I hate you people, it's never worked for me on PC and I have no idea why. It worked for me the one time I tried logging in with the PS3 version.

Clearly this is becuase of those warriors buffs, they need to be removed.

Possibly. Also the one time so far I lost my username, it was because the launcher/game was improperly shut down. So that might have something to do with it.

A quick Google search tells me it's related to Internet Explorer settings, which makes sense. The launcher itself appears just to be an IE related browser window.

Imagine if we got a more customizable limit break system. Where each player could pick what Limit Break they wanted within reason, and how it filled up?
With all the limit breaks outside of your own initial one locked behind Titan HM level content, of course. :p

I'd be up for that. My LB icon is covered in dust...lol i'm still waiting for the day when i'll be able to bust out a gigaton wall of protection.

I once popped the tank LB for amusement in a dungeon and the entire group went "What? Why?!"

Ironically, it did save our party, but so would have any of the others. Probably more effectively too. >_>;

How good is the Tank LB anyway? I've only used it once, and I wasn't able to really discern how much damage it was mitigating in the heat of battle.

I mean, in theory party-wide damage mitigation could be freaking useful, but it'd either have to have a really long duration or mitigate a ton of damage, to make it as desirable as a DPS LB.

Hey I'm at the story point where I need to do Ifrit, Garuda, and Titan (Ifrit first). Is Duty Finder good enough for this or will that be a disaster due to strat's required? I want to be ready for the fight without spoiling it.

Dunno, i've never had a reason to use it. I havent been in an "omg everyone panic" situation yet, but i'm hoping something in CT or the new dungeons will give me a reason :p

You should be able to duty find Ifrit at least...but honestly i'd try to fill your party with FC members first. Not every DF group is bad luck though, and you should end up having some more skills players popping up after the patch's DF roulette.

Level 1 version is 10% reduction for 10 seconds. Level 2 version is 20% for 15 seconds. Level 3 version is 50% for 12 seconds.

So basically only the level 3 one is consistently useful. The other mitigate too little damage for too short a time period. Even then, you'd probably be better off using the Healer Level 2 (60% HP/MP restored) or Level 3 (100% + revive) as a mitigation limit break.

Ifrit is a joke and as long as people attack the Nail you should be fine. Garuda is the only real difficult one, but even then I completed it with two people from the Duty Finder.

Look up the strats and be willing to lead without getting angry, and you should have no issues.

Story primals aren't bad. Still best to just ask in FC since you will be able to get 3 other people real fast instead of waiting for DF when not as many people are leveling though that content now, and there is no reason to redo them.

If you're a BLM or Summoner you can pug it easily right out the gate. I don't know how easy it is for other classes though(probably is)

Mmm, I hope they buff the Tank LB at some point then. The amounts mitigated look fine, but they probably need to drastically increase duration to really make it worthwhile.

Not very, especially level 1. If I remember right level 1 is only 10% less damage, so it wasn't any better than the old Rain of Death, and actually a bit worse since it doesn't last 20 seconds. I think 2 and 3 are 25% and 50% respectively.

The main problem is unless the fight is specifically designed to require the use of the tank limit break with some high damage attack, there isn't any reason not to just heal through it instead and use a dps one. Maybe we'll see it used during extreme Ifrit depending how the nail phase goes.

Yeah the tank LB is pretty meh, but at least it has it's really really really situational uses, like before you Pull the Caed in Turn 1 or before pulling Twin if you didn't use it during the previous attempt since the LB bar resets and this allows you some small mitigation while people get in place.

Depends, as a WAR I can live through a failed Nail Phase during Ifrit HM without any mitigation, but I think it'd be rough on non-tank classes even if the damage was cut down to 50%.

It's actually possible for the party to live through a one nail attack if you pop the level 3 tank limit break right now, just doesn't happen much because double melee limit breaks work as well assuming you don't have a caster dps.

That doesn't entirely surprise me, I never really got a good feel for the exact damage a Failed Nail did, so my largely random guess must've been a little off. You're right that if you have LB3 saved up, there's not much chance of failing that phase in Ifrit HM, so it's largely moot.

It might not be moot for Ifrit EM however, where the number of nails is likely to make LBing them all down impossible. If the actual damage hasn't changed much, *unlikely but maybe,* it might be easier to Tank LB3 through the Nail phase and just heal afterward.

Won't know for certain until people start running Ifrit HM, of course. Also, again, I have a hard time seeing them not increasing the damage from a failed Nail phase at least a little. I would expect at least something on par with the damage from a Failed Heart Phase on Titan HM.
 
Tank LB3 needs to be a party version of hallowed ground, maybe even AoE based meaning people need to come in for protection. Unless they design fights with a need for damage mitigation Tank LB will always be inferior to more damage or a full revive+heal, especially now that we are getting invincibility on revive.

edit: Also what is everyone going to do as soon as they get in? EM primals? Crystal tower quest line? coil and myth caps? or something else?

I think you have to go through the quest line in order to unlock stuff, so, I guess I'll be going to Vesper bay to get things rolling.

I have a question if others encountered this. This also seems to happen only in Titan HM

Im a SMN and when i command my pet to use enkindle on heart it just stops attacking unless i tell it to (even if it gets hit by titan moves it just stays there doing nothing)

All other bosses the pet keeps attacking after enkindle. Just Titan HM this happens to.

Is this some bug or glitch people are aware of? Its been happening for the last few weeks (when i noticed my pet standing idle)

Probably quests to unlock primals/ct/new HM dungeons. Assuming they are like previous attunement quests they will all be pretty short, so good to get out of the way early in case any FC runs get started.

After that, maybe check out aestheticsian while waiting for queue on a mid-level dungeon on my SMN/SCH. Very curious to see how much EXP we'll be getting now.

There'll be plenty of time for that after we've cleared all the new content.

Oh right, they're breaking the servers up into more than two groups now, I forgot about that. Hopefully it does make things a bit more stable. At the very least, if a bug pops up on one specific server, they won't have to take down everything just to fix it.

Granted, I could see it causing some short term headaches too.
