FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 |OT| Change the Future

Debuff him. You should be able to poison him.

Yeah, he was pretty powerful but with debuffs, I was able to finish him without a death. Debuffing is just as useful in this game as it was in 13 so far.

BTW Reading the instruction manual turned up something interesting. Apparently killing mobs with feral Links increases the drop rate of the monster's crystals by the % of synchronization.

So I killed the flan and nothing really happened..it's still there. I don't get it :(

I unlocked the video where it shows them trying to punish the flan though but I didn't unlock a gate or anything

I suck at this game :(

LOL, so the AI controlled characters use their special skills now? That's hilarious.

I got that in my first battle against one. :/

They seem fine and well-balanced to me. I'm not that far yet, but perhaps the balancing is proving useful to you, yeah?

I'd advise leaving Serah's Sentinel alone for a little bit and concentrate on her Saboteur role a little bit more, though.
Yeah, although its making the game a bit easy.

I would of boosted Saboteur but I was trying to reap the bonuses from the large node for it while using Sentinel as a fodder role for the smaller nodes, which is why its so lower than the others. I might scrap that as I think I may start needing some debuffing for some enemies soon.

I've fought over 20 now. I have given up for the moment.

Makes sense--you could keep doing it that way. There might be times when it's reasonable to use -ga spells to debuff targets in a group, so it might be helpful to boost Sab a bit. It's up to you, really. :D

Have you used any Feral Links during battles against them? I heard those increase monster drops. You could also wait until you get the fragment skill for higher monster drop rate later on in the game and then go monster hunting.

I'm currently doing the clock puzzle..

The cheat works! Haha

Edit: Where the hell is the unbroken tablet? Orb of Clotho fragment, ARG

Use that link posted above. It really works. You input the numbers clockwise starting from the 12 position and hit go.

Um was the
Caius fight on the schoolhouse
suppose to be hard? My little punching monster used his buff all feral link and It was a breeze >.<.

Faced a dude in
Yaschas Massif 1X
that I probably shouldn't have and beat it. Was way tough due to not having the proper levels and paradigms, but I won. Been a while since a JRPG let me get into trouble like that.

Archlyte Steppe is just awesome. I really enjoyed wandering around there, and I thought the area had a great atmosphere.

I just got to the casino, too. Good times all around.

The SNS thing is pretty lame. All the things you can send to Facebook are preset.

The result is something like this:

FFXIII-2: Playing FFXIII-2!
www.square-enix.com
Playing FINAL FANTASY XIII-2. The current party members are: Noel, Serah, Flanitor, Chichu, Pulse Gladiator.

Awww, I was hoping for something along, "SpaceBridge and Chocobo are now friends"

Is there a monster infusion guide somewhere? I tried one Kagari posted but it's Japanese and translating it was going SLOOOOOWLY.

But can you actually have all the monsters captured at the same time or do you have to get rid of one to capture another once you get so many?

You can have one of each monster and multiple copies of chocobos of the same colour.

13 hours in on my English version playthrough... 62 fragments and already to go to
Dying World
... definitely a super easy game to replay through.

All of my loathing will be directed towards the fool who thought the clock puzzles were a good idea. I tried to work the algorithm/proof out the other day, but I felt it was rather pointless.

The site works, guys. It's just really damn tedious to do the clock puzzles in the first place. I tried the first few by hand (ie: using a piece of paper and jotting stuff down). Not worth doing it, especially since some of them are multi-stage.

Yeah, just use the site. It'll save a ton of frustration.
