There's no need to announce a whole bunch of games early and start hyping stuff up when there's already games planned to release.

We're looking at Gran Blu Fantasy Relink, Helldivers 2, FFVII Rebirth, Rise of Ronin in short order - adding any more would have inevitably cannibalised sales.

If there's still nothing announced from first party studios by late summer, I'll start to be a little concerned as that may lead to a gap, however at the moment there are too many good games to keep up with.

This is all Jim Ryan's doing. Sony only started doing this when he took over. I give him credit for that.

Wouldn't be surprised if Sony try and extend the exclusivity with a money hat like they did for Remake as it ticks all the boxes that will bring attention to the platform. But I hope it's not the case and PC players get a port by the end of the year.

I can see just the 1 year for PC. It’ll do most of what it should on PS5 within that time! Japan is going to contribute a lot more to it than the usual PS5 exclusive.

I think without any tweaks to the exclusivity deal then it 'should' release on PC by the end of the year. Maybe the FF16 PC port June-August and Rebirth Sept-Dec. Or something like that.

FFXVI exclusivity supposedly ended in December last year...still no PC announcement.

You really think Square-Enix is releasing FFXVI and this one from now until the end of the year?

FFVII Remake also took forever to release on PC. On paper, well over the supposed exclusivity deal.

I skipped the demo cause I knew I was going to love it.

Ff is just in my blood and it's hard for me not to be endeared to it.

Glad to hear it's getting great reviews. But I've voice my opinion many times on here about Journos and how reviews are mostly bad and pointless anyway so the numbers won't change my hype

For 16 I think it's basically 100%.

The devs have openly commented on the PC port for 16 stating it's well underway last year. So I think that's a sure bet this year. I think they're just waiting to release the final DLC and then bundle the base game with the 2 DLC for some kind of 'Ultima'te version. Similar to 15's Royal Edition. It also makes sense to time this with the PS5 Pro and make a quick but improved 60fps. Both of these things would make a splash for the game

As for Rebirth the 3 month exclusivity makes me think they want it on PC by the time the year is out. They've suggested a lot recently they want their games on more platforms. Again could be timed nicely with the PS5 Pro. I'd say a 75% chance it's out on PC this year assuming the exclusivity isn't extended.

These are just educated guesses, no insider info.

This Is what I've mainly been waiting for, disc 2. Couldn't be more pumped for a game.

What I've played of the demo it's going to be a ride. Only 5 or 6 more days to wait.
