I can't wait to see how happy Cena will be when he wins the belt. It will be well deserved.

Already entered: Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Samuray Del Sol, Facade with more to be added!!!

Hopefully that Shingo vs Tozawa match will be for the belt once Shingo beats Johnny. Actually, I may not even order this one if Shingo fails to beat Johnny. To quote Owen, enough is enough and it's time for a change!

Also, that Ladders are Legal FRAY match sounds like a bad idea, should be a fun spot-fest, though hopefully no one is injured.

I'll be there! I predict someone is going to get impaled or decapitated by a ladder in the Fray match.

Also, whatever happened to the counting punches in the corner spot? Or strike exchanges in general? I miss all that from the WWE style.

The 10 punch spot still happens but what I notice now is the face always stops after the 9th punch to pose before throwing the 10th and final strike. That kind of ruins the spot because the fans don't realise until it's too late and count 10 anyway.

BTW is there anyone in the world who can teach Cena how to Apply the STF/Crossface so its actually believable?

Every single time you can tell that there is no pressure applied, NOTHING. last night Punk had to make an adjustment just to make it appear as if there was anything going on, same with Rock at last years WM. That PileDriver by punk looked vicious, so did his GTS, and the Anaconda Device.

Oh and FFS stop making that ridiculous face.. You look like a freaking clown while applying a really passive looking STF..

I think Cena's biggest problem is that he doesn't remember what it was like before he was John Cena. He so used to just getting by on being John Cena he doesn't ever know what hes supposed to be anymore.

I fucking marked out for the Cenabomb and the piledriver. What a great match.

Cena must have read my posts about there not being enough powerbombs.

Edit: You guys never know, Taker could give Punk the streak. I don't think he needs it, but I remember Michael Hayes saying that Taker never thought Punk was worth anything until he worked a match with him and completely changed his mind inside the ring. That seems like huge respect from the guy.

Cena talking about being "back" I don't think has to do with being a main eventer or championship holder, I think it's more like "that guy the entire internet didn't hate is back." His whole thing about "critics" looks to be directed towards the IWC.

So WWE Saturday Morning Slam is Getting a GM?

n the first episode, which airs on March 2, mayhem breaks out among the Superstars of WWE Saturday Morning Slam. It’s time to bring in a powerful General Manager to reign them all in. As the WWE Superstars start to jockey and compete for the chance to become boss, things get even more heated.

The battle to be boss continues on March 9 when four top WWE Superstars face off to impress the powers-that-be. The electrifying conclusion to the story will air on March 16 when the new General Manager of WWE Saturday Morning Slam will be crowned.

WCW Thunder 1/10/2000

TO THE BACK. Ric Flair hard sells Sin. Sid vs Steiner for the title tonight! The mystery man is here.

Show run down. We'll also get Kronik vs Totally Buff. And a whole lot more!

TO THE BACK. Shane Douglas convinces the NBT to take out MIA for him.

Kwee Wee/Big Vito vs Palumbo/O'Haire

Paisley is wearing a baggy sweat shirt. Stevie says Kwee Wee's stock has dropped dramatically in the past few weeks. Tenay agrees. "Yeah, now what about that, Tony?" "Wooow, getting double teamed here." Paisley changes into Vito's jacket and hat. Tony may have jizzed in his pants. To be fair, she looked really hot in it.

vlcsnap-2013-02-25-23h40m55s141_zps66448df1.png

Vito moves oddly in the ring. His head always looks so oily. Jamie Tucker, the ginger ref, put on probably 25 pounds over the past year. Chuck and Sean don't have the cool double team moves that Jindrak and O'Haire had. Reno Rolls the Dice on JTB on the floor. Seanton Bomb for the win. This was pretty long for a TV match. Reno also lays out Vito. His taunt looks like he's jerking off.

TO THE BACK.
Gene is with Shane Douglas. He'll team with Stasiak and Jindrak. I think this is the first time I've heard Jindrak talk. Hugh was watching when Wall and Lash say they can't work because of blood work. "Do not let him SWERVE us!"

Filthy Animals vs Team Canada

Duggan is on color wearing a Cosby sweater.

vlcsnap-2013-02-25-23h50m09s48_zps7a802cb4.png

Stevie asks how we are to believe Jim can call it down the middle when he turned on America just a few months ago. Stevie is again all over #hardbodiedref. The big HO gets the hairs on Duggan's arm stand up. "The what?" "Ho. Ohhh, I got it!" Dragon suplex from Prime Time almost gets the win. Really awkward tombstone reversal spot with Rey and Lance. YAK ATTACK! The YAK fight means they missed some significant spots in the ring. Lance catches a springboard rana into a Maple Leaf for the win.

