Final Fantasy 16 producer Naoki Yoshida has asked fans to please not make "offensive or inappropriate" mods upon the game's PC release today, September 17.

Yoshida wouldn't comment on any specific mods he wants to see in Final Fantasy 16 in an interview with PC Gamer, though made clear what he doesn't want to see.

"If we said, 'it'd be great if someone made X, Y, Z,' it might come across as a request, so I'll avoid mentioning any specifics here," Yoshida said. "The only thing I will say is that we definitely don't want to see anything offensive or inappropriate, so please don't make or install anything like that."

I guess he doesn't want to see a repeat of Tifa making an appearance at the Italian senate. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

The game already has nude models of Jill, Benedikta and Barnabas' mother, not to mention some of the boys as well.

They really made the job easier for everyone.

Does that mean any other mod is free game though? That's actually really nice unlike some companies i can mention... (stares angrily at Blizzard).

Producer: Don't make mods

Modders: Imma make all the mods

Look forward to Jill and Benedikta stuff probably.

It's funny though. He is so against mods in XVI but has a neutral stance about it in XIV. Hot and Cold this guy.

He is aware of how the internet works yeah? I refuse to believe he’s that dumb…which then begs the question, is that him expressing his desire to see the very things he’s asking people not to do…because that’s what it sounds like to me.

Lol good luck, like asking a fish not to swim. Pc is packed with sad virgins who can only enjoy a game by removing the main characters clothes or dress them up like a slut. Look at resident evil mods and how pathetic those are.

And mod that doesn't fall under this vague, subjective description is A-OK

He has to say this kind of thing as a signal to investors.

How can he not understand human nature.. he just created a challenge.
Brilliant marketing move! Now when it releases and we have tons of people making mods every site will be posting about these nasty mods and the game will sell even more.

Oh boy, they’re innocent as a Bambi’s first day in the world aren’t they?

Modders will have porn on nexus faster than an hex edit to support ultrawide

I’m offended by the inappropriate lack of ultrawide support.

Luckily, we have the mod community for that. I probably wouldn’t have double dipped otherwise.
