I'm glad they clarified and communicated this.
I remember how Fryevia was initially bugged, and people talked about terrible she was because she couldn't chain even with herself, and now she's become one of the best DPS units. It'll be interesting to see how A2's utility evolves over time as people find ways to chain her, and find good imperil units that she can be paired with.
500% chainable attack that completely heals A 250% ATK buffed player is going to be amazing.
I did several more multi-pulls on this need for a 2B now that I know another A2 would be chainable, but I didn't get anything of note again. I've gotten two rainbows, but neither are banner, my banner 5* from rainbow is like 25% right now. The banner rates are worse than the DV banner that we just had, I've in fact gotten both DV and FV off banner pulling in the Nier banner.

Heya, all.
A few moments of respite from the hard pain and suffering of enduring a vacation.
A couple quick thoughts from the last few days before I have to head out for the day:
-- Kind of sucks that FFBE is moving to be more in-line with other gacha games in terms of difficulty of obtaining chase units. I've always held the position that FFBE was unusually generous in terms of freebies compared to other gachas. Guess that's being adjusted finally by Gumi. Oh well, Most vets here have enough at this point to clear out pretty much anything and don't need the newest "shiny of the week" to clear content. On the other hand, this is a potentially confounding issue for newer players, as the lower draw rates makes it harder for these accounts to get off the starting blocks.
-- The Malboro Slayers banner is "new player bait", plain and simple. WoL is the chase shiny here for new players, but is stuck on a split gold banner "of course".
-- New trial tomorrow. There will be much shenanigans, I'm sure. I'd be highly surprised if Ribbons/Discernments/Goddess's Protections will provide full protection from the Malboro and expect it to pierce right through them (i.e. charm, stop, etc).
-- Wild Card: Soleil. "Global is a different game", in full effect. Here's the next incremental step towards Roy/Enhanced Ramza. Many potentially solid/exceptional global exclusive upgrades here, and the numbers from the datamine will be very interesting to digest. But, unless Gumi tweaks the cryst costs, she's going to be a whole another dimension of ludicrousness to upgrade. But hey, everyone has 152 T1s, 80 T2s, and 52 tech T3s laying around from farming the gems vortex and Stage 10 of the story event, right?
-- Pulls: Here's a Twist of Fate: Still slowing pulling over each day on the banner. Picked up Fire Veritas at the end of the last banner and have pulled a 9S and a Lunera in ~25ish pulls. Planning to stop if an Eve actually shows up (just because it's a free HP +30% at this point). Even more ludicrous --> my GF's account. In sub-10 pulls, 2 9S and an Olive. TotallyDisgusting.jpg, but awesome for her.

Mechanical Heart and Earth Veritas are a beautiful thing to see. He goes from 1.5k to 10.4 HP sometimes, it's nuts lol. About to finish up some LB TM's for him in Kelsus TM and my second Jack TM. Also have the skull TM to work on that gives LB per turn and MP per turn which he is in dire need of.
Quess who has 29828 currency...
Oh well I get 19 LB pots since I have enough 6* mats. Will feed those 1900 lb to DV.

I love the brief moments of respite between Mog King events where I have time to TM grind or take care of old stuff that I missed. In this case, last night I ran the Rain/Fina/Lassie challenges.
I gotta say, they were way more fun than they had any right to be. It was really cool being forced to use certain units to complete them, but it's almost entirely a TM check, to see if you've gotten enough good TMs to do it.
Still, I had more fun with those 3 missions than I have since beating Gilgamesh. The equipment is actually really nice too, especially if you're a new player. I'll admit, I did it for the tickets for the Nier banner though.
This game is just brutal with 2B and me right now. I'm up to 18 Virtuous Contract TM moogles, and no sign of 2B. To compare, I've only got about 6 moogles that have not been VC. They're really throwing this in my face.

I'm having the exact opposite proiblem - it's been throwing Beastlord TMs at me like candy, meanwhile poor 2B has seen maybe 2 moogles. And I cringe every time I see a Mechanical Heart one considered I've already maxed that - twice.
No joke, watching WoL heal himself back to full from almost dead with Mechanical Heart is boss.

That marie was a gut punch. Still the only on banner rainbow was the Olive I rerolled for... pulled marie on Orlandu, Greg on Freyvia, Delita on Olive, DKC on Aileen, and now Marie on Nier (not counting Wilhelm on guaranteed 5*)

Only Gumi gives enhancements to Marie and then puts Trance Terra on the Malboro banner.
The same Gumi that made a DKC/Luneth banner for their enhancements and now puts enhancements on a limited unit and doesn't take the chance to make it available again.

not gonna lie, the veritas and nier banners back to back and getting nothing at all to show for it has really broken my spirit. just going through the motions and doing the raid and getting my daily lapis, pulling a daily halfer (Kain, today). may just TM for a while, not that i have a lot of remaining things i need to grab.

