Looks like I will have to double dip then on PC if there is a toggle/Durante mod that can remove or reduce the motion blur and surely there will be the ability to toggle control sensitivity.

The motion-blur, at least in the PS4 version can be really nauseating at least for me. Here's two shots of it in example when I take a screenshot panning the character;

It's not too bad at times when you're casually running around but when you're in action scenes and you need to change direction depending on the enemy you're targeting, it (for me) is nauseating.

As someone who has gets motion sickness easily, I really hope this can be turned off in the PC version.

Well, it's now in the OP :p
Anyway, do I see a PC DVD logo below ?

Yes but I don't think it really matters. This announcement was made in Taiwan at MSI's Computex conference. I'm sure there'll be a retail release for Asia at least, but it'll probably just be a steam key + DVD.

Are the PC versions of XIII and XIII-2 still dogshit?

You know, comparing every single Square Enix PC port to XIII and XIII-2 Steam is a little silly. Yes, those were the most recent, but it really depends from game to game and what there was to work with.

The Last Remnant was absolute garbage on X360 but works like a dream on Steam in 2015. Unreal Engine, etc.

I wouldn't expect 60 fps on PC either. Hexadrive had the horsepower to make Type-0 60 fps on consoles aswell but the game was frame-bound so 60 fps wasn't an option. Maybe they'll make it 60 fps for PC release, but the game wasn't 30 fps on consoles due to lack of horsepower. It was more time and budget related.

MOD THAT STUPID CAMERA PLEASE!

They may have done it for you

I wonder what you'd qualify the ps3/360 versions as rofl

Impressive considering the 2005-era hardware. PC versions will inevitably have higher standards, and the fact that these ports have issues like worse rain, FMV artifacts, screwed up shadows, inconsistent performance and no controller vibration is laughable.

Point out where I compared every single Square Enix PC port to XIII and XIII-2.

And yes, The Last Remnant was indeed a good port. That was released 6 years ago.

Damn, should've held out for a PC release. Oh well, I still enjoyed it on PS4. At this point, I feel it's inevitable that FFXV is going to hit PC as well.

Looks like I'll be selling my PS4 version (put like 3-4 hours into it...then along came a little game called Bloodborne) and getting this on Steam. Unless it turns out to be a bad port.

Buried under the terrible motion blur and crazy-fast camera (while the character's in motion) is a pretty good game, at least based on what I've played.

Graphics options for high-end PCs?

lolololol

This game isn't going to be a looker unless they start fixing stuff like geometry.

wait, the XIII games are locked at 30fps? I'm not getting near this game if they do the same, fuck that.
they are not locked, the problem is that the performance is spotty causing bad stuttering on every PC I know of when u try and play at 60 FPS. When working right, FFXIII at 60 FPS is a fucking site to behold, however I had to lock it to 30 due to the performance stuttering

Add me to the list of people hoping they patch the camera for consoles as well. Bad camera can really ruin combat for me.

Better get that TitanX ready if you want to play it maxed out at 60fps lol.
Well, if it runs like XIII-2 you can through whatever you want at it and the frame-rate will still be all over the place.
Still waiting for you to fix that SE!

Just so thrilled that this is finally happening. I played about 9 hours on PSP, and really loved it, but felt frustrated with the camera controls.

How can they not patch the camera for console versions? I might just sell my copy and go play the translation on PPSSPP.
If the camera is a problem for you, the PSP version might only make it worse.

I haven't played Type-0 in awhile because I kept getting sick from the motion blur and crazy camera.

Still can't believe they haven't fixed it on consoles yet.

Hopefully they patch the console versions camera while they are at it.

I traded my copy in last week but god damn. They should still fix that mess.

Hopefully they're giving the PC version to Hexadrive too or someone like that...

Anyway, if anyone's wondering, I've been at the OT since release, here's what people usually say about the game (in case you want to know):

Fun/Varied combat.
Quality of the story is directly proportional to how much you either: a)like the Fabula Nova Crystallis or b)can ignore the last chapter.
Awful camera/motion blur (this being the most common thing that I'm pretty sure everyone mentioned at some point).
Too much stuff saved for NG+ (pretty much everything that is above level 35).
Awful voice acting (Japanese is way better).
Great soundtrack.

There are other stuff people talked about, but these were the most common commentaries on the game.

Probably shouldn't have quoted you, or quoted multiple posts - it's more of a general trend this year.

TLR was developed around the same time as XIII btw, if we're comparing engines/frameworks and not port release dates (XIII obviously existed on PC during the dev cycle)

They can.

They won't.

They won't?

They will?

As long as I can turn off motion blur and have a camera that doesn't feel like rockets are strapped to it, it'll be a improvement on the console versions.

I think the problem with the PC ports of XIII/-2 is they're ports of the 360 versions, no? Those were pretty janky as it was.

Don't quote me on this, but yeh, I'm going to assume whatever PC builds they had during dev probably had a shit ton of debug and non-shipping baggage on it, so it would easily be much safer to branch out from one of the retail releases, or something closer to it.

Crystal Tools still had some major issues though. See: FFXIV 1.0 on PC.

Nice, I was going to get the PS4 version (when I got a PS4 later this year) but PC it is then.
Still waiting on the PC version of Lightning Returns though.. spring will be over soon.

I think I'm the only one who will say this, but here's hoping my laptop can run this with everything set to low. Will definitely be interested to get it for cheap during Steam Sales in the future.