TO THE BACK. Lash and Wall are trying to get some blood work done, but the trainer is nowhere to be found. The Thrillers arrive with ether and someone makes a Kool Aid Man reference.

A hilarious Ronnie Milsap commercial was included. This has to be a joke. It plays like a Mad TV sketch. It's just him with weird lighting playing piano by himself and singing snip its of songs over and over and over and over.

vlcsnap-2013-02-26-11h51m30s204_zps6fb7ab89.png

TO THE BACK. Lash and Wall are throwing up. Trainer won't let them wrestle. The Thrillers and Shane think it is great.

vlcsnap-2013-02-26-00h05m17s174_zpsc5fd9ae8.png

Gene is with Kronik. After a break, Gene is with Hugh. SWERVE is mentioned again. Two guys offered to join Hugh tonight. The Insiders! Nash spanks Gene. Gene liked it. Sid walks around and gets attacked by Steiner.

Shane Douglas/Jindrak/Stasiak vs General Rection/The Insiders

Holy shit, SWERVE is said another 5 times in 30 seconds. Shane is heated because he got out SWERVED. Hugh is in the ring most of the match. Shane won't get in unless Hugh is down. The rest of the Thrillers come out and knock the SHIT out of Nash. Palumbo punched his head off. It legit SHOOT shook Nash. Hugh beats Shane with a powerslam.

vlcsnap-2013-02-26-00h21m08s214_zps814d9cf8.png

TO THE BACK. Gene is with the Thrillers. Gene is going to have Stasiak knee capped.

Harris Brother vs Meng

Who cares which brother it is. They switch, but Meng wins with a back suplex on whichever one switched. Kwee Wee runs in for a save and gets an H-Bomb. They tried it on Paisley. Knoble/Karagias/Jung Dragons for some reason try to attack or stop Meng.

Glacier hype video
. I really hope he returns soon.

vlcsnap-2013-02-26-00h29m07s132_zpse0e0a509.png

TO THE BACK. Norman hopes that Glacier got his fan letters.

The Cat and Ms. Jones come to the ring. He's going to eat Sanders' ass at Sin. What? Cat is heeling on the crowd and specific members of the audience. But he's the face? He's challenging fat asses to climb the rail and fight him. Sanders comes out. He's making a big announcement. Ms. Jones doesn't work for Cat, she works for WCW. If Sanders win, she becomes his assistant.

vlcsnap-2013-02-26-00h37m16s160_zps6e92bab2.png

TO THE BACK
. Ric is on the phone with someone.

Totally Buff vs Kronik

Fuck this. When Buff is the best guy in a match, you have problems. Goldberg arrives during this match and eventually arrives at the ring. He spears Crush while trying to spear Buff. Totally Buff bail out.

Sid comes out for a pre match promo. How do you punish a guy who walks out on your show because he didn't like his booking? Give him a title shot and a PPV main event, of course.

TO THE BACK. Steiner heads to the ring.

Scott Steiner vs Sid WCW Championship

Having Sid AND Steiner do double duty seems like a bad idea to me. Blatant low blows, blatant interference. "He just PUSSED him out of the ring, guys!" Sid is about to hit the powerbomb when the mystery man arrives. That's clearly Jeff Jarrett. The mask comes off and it's JEFF JARRETT! SWERVE! Wait, Ric Flair brings out the REAL mystery man. IT'S A SWERVED SWERVE! We're out of time, join us at Sin!

vlcsnap-2013-02-26-11h45m10s243_zpsaf4f94ff.png

The run down for Sin:

Steiner vs Sid vs Jarrett vs Mystery Man WCW Championship
The Insiders vs NBT WCW Tag Team Championships
General Rection vs Shane Douglas First Blood Chain On A Pole WCW US Championship
Chavo Guerrero vs Shane Helms WCW Cruiserweight Championship
Crowbar vs Terry Funk vs Meng WCW Hardcore Championship
Mike Sanders vs The Cat WCW Commissionership
Team Canada vs Filthy Animals Canadian Penalty Box Match
Goldberg/Sarge vs Totally Buffed
Reno vs Vito

IMPORTANT OBSERVER NOTES (Thanks to Sunflower):

It was announced on 1/11/01 that WCW had been sold to Eric Bischoff and Fusient Media. The sale was to be final within 30-45 days. The plan going forward was to remove all sports media from TNT and place it on TBS. Bischoff wanted to drop one of the main shows. TBS still owned a portion of WCW to retain television rights, but not have to deal with the giant financial losses. Brad Siegel said TNT and TBS would promote WCW MORE now that they don't own it, which doesn't make any sense to me. There were again plans for a 2-3 week shut down and reboot, except this time the reboot would come very gradually, which also makes no sense to me. Why bother shutting it down just to continue to slowly phase out everything? Can't you do that just the same without taking weeks off for people to forget about your programs?

