E3 2014 | Nintendo Treehouse Live @ E3 [ it's over :( ]

MSNBC and CNN are just as dishonest about Obama as Fox. They just happen to show positive coverage of an extremely weak "leader" in which his biggest skill is pointing the finger at others and never taking responsibility.

Anyway....the Tree House coverage has been awesome. Nintendo is really shining this E3. Hopefully they will have at least 1 more big surprise but that is me being greedy.

I'm not from the US so excuse the bad analogy. But my point stands I find that they are extremely negative and uniformed with anything to do with Nintendo.

Wow, I watched that section and didn't hear that. I had my volume down quite a bit, and missed a couple sections here and there.

Why on earth would you show that stuff off? Reminds me of Mighty Number 9. (Granted that's Kickstarter, but still) I don't want to see concepts or work in progress. Show me something near completion.

Miyamoto was right, it was embarrassing. Keep the work-in-progress in-office please.

You not but other people yes? I so hard to understand that?

on nintendo's e3 site under Mario Maker it says:
With the tap of an icon, users can even switch the visual style between a classic 8-bit Super Mario Bros. look and the HD world of New Super Mario Bros. U in the E3 version.
i'm guessing they'll be more to the game.

We must have watched different streams because they made it explicitly clear multiple times that they were very early concept demos, Miyamoto was even embarrassed to be showing them off.

Well it seems Nintendo just used them as a reason to bring Miyamoto at E3 , it was a shame all that part. Maybe Miyamoto will reveal that 3DS game otherwise they just used Miyamoto as a marketing tool

It's been hours and I've been sick and throwing up since then, but I remember them saying it before the event started, during the Sumo Robot demo, and I think either before showing off or during the Security Camera demo. I wish it was available somewhere to watch again and see just what was said, but I also remember feeling bad for Miyamoto because he was embarrassed and it made me think he was kind of forced to show these off too early just to show off uses for the GamePad they're testing out.

Does it really matter how many styles they have if they're all going to play exactly like the Original SMB?

I can't believe I'm saying this, but it feels like it should be free to play.

No, of course it's not. I actually am hugely interested in game development. But I just don't think it's the right time, because E3 has always been for 'selling' complete games.

I think it's obvious that there's a lot of confusion about that section, and that whatever it was they were trying didn't come off.

I would have absolutely no problem with what they showed if it was in a 'Nintendo Direct - Behind the curtain: Proof of concept game designs' or something like that. In E3 it felt like these were Miyamoto's new projects and that they were really strange and disappointing.

So the levels are set at this bite-sized length I guess. That seems like the sole drawback, this looks incredible.

Tezuka would've been mad if his development team came up with that level. If I was that guy that invented it and he said that, I'd run off the stage crying.

Was pretty funny, Tezuka saying if a member of his development made that level just now, he'd get mad. I'm loving the opportunity for craziness, and I'm excited for the final product if they add a bunch more items to mix up the courses.
