Dust: An Elysian Tail coming to Steam May 24th

Man, told myself I wasn't going to buy any more games for awhile, REALLY trying to save some money. AND I own this on 360 (but do all my gaming on PC nowadays).

And Im off until Wednesday.....

Bought! Not sure if I'm going to be able to play tonight but will definitely give it a whirl before the weekend is done. I've been following this game since before the XBLA release and I'm really excited to finally have it on PC/Steam.

I had three bucks from selling trading cards, so it was about ten bucks altogether, so yes, now I own two copies of it!
Noogy, please put it out for the Vita

loooool

I see. what you. did there. Not sure if it was intentional bit it got a laugh out of me.

Game looks sick. This might be a stupid question seeing as MS is publishing, but any chance of this seeing release on other OSes (like Mac/Linux) eventually?

It's kinda boring so far. I may be just tired tho

Really pretty.

Fidget's voice is the worst...not in terms of acting but the tone hurts my ears

Oh well...I supported it.

Probably will go into my backlog of good games I am too lazy to play lol.

Should I rub poison ivy on this guy's clothes or not?

Make your choice. Abuse a save file to perform the choice you DON'T want to make to get the achievement. Then re-load your save file and make the choice you're comfortable with and continue with your save file.

I didn't rub the poison ivy on his clothes. But I'm a softy when it comes to games and moral choices.

Optional for achievements

Speaking of which. I'd like to try and get everything on one playthrough. I started on Hardcore and I haven't encountered too many problems yet. Are there any one-time quests, items, achievements, etc.? I'm assuming the event you just commented on can be missed?

Holy shit this game is incredible. I feel bad for all the people who couldn't get past the art style.

Fidget is quite endearing instead of annoying, I find that surprising as I tend to generally dislike the "squeeky voiced flying companion" trope.

Thank you everyone for the support :) I'm sorry I've been quiet, been a busy day. But I am writing and tracking all issues and will address them as soon as I'm able.

As usual, my first suggestions will be the usual 'make sure your drivers are updated, and make sure you've got WMP installed. Also check those min specs!'

That said, I'm working on an update!

Thanks for continuing to work on a game you probably felt done with a long time ago!

Actually the issue I had with the character disappearing and dialogue being unable to continue is one also mentioned in the previous Neogaf thread for this game on the 360. Must be a tricky bug.

Downloading it now. Haven't had my 360 hooked up in ages so I never got around to buying it on XBL. Glad it finally made it to steam.

Is the game easy enough for me to want to start on Tough?

Absolutely loving what I've played so far. It was worth waiting for the port. :) I've always wanted to play this but don't want to get a 360 just for it.

Bought it on 360.. just bought it on steam.

I may never finish it, but what I played was good..

Hope the steam release goes well for you, Noogy :)

hmmm a restart of the computer fixed that. Game is gorgeous :D

it's a shame that my monitor is 1440p so its a little bit blurry even with high res portraits, but the colors pop and the animations.

So delish

This game is super smooth and very sharp on PC. Really nice stuff.

The game maxes my CPU for no reason, but I'm able to limit it to 2 cores. I can still stream at 60fps with no drops. So good.

I bought the 360 version day 1.

I'm thinking of buying this, does this run on most computers that would be considered high end in 2008?

You shouldn't have a problem with it. Do you meet the requirements from the Steam page?

I don't think i'd know. I most play older games on my PC which i'm sure will work.

Oh well, if it doesn't work I just supported noogy some more {<3 him} and still have the 360 version and if it does i'll enjoy this great game again :)

But is it installed? Cause you can uninstall it: http://www.mydigitallife.info/how-t...l-windows-media-player-12-wmp12-in-windows-7/ Maybe do that, un- and reinstall. Using any Codec-packs like K-Lite?

Actually yes, I think I installed a codec pack once. Hmm.

Were you able to run the game finally?

nnnope :) But I checked CPU usage, too, and it jumped to 100% on all cores when it crashed, so those things might be connected.
Oh well, at least there are more people with the exact same problem now in the Steam forums, so I hope this will be addressed at some point :)

Purchased and rec'd. Did my part!

I have to admit this and Hazaro's animated gifs look really cool. It's weird and probably seems self-serving, but there's something very enchanting about seeing your own game in gif form. Almost makes me want to buy it.

I don't understand, if you're the creator of Dust, why wouldn't you have it on your Steam account? Did something weird happen with the publishing/development of this port?
