PES demo genuinely feels like a better football game than the FIFA one. The visuals are pretty good as well, the crowd for instance looks a lot better on PES than FIFA. Something I also noticed is the atmosphere in the matches - it just feels like a Tuesday European night. I've never felt that in FIFA matches before.
well uninstalled the demo and going back to fifa 11, the demo is slow, sluggish and unfulfilling to me :[. It feels like counter attacking was removed from the game in favour of slow meticulous football, which may be good for some but for me it loses all appeal.

LT + pass does a finesse pass which is kinda similar to finesse shot, more controlled, smoother, side foot, it just rolls along the ground nicely. If you aspire to Barcelona like passing moves this is one to get to grips with. Considering holding LT also makes your guy control and turn it smoothly, you've got a good reason to hold LT 90% of the time.
LB+pass = one two so using the two L buttons in various sequences/combinations is the key to some silky football!

3. Graphics (PS3). I played FIFA 11 on my crappy HD 5450 and even that was better :|
4. It wasn't as smooth as I thought it was going to be (FPS; a bunch of stuttering)
Otherwise, the game so far has been pretty fun. It's no longer (as) easy to score and get scored on for intermediate players like me.

Ok, played a bit more. Discovered that to be the best defender possible, you must hold contain 99% of the time. The main advantage to this is that you will automagically intercept balls close to you, and sometimes autotackle.
The bad part, of course, is that you're holding contain down 99% of the time.
I now hate defending. It's good in practice in that it slows the attack down and forces better passes, but fuck me if it's not the most boring thing on the face of the earth.

It doesn't matter where on the little accuracy power bar thing I get it and/or how much power I put into the shot. I can just tap shoot and it is dead centre and it goes into the car park.

since they slowed down gameplay alot, and the cpu (especially on world class and legendary) has the tendency to really play possession soccer, the 3 minute halves did the demo a lot of harm
there was a tutorial for it in the world cup game where they first introduced it. strange it was never in the pc version. theres a small window where an invisible crosshair appears where you get to aim it, push it too much and it goes wideD4Danger said:

oh fuck this, maybe the tactical defending is more realistic but guess what? IT'S BORING.
thank god someone in here said you can change back to the old style. i really enjoy everything else about the demo though, even if the impact engine is a bit shoddy.