They are beyond clueless. Some people still think they are evil business geniuses that carefully plan every single banner to extract every single cent out of the players good faith.
No, they are fucking dumbassses that sometimes get lucky with their decisions but most of the time have no idea what they are doing. This banner is even more offensive than the other one, it doesn't even make sense thematically.

So in my $500 effort to pull for 2B I pulled a Dark Fina (white whale has finally be caught) and a Wilhelm. Both were from the 5* tickets from Ex points lol.......
Guess Gumi gives me what I want months later after the units are released as this has happened with Fry, Rem,and now DF. If only Nier wasn't limited I'm sure I'd get 2B/A2 down the line lol. Well DF will enjoy the whip from the new trial this Friday. Have 2 Ribbons and one Discernment done so this should be easy.

Since we have had 3 different status ailment items/materia in game for such a long time I have no doubts that Malboro is going to have some ailments that are not stopped by them. Stop/Charm/Berserk. Maybe not all 3, maybe only 1 but it makes no sense to make a new trial, and have it instantly trivialized by things we have had since well...forever. Pretty sure Kefka was the first or 2nd banner after regular launch. Also I am sorry for your luck. I just bought a discounted itunes card on ebay, and I am going to do 3 multi pulls for a 2nd 2B....maybe. I probably shouldn't......but I probably will.

Make sure she is either 100 with innate dual wield or something that gives her DW if she isn't. 2 weapons, believe they need to be non elemental. Low attack. 700 or below works for sure. Use spear thing. Profit.

Unfortunately I don't have an older device. I'm trying with Muku's 2b right now, but it just appears to be doing normal damage? I don't get the 1 damage or the crazy damage.

I'm hoping they do this as I'd like a challenge and not just steam roll content like we've been doing. Never been more disappointed in chasing a unit but we all know to not chase rainbows yet many of us still foolishly do. I just ended up on the wrong side of the fence this time around. Good luck on the attempt at another bro.

Unfortunately it only works on older devices, sorry I should have put that in my other post I assumed you already knew that part. Older androids 4.2? or lower I think. Phone or Tablet. iphone 5s/c seem to work and older ipads work as well.

Even though Dark Fina has been power creeped hard, 2 rainbows in 2 days is still great!
Still no 9S. 200 tickets to go.
I mean, Trance Terra is nice, but the physical chainers are generally better, Soleil is strong but only after enhancements, and WoL, currently, is comparable to VoE. 9S is more valuable than either of those 4*s and is limited, and therefore a priority. The 3*s are irrelevant unless you are trying to get a Ribbon via merges.
Marie should really be the 5* on this banner.

It's pretty awesome because if EV is the only one that gets attacked and then he heals himself up your healer has a free turn. Unfortunately Tilith doesn't really have many options outside of healing lol which is why I may change to Garnet when she gets her 6* because of the GL buff to Curaja.

Aha! I knew to expect shenanigans when they didn't announce maintenance yesterday. Marlboro Killers banner is odd and terrible but what did you expect? When was the last time a ___ Killers banner was anything but nonsensical garbage? I can just picture some exec looking at the unit list and picking random stuff he's heard of without any idea of how the game works.
Very good news about A2 fixes. I hope OHC is easier to chain than Heavy Attack.

The rewards are lackluster so, just like Echidna, I'm in no rush with this one. Gumi is still trying to raise the mage meta without putting in the actual work. Just give mages chainable, dual-castable -aja spells that increase with consecutive uses Gumi. It's not rocket science. People ignore mages because their abilities cost twice as much and do 4x less damage (because they can't chain). Nice mage equip isn't going to cut it unless they make a magic equivalent of 9S's TM.

Berserk Touch: Physical damage (1.5x) to one enemy and inflict berserk (ATK +50%, auto-attack only) for 2 turns to one enemy. Targets highest ATK unit.
He does inflict Berserk, but nothing about the other two though.
Edit: Also has this Devour: Unknown effect and magic damage* (2.5x) to one enemy.
So no clue what the effect is.
It also looks like he has crazy high def/spr, and if you want to do any damage you have to kill specific smaller malboro's he summons to lower it. However it s

I'm torn if I want to try the Aigiaon fight with the 2B glitch. On one hand, it's a free and easy win, on the other I was excited to actually try to beat him with my team. On the 3rd hand, I don't have a native Fry so it might take a long ass time, and using the glitch could be big time savings.
Is it possible to get Garnet up to a high enough HP to survive long enough to build esper gauge, or is that futile? I have several 30% HP materia at this point, but they're all on other units.

Don't bother with Garnet, you will build the esper bar regardless. Only bring her if you want to use the bug and kill him in one turn.
I see it this way. If you can build a team that lasts long enough to max an esper gauge then you've mostly solved the fight already. The only difference with using the spear glitch is you're saving yourself 2-6 hours of boredom.
Somebody brought Garnet and Tidus and maxed her LB in the first turn with entrust. If you've got them you could try that.