“Revenue is a result of ratings” is something Bischoff was saying on interviews at the time. Eric had non-concrete plans to move WCW to Vegas or Orlando, as it would be much cheaper to run from one location and rely on tourists to come to shows. And thus, TNA was born. Now obviously, this deal was never finalized. I don't know what happened, but something fell through last minute and all these plans were scrapped. Most of the ideas Eric had for WCW went straight to TNA, though.

casuals will give it a billion buys regardless.

so many people watch (well, pay for) Mania and don't even watch/pay for wrestling at any other time of the year. it truly is the super bowl of wrestling.

they don't care about builds. they look at the card. "oh rock and cena again? oh hhh and brock lesnar? oh undertaker? looks good to me!" *buy*

So I heard that Vince was upset with the Piledriver use?

For those who didn't watch:

-First 10 minutes. BLOOD
-Bryan/Kane/Vickie/Mad Ox segment
-Miz losing is always fun
-Punk calling himself GOD
-Like 30-45 minutes of promos and HOF talk
-Sheamus' stupid promo was only good because of Barrett hyping himself up in a filler role
-Shield promo was decent up until the expected interferences.
-Cena/Punk match. Definitely one of the best matches so far.

What you didn't miss:

-R. Truth beating Cody. Dropped Sandow too.
-Khali and Mark Henry (I skipped this myself)
-Cena promos.
-Orton vs Cesaro match ended in a kinda cool RKOUTTA NOWHERE
-Hell No vs PTP in a blindfolded and one arm behind back match where they won

In between:

-Ziggler and Ryback match that resulted in an obvious Ziggler loss.

I wouldn't mind seeing another match against God, Vince and Shane did OK on their own against him.

Rock/Cena is likely to be a poor match. I don't really have any objection to the rest of the card though. I mean, yeah it's rematchs, but I enjoyed Brock/HHH 1 and I will almost certainly like Punk/Undertaker. The Shield will probably be in a 6 men with some good workers and Ryback and have a good match, Swagger/Del Rio has a build which at least makes it somewhat interesting and the rest should be fine. It's not amazing or anything but I see no reason to skip WM just because Cena is getting the belt.

STOP SHITTING ON MY MOTHER'S HEADSTONE
Because Punk needs something to do.

Basically this. WWE title match and WHC title match are set. Bork vs. HHH is set.

Punk is like the second biggest regular star on the payroll behind Cena and he doesn't have a damn thing to do.

Now they got a fast food sponsor it makes too much sense.

TLC match with a Sonic gift card dangling from the ceiling.

You guys need to stop making fun of physiques, they still look like ass kickers

burger on a pole match

Serious question, the pic above - that's Scott Norton. he's fat. and strong. does hit fatness make him look any weaker to you?

amazing isn't it? the #2 guy in the company and has nothing to do.

I gave WWE a chance after Royal Rumble but I can't do it anymore. CM Chunk had this great buildup of 434 days just to Youtube preshow, Sandow jobs to Sheamus every week, Ziggler..they're purposely trying to end his career.

Looks like it's going to be a great show. Support indy wrestling, folks, and women's wrestling, too, while you're at it!

Would be great if Kay's mystery opponent is Mia Yim and we get a rematch from their awesome cage match at GNO7, or Hailey Hatred vs Allysin Kay would be pretty awesome too.

As for the Ladder match, I'm predicting it'll be Athena vs Veda Scott vs Annie Social vs Sassy Steph. All the qualifying matches look good and, to my mind, Mary Dobson is the only weak link, so pairing her with another brawler like Annie is a good move. Should be a real fun show :)

The rage around here is sometimes borders on stupidity. CM Punk is facing the Undertaker and the build started with that promo. He is going to be in one of the top 3 matches on the card. Doesn't sound like the youtube preshow to me.

Also, just to compare is now better compared to Nexus days when Punk lost always and faced Orton in a throw away match on Wrestlemania?

Punk is fighting one of the biggest names in the history of wrestling at WrestleMania. The Undertaker is WrestleMania personified. How is this nothing for Punk? There's a big chance he's going to lose sure, but I don't think that's what matters. Like Jericho says, the match is more important than who's winning it. Punk is where he deserves to be on the card, many people would kill for his opportunity. Plus he might actually be the last one to fight Taker.
