I really want to do a playthrough later and see how far I can get without spending any CP, though I wager it'll be "beat the game, gg monsters" but, hey, it seems interesting. Don't know when I'll get to that, though. Plus, I still need to finish my first time through the game anyway.

So to anyone else attempting the Clock Stopper trophy, forget about doing it legit. The method described (ie: get a pre-emptive strike, then let the characters hit the enemies to boost the gauge, then select retry, and complete the process over again 100 times since you're always brought back to the Mog Clock screen) completely works! It doesn't take long, and it's way easier than doing it legitimately, so keep that in mind.

Dammit, wish I would've seen this before I spent the last two nights getting it the hard way :lol. I just hung out in that one area in Bresha Ruins where the guard tells you about the Cieth until I got all 100, all the enemies that spawned there were non aggressive (Hoplites, Cait Siths, Pulse Knights, etc). Took freaking forever though running around waiting for random battles to pop up. Finally get to move on with the story now.

I haven't played today. But there is a new patch? I have 1.02. What does it do? Just add facebook intergration? Lame, this isn't a social game. Why have such a feature? That time spent should be getting this DLC out faster.

What in the hell is up with the music in this game? Two days ago I got through the intro sequence and it didn't seem that bad. As soon as you take control of Noel I was disgusted on multiple occasions.

Small Chocobo question in Breshna,where you spot him on a yellow circle so he can jump in that big round place in the center of town with a circular chest on one of the pillars...he automaticaaly jumps on the first 3 for me,then jumps outside the circle instead of the 4th pillar where the sphere is...can I control him to go there or it's something for later on?

specific fragments unlock specific skills. For example for one of the skills you need to collect all fragments in some specific areas and time zones.

I got the PS3 version, game looks good and I'm enjoying it. I'm not sure if I like it more than XIII yet, but we'll see. I feel like the frame rate really suffers at times, is there something I can do like an install or something to help it out?

I just did hope in the second parallel timeline and went to the Valhalla ruins that you can't get through. I left the ruins after only getting the map, and now have absolutely no idea where to go. any help?

I'm only a few hours in now but the main theme i just don't get. It's like a guitar solo lounge jazz chinese/americana violin extravaganza. It may work in the context of a video game theme but I just don't get it. It doesn't fit with what's going on the screen.

I got moved too by it, I actually like this of M.Toriyama, he knows how to put some drama in those events he directs

Although I'm not his biggest fan I agree. He's really good at pulling of some dramatic moments.

This was always going to be a polarizing soundtrack though with the amount of variety it offered (especially vocal songs which some people are completely put off by..which is fair enough)

So I started my game anew yesterday only leveling the big modes on the main RAV/COM classes.

Boy, I am markedly weaker than before. I can't fight the early behemoths, got rocked by a certain someone in oeribis or whatever, and find myself relying on a SEN more often.

I hope this pays off soon, because it's brutal right now

For those that are pretty far in the game... level-wise. Is there any reason NOT to go full Strength / Magic with the Large Node bonuses for Noel / Serah? The official guide has Serah at almost Max Magic role bonuses, but Noel is littered with added Magic. Unlock Saboteur is Stage 4 for Noel... Why does the guide give Noel 104 Magic?

Because his SAB role is absolute garbage.

Got into the historia crux for the first time, the scene before going in was another emotional one, maybe a bit cheesy but emotional nonetheless (I'm sure at least perfo will agree!!!).

I think it's because SAB / SYN offer a Magic+ option and since it's every other level you can max Magic, but with Strength you can only get it by every other level of Sab... basically 150/197 ( COM + 1/2 SAb ) of the Large Nodes can possibly be Strength+

Got the NA CE and the packaging is gorgeous. I have yet to actually play the game yet because I can't seem to stop playing a certain Gundam Extreme VS game but I think this CE is one of the best in terms of content and aesthetics that I have seen in awhile.

DO NOT PLAY SLOTS. Just buy chips if you must. But really? Wait until you reach Episode 6 and gain the skill that gives everything a 25% discount (and pick up the Golden Chocobo from a treasure sphere in a certain story-mandatory late-timeline area of the game) and then just win Chocobo races over and over and over again for chips.

Finally got that stupid casino achievement. I don't think I can take chocobo racing any longer.

So apparently gold chocobo for the 600m races, Silver for races longer than that?

It was in FF13 IIRC. You basically do a Paradigm Shift at a certain moment and it'll fill the entire ATB bar for that role you shifted to.
I've had it occur to me in 13-2 as well, but I don't know exactly how it's done XP
