The only thing I miss about actually playing video games these days is Borderlands 2. I was very obsessed with that game. I miss playing it I miss the music and I miss the people I used to play with regularly.

I'm going to listen to the soundtrack when I get to work.

One of things I dread if I ever have children.

I'm programmed to worry. It's just how I function. I'd be fine during the day while they're at school. But let's say they're like five minutes late. Then I'd start to panic and think the worst had happened. That's how my mind works every time for everyone.

I love how you don't even mention that you win the tournament. Or that you won the semis and the finals undefeated, and went 11-3 in the finals, the largest point margain and the highest score of the night.

I rent my friends a couple rooms in my house and so I guess I'm a landlord. Let me tell you it's not all that awesome all of the time. Sure, I'm making money off them but I've had to repair my air conditioner last year for like $800 and today I'm having to get my oven fixed for around $400.

Home ownership can be a bit of a drag.

it was weirdly vivid too. at first we were hanging out with friends and stuff then she had to go back to her apartment and there were some weird communication issues about that. A bit later on the news I heard there was shooting in her area so I called and went to check up on her. When I got there there it was a crime scene and such so we had to leave again and on the news we later saw her picture along with a man that I knew that she was sorta friend with and might have been an ex or something. The news blamed her for murder/suicide at first since the gun was hers and it was apparent that she fired at him but eventually they found out that is was self defense and the guy had anger issues or something.

I'm gonna miss her even though she wasn't real. RIP

I'm actually not specifically into freckles. if someone i like has them it becomes part of their charm but overall its nothing that gets me excited

It's one of those things that will make me overlook other features that I may not normally like.

It's probably because I like distinctive facial features I guess? I'm basically face blind as we figured out :lol

I took this midterm last Thursday. I had a cold and therefore got a low B on it. This brought my low A down to the high B I currently have.

I totally blame the cold. This is just a bullshit elective so I don't care too much but it is just a bit annoying. I'm currently sitting at a 3.75 GPA and I really don't want to see that knocked down too much further.

I want my ribbons and shit

I regularly take naps after work before doing a bit of cleaning and then settling in for a long session of lazy, pantsless video gaming.

How close are you to graduation?

This is fine, at least you live there (or it sounds like you do), it's more when people have multiple houses that they have purely to generate more money for themselves that I don't like it.

I mean being fair I don't so much dislike the people who do it (unless they're also just generally shitty about it) so much as I dislike the fact that this is a fully accepted and allowed thing. Like I'll give lilith's dad the benefit of the doubt that he's not shitty about it, as she seems a generally pretty rad person. Plus I realise I'm way outside of the mainstream on this, and I'm not going to dislike everyone who doesn't subscribe to my worldview. I want to actually talk these things out, rather than just yell at other people that they're wrong, which is why I'll go into more detail on these things like I hope I have here when I could've just left it as a drive-by thing.

So maybe fuck landlords was a bit inflammatory. I'll retract that >_>

Assuming I go straight through with no breaks I should be done by December of next year.

the only thing that would throw this off is getting my kidney transplant. There is about a 3 month recovery time on that where I'll probably have to sit out work and school for that amount of time.

why not? it's a perfectly legitimate way to make money. It's not like it's child labor or something. Nobody is forcing anyone to live in a particular place. Often times renting a room from a private landlord is much cheaper than renting an apartment from an apartment company.

it sounds like your problem is that you don't like people making money and that you have a problem with earning it yourself.

It's interesting. I'm listening to The Proud Tower by Barbara Tuchman right now, it's all about the 20-30 odd years leading up to the first world war and there is a chapter in the book that deals entirely with Anarchism and Socialism and Communism emerging and flourishing and it's eventual decline in Europe and America. I'd never really read up on the history of it's origins before the war and hearing some people talk on GAF it is the exact same kind of things people were saying in 1895. As if these ideas lay dormant and preserved in the Western World until time came that they could come out again fully formed.

Obviously there were stirrings throughout the 20th century, it never really "went away" but the popularity and force with which it has returned can only be attributed to this Victorian-esque era of leisure and decadence and self-reflection that the world hasn't seen since the late 19h century. Compare that with the revolutions in Russia based on the same ideas but driven by a different kind of decadence. The cycles of history are so fascinating.

I thought it was okay. I'm not big on movies where the antagonist's reasoning for committing horrible acts was "because we can and we're fucking nuts" but I can recognize when a movie that does that does a good job. Other movies that fall into that category are Knock Knock and The Strangers.

Used to have freckles at some point, but like my birth marks I got too dark to see them.


All I remember from last night is someone peaking into my door when I was about to fall asleep and telling me something about a pastrami sandwich.
