That's normal. I like characters and character designs. I guess I can find those things sexy, but I wouldn't dwell on them to the effect of "oh man, I'd bang [anime waifu] so hard." I think people who fall into that trap [like hikikomori] see the fantasy of a woman who won't turn you down. The appeal of the impossibility of rejection pulls some people in.

Hey, rejection is not impossible. My tamagochi rejected me when I was younger. He/she met the end of a hammer, though.

Most of the time I prefer the characters wearing the outfit I know them for. I don't care for swimsuit versions at all. Unless I must really like a character or something, but it has not happened yet. Maybe that Maki Beach figure.
