Yeah, when I saw Kotori's base I thought "hmm maybe all of them together will make a big circle base" then when Eli went up for PO and I saw it was circle I though "Aww I guess that they will just get random bases" but then I saw that image and how it spells out Love Live! and it's really cool. If it's because BiJ requires payment upfront, Nippan-Yasan has them up for PO.

Yaaaay another Kaori figure. I like this better than the Aniplex one, but I kind of hope someone will make one of her actually playing her violin, preferably in the white concert dress. And then in a twist of amazing figure fate have an Arima playing piano to display with her.
Is she from that anime where the kid is a piano prodigy?

Yeah, I'm one of the Lucky 1000 who managed to get the Rebirth 1 LE from amazon but I did miss this one. I' not super bummed though, while it's cute it's not anything I can't live without. though Alter's determined to make me wait forever for it's beautiful black heart figure! Why no release date! T_T

Okabe Rintaro from PLUM was even worse. I unboxed him only to find that not only did the base have no pegs (it was just a flat surface), but one of his feet was angled slightly upward. Just enough to make him fall on his face. Right back in the box he went. But I wonder if I should try the hot water trick to bend the foot.

GSC made Satsuki look like a drug addict, but Super Saiyan Ryuko came out rad as fuck.

The GF and I have had a hellish week at the hands of a new landlord I can only describe as bipolar - stressed to the point of deep circles under our eyes and half-inch fuses. She suggested we hit our favorite geek store after work as an indulgence, and my heart leapt at the thought of browsing our nerdy nirvana.
She's been on the hunt for the Cardcaptor Sakura Nendo, so I called ahead to see if they had one (then I would put it on hold, under her name, and when she asked about it they'd say "I'm sorry, it's on hold," and then I could say, "well, her name's Kayla," and they'd say "then we have it on hold for you!" and it woulda' been supercool) - but they didn't have one. They told me on the phone they just had Attack on Titan and Sword Art Online ones, but still - our favorite store.
...plus I'd probably pick up a Mikasa Nendo if I saw one... but I digress. We went in. They had Link and Luigi, Levi and Armin, and a few SoA... Her shoulders drooped in disappointment - the same stuff they had last time we were in - but then I saw the side of a box.
A smooth sheen of black and purple. A regal bearing. Arcing wings. I plucked up the box. I didn't even have to ask. I handed it to her.

Devil Homura, for the record, is the GF's purchase I'm most pleased with. I can't love her like I love Snake (or Mako or Ryuko or Link), but she soars above all other Nendos in our collected collection with her crazy wingspan and sharp details (check out the pattern on the inside of her gown!) - she's the crown jewel of our little Nendopolis.

Yeah, these are part of the maiko/haregi set that GSC/Stronger is doing. Mami's out in a month or so and these last two were announced a few months ago and finally had their unpainted sculpts revealed at the last WonFes.

If you're in the US, you can order from Rightstuf if you don't want to mess with proxy. Since they are the only licensed seller for these figures in the US, they're not not "scalping" but they aren't really discounting them, either (for example, Homura is 12000 yen before shipping and was $135 including shipping from Rightstuf). With the exchange rate being what it is this year it might be better to get a forwarding service and just import from Aniplex.

In the wake of my Madoka high I bought the original GSC set, exclusive ending Homura, the figma set, the nedoroid set, a set of really high-quality soul gems, and Ultimate Madoka (1/8, nendoroid, and figma). I thought I was done, but I bought the kimono Madoka nendoroid at AX on an impulse, and I finally reached my limit. No more Madoka.
Seeing this gif just makes me wish we had LWA figures already. My witch collection craves them.

Well, it was because of release date, but it seems they come out later than I thought, so I probably can get them. I may order on Nippon Yasan then. I just have to watch what I order until like July (which is when I should have my license and can finally get paid for all this work I've been doing lol), but since they're Aug/Sept, I should be fine!

Oh and just so you know, Homura goes for about 13k B/B and 16k A/B on Amiami lately if you decide to go for the whole set.
Madoka's kind of hard to get these days. She goes for almost 20k A/B on amiami, I think 16k for B/B? I lucked out and got one from Navito World for $123 thanks to Meyneth who found some there that weren't listed on the NW web store (I contacted them directly and paid via paypal). Madoka is the only one of the set made by GSC (Stronger is making the rest of the set).
Mami's preorder phase is over already so you missed that, but there are sure to be a few preowned ones pop up.
