Mantzoukas totally just dropped a Hey Nong Man in the latest Brooklyn Nine-Nine episode.
I got to start telling more folks about Hollywood Handbook, every week it's so damn good. Brett was the MVP in the first segment and basketball chat is my secret favorite part of the podcast.

The great thing is that HH gets a lot better as it goes on. It starts really good but descends in to complete madness. So self-referential. Normally these jokes they tell over and over would get so old to me, but it just works with HH.HEY GUYS,
I finally listened to every Scharpling and Wurster recording I could find and decided it was time to move on to something else.
I chose Hollywood Handbook. I asked in this thread before about where to start but I didn't really enjoy it.
It's way too fucking good. You just have to start from the beginning. I also love the flow of the show. Letting the guys back and forth for the first third or half then the guest, who are always funny. I'm on Ellie Kemper now.
Started listening to Hello from The Magic Tavern and it's great! Really funny show, with a great continuity between episodes. They're just the right length too, usually between 15-30 minutes. I've honestly been cracking up so much listening to it, and unlike some other improv based podcasts, like Improv4 humans or even Hollywood Handbook, I find it's really easy for me to follow along even If I'm doing something else while listening. I'd wholeheartedly recommend it!

But you have some fantastic episodes to look forward too. Some of the recent ones are the best episodes. One of my favorite episodes is when they do negotiations. They startnegotiating with shares of Coca-Cola and end up just trying to get a can of Coke. When Sean calls his dad... Oh my god.
I'm the exact opposite with HH anymore. It got old for me real fast and now I find it difficult to listen to. It's been so long since I made it thru an entire episode.

Um, welllllll maybe you just don't like shows that are being good and making you bust up, in a good way.
I completely agree with you. I have no idea how to recommend it to people and make it sound appealing, but the show just works. Not an Earwolf podcast but Doughboys is fucking fantastic. I listened to them all then fell off during the Chompionship. Just caught up. Loved when Mitch said (paraphrasing) "If you put a gun in Nick's mouth blindfolded he'd be able to identify it."
*tips fedoraI started HH with episode 1 back in August and I've slowly made my way forward to the most recent eps. Holy shit thank everyone on here who evangelized that show because I am honestly kinda devastated that I don't have a pile of old ones to work through anymore.
I guess I'll try reality show show and maybe I'll say screw it and start HH over again!
I am about to throw up laughing from Hayes and Sean describing what to get your assistant for Christmas.

Sean and Hayes arw,on CBB this week
I'm only on Ep 2 of Reality Show Show, but thus far it sounds very "first podcast" as they are finding their legs. It feels weird to expect the characters from HH but get the guys being mostly their natural selves.
Do they slowly morph into their characters for HH as the show goes on?
"This is not my kind of music--if you even call it music" "Add a 'c' to this kind of music at the beginning and you kinda get my feelings on it." "Yeah, yeah: cmusic."
thought that moment was as good as it could get until Sean added on, something like a full five seconds late, "...chip-chop."
Sean and Hayes on CBB! are such a treat. I like that Sean and Hayes are really leaning into the show being unpopular lately, it's great. It reminds me of EHH Wrong. I also like that they're letting the guest (or Scott in this case) be the straightman to their bits in the last few months. I've been re-listening to some of their older shows and they used to have the guest try play along with them a lot, but it's nearly always funnier when the guest is just completely baffled by them.
Basically yeah. The opening segments start to get more Hollywood Handbook like as it goes along, it's neat. I think some of their bits get more and more HH like as it goes along too, but it's present from the start. Stuff like Tanks but no Tanks is basically the same sort of ultra ironic humour they do on HH now, just a little less refined. I really enjoy not in character Hayes and Sean though, hearing them talk about reality shows so excitedly is fun to me.
Btw, if you haven't already you should listen to the episode of With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus that had Hayes and Sean hosting, it's basically another HH ep. They reference it in this weeks CBB!
Stop the teaser I want to get off!
Also, just made this for you fine folks:
No, I think that's Drew TarverWait is that Sean????
