Elden Ring Nightreign launches with 313,593 CCU on Steam

I probably low-balled it, so I'm taking my victory lap while I still can:

66% steam rating not looking good, but FOMO doing numbers regardless

Most negative reviews I'm skimming through seem to be that the game sucks to play with randoms. If playing with friends, is it OK? I think I'll stick to co-op mod.

From what I've seen, the game is exceptionally difficult so if you even have one weak link, it's over

The odds of getting matched with a perfect team is pretty low

If your friends are really good, then you might do well

The bosses seem like no joke

If this is anything like Elden Ring when it comes to the skill level of randoms, this seems like it can be an incredibly frustrating game

I'll be playing whenever bandai namco decides to send my collector's edition from France to the UK even though the game now out! 😭

Western AAAs need to get it through their stupid heads that if you give people what they want, they will still pay for it and play it.

It makes perfect sense, elden ring sold 30m copies, there are milions of players who thought nightreign is simply next/ standalone expack to elden ring, hell its even titled in that way to make sure ppl assume that.
Give it a month and see if/how much ccu it has then.
Still game gonna sell probably 5 to 10m copies w/o any problems, but what can u do, souls/ER brand is simply that big already.

It's a From Soft game. I don't expect anything less.
Watch all the try hard streamers that speed run these games with no armor take it as a challenge to carry randoms.
Don't know if that's possible, haven't looked at any streams yet, but it would make great content.
Eh, I don't find any of the earlier From game frustrating

Challenging? Sure. But they always felt fair when playing single player, so I was never frustrated

Apparently the move sets are different than any other title to adjust for group mechanics, making shitty players or losing a player a bit of an issue

There are of course people who are insanely good at these games and can probably carry other people. Some people are really, really good at these games. But we are talking .000001% of the 300k players online. Also I've heard that's even only possible with certain classes, but we shall see.

I havent really been following this. Whats everyones problem with it?.
Because it's not single player. I'm sure that's why the reviews are plummeting. If you're not into rogue likes or cooperative multiplayer games, you won't like it. I thought this was FS wanting to experiment. But other folks have said it's a cash grab.

I played a few matches and I enjoy it. But I also enjoy rogue likes and love Elden Ring, lol.

Predicted between 100K and 200K, this is massive for sure. Not bad for >fromslop
I hate that slop is the new trending buzzword. Awful

In regards to Nightreign, not surprised. Still looks ok imo, I might buy at $20

The "Elden Ring" in the title was always a near guarantee for high initial sales, no matter the reviews.
Curious to see if this has legs though as the issues especially the progress stuff, are quite substantial according to them.
Well probably doesn't matter to From as they've surelyv already made quite a profit at this point.

Whatever From is making next....is all of a sudden going to be Elden Ring 2. Spellbound my ass. Gonna be the code name for it. Gotta ride this $$$ wave.

This game may break the record for most refunds ever. It's either a game you will enjoy or you will absolutely hate. It doesn't take long to realize which camp you are in

Im watching Vara Dark live playthrough. It looks fun. Lesson learn, dont doubt fromsoftware, they are like Rockstar and Kojima. Wow just imagine how many will play there Nintendo Switch 2 game Duskbloods.

My shitty opinion on it aside, I expected about 200k. Goddamn.

GAF and, sorry bros, ERA have a total blindspot for MP gaming in common. The average modern gamer fucking loves MP gaming and this is Elden Ring on top of it. It was bound to sell like hotcakes.
