Ground Zeroes was an amazing PC version though. It will probably launch during Steam sale opening day 40% off and it will be a bad port too (this is my bet).
For Ground Zeroes doing a similar thing worked well.
(Just saying)

Meanwhile they're patching a demo but not an actual game with actual issues...
I don't know, but FFXIII looks very good while in game, but cutscenes are from 360 version for sure, not PS3 one.
Nah, ff needs to try harder thats the problem.I need to try harder to get into FF games. I really struggle to stick with them. Yet there are plenty of other J/RPGs that I like a lot
Wut? 160K is a pretty good number. It will probably launch during Steam sale opening day 40% off and it will be a bad port too (this is my bet).

Simply because they already sold FFX/X-2 Remastered (and from what I read not too much time ago, it didn't sold well too, around 160k copies in Japan when launched), while they still need to sell FFXV so they can gather fan feedback and create a product they would buy (it's not an excuse, of course, only what is happening, very similar on what happen with betas).
Yes it is, I was referring only to the marketing tactic, not the quality of the port itself (placing it during the opening day on a sale, with a heavy discount).
To all the whiners about the camera blur:
Your eyes get used to it after a while and you don't spin the camera when you get good at playing anyway, you target things to quick turn.
I'm not saying that it wouldn't be better off without it, but the game is obviously playable. This isn't as bad as the people crying about chromatic aberration in Bloodborne, but don't pretend it's a bug or glitch.

I always liked the way the combat in this looked, but I have no idea how it actually plays. Very interested in this.
I'm curious, does anyone know how the original PSP game and the console releases did in their markets? I didn't really hear anyone talk about this when it came out, so I guess it didn't set the world on fire or anything?
Also, I'm guessing it's their own custom engine?
FFX HD sold plenty well. They don't need to be patching a demo for a game more than a year away over fixing stuff that's already done and out. Most people realize that demos are unfinished - at least I hope they do - and not representative of the final game so far out from release. The trophy, music and RNG glitches in FFX HD are really something that should be fixed.
The motion blur in Type-0 HD is another example. I personally got used to it after a while but it's clear many other people didn't and stopped playing the game because of it and that's a problem for SE because word of mouth can stunt prolonged sales.

So I bought it on PS4 for nothing...drats

It made my friend throw up. Literally.
Has never happened with any other game (she plays Mirror's Edge often, and that game has caused vertigo for a few people).
It's inexcusable. Don't excuse it.
If they improve the camera for the Steam release, I sure as heck hope that they'll patch the console version too. It's borderline unplayable there. Demanding fullprice for that POS was a sick joke.
Hopefully someone can fix that motion blur via a Mod then, quickly.

I don't doubt that there are some
Nice backpedaling.
I dunno, man. It bothered me for the first hour I played it, then my eyes adapted to looking at places on the screen that weren't blurry, and then my gameplaying improved so that I wasn't spinning the camera like a maniac, because that's not the optimal way to play anyway.
It's like going for a car ride - if you stare out the side windows at close objects you're going to get motion sickness, but you quickly learn to settle your eyes on objects that don't induce this.
I find it really hard to believe that your friend "literally threw up" when they could have looked away or stopped playing any number of times if they truly felt nauseous. There's a period of time that has to pass between the feeling of nausea and vomiting, it isn't like the TV screen was inescapable or she experienced it with a Rift strapped to her head.
I don't doubt that there are some really sensitive individuals whose eyes can't take it, but there are a lot of people who blow things way out of proportion (see: chromatic aberration in Bloodborne) where any nitpick is immediately UNPLAYABLE NEEDS A PATCH. For you, maybe, but not for hundreds of thousands of other people.
For people not throwing up, you have a fairly high chance of it becoming a total non-issue within a few hours of playing. Of course all of this means jack shit now that it's coming to PC with improvements...
You've never met anyone with motion sickness, have you?
Something like the bad blur in the camera can easily set people off. It is a very real issue and needs to be patched. Instead, Square Enix just looks to make money elsewhere.
So...will these updates (minus the graphic options of course) be patched into the console versions?
