so is this game all about Wow-like quests or does it take off and focus more on battle driven stuff?
I kinda wish everything on the map wasn't labeled so clearly, doesn't really make questing all that........adventurous
but it is early in the game so maybe I'm wrong
everything else is cool, I'm digging the ffxi carryovers

So now that the lodestone is up I can see that names are not global. The name generator conveniently generated the same name for someone on a different world.
Considering I could see names repeat by clicking the name generator probably less than twenty-five times there was no way I was going to take a name straight out of the name generator. Granted, I think I used a generated surname though.

Seems right my first MMO launch is mostly going to involve not being able to play it.
Mine just updated, but it took it about 7 hours to change the stats and items I was wearing when I logged in this morning. And it isn't showing the right image yet.

In Western LaNoscea there are quests available in the Umbral Isles area (in the Recomendations list) but the ferry guy says is closed. What to do to reach there?

No reason to go other than STR.
If you managed to get into the game, then your character is already set. But the lodestone just takes hours to update.

I'm leaning towards 20STR/10VIT or 15VIT/15STR.
Definetly I consider extra STR more important than VIT, but I think in this case depends more of the player and how he wants the character.

I think it changed cause most places are now saying it's 15 marauder. Not sure if pug is required still or not.

I'm not sure where all of this misinformation is coming from, but you only need two classes for a job.
30 Lancer, 15 Marauder.

According to that picture that was going around earlier, you need both Pugilist and Marauder for Dragoon. Unless I'm reading it wrong.

He can fly!
I believe those are the class skills you can use for that job, not necessarily the requirements.
