I'll wait to see what the likes of inside sim racing have to say about this.
Yeah. I personally don't care for reviews, but it's good to see that the press is much more willing to give big, hyped games lower scores. I say this as a big Sony fanboy who wants this game to get all 9s so it can succeed.Review scores in general are getting lower. I welcome this. This game was probably a 8.5 last Gen but this Gen its a more realistic 7ish.
It's one journalist's opinion. Calm down, sheesh.

Still in for upgrade and season pass. I'm shallow enough to buy it purely for the looks (and the cool locations).
What about Forza Horizon?
