WTB easier class than BRD.

Must have solid hat selection.
Have you tried PLD? Oh wait.

Eve claims he is the best DRG he has seen/played with/knows.

Is that true galen? Is he the one?
IF YOU HAVE TO ASK, THEN YOU ALREADY KNOW THE ANSWER.

HE IS THE ONE DESTINED TO BRING BALANCE TO THE DRG.

Thermionic is about 15k raw.

Sounds like you just need a WAR popping some Battle of Thrill over there. No problem.

Yeah I've heard somebody say that about Twintania fireballs, it's just too bad the damage is split practically evenly so unless you magically get the WAR targeted, the other person is gonna die.

Not like you'll ever get to use it. Don't think SE is ever going to allow one tank raid fights ever again :p

And, good, riddance!

Seriously, between all the Second Coil turns that could be single tanked, and Titan Egi, I was worried about us Tanks losing our jobs there for awhile.

PS: CURSE YOU TITAN EGI!

I just realized our group never discussed who get Monk stuff now that our main switched to ninja.

I had to go Monk and split my sold to single tank 8 and 9 thus be in second postion for tank loot, so hopefully i get some preferential treatment there.

Monks can already break 600 DPS on striking dummies. Dragoons are free to join the 500 club.

That doesn't surprise me, figured it'd get fairly easy for them, once they neared ilvl120. (Or had enough pentamelded crafted gear.)

Was just saying that, pre-nerf DRG's could probably get there too, it's just that, Monks would be even further ahead by the time they did.

.....let me guess, this is going to be another one of those nights where we don't see the patch notes until the servers go down.

*sigh*

Just show me the new Relic models SE! Do eeeet!

Even if they look like design gods themselves have graced us with presence and all are in awe they're not worth 4 months of daily work.

Better grab some coffee and wait for the datamine.

Also, thanks to my FC, turn 8 down. Time to learn t9 and shiva ex. <3

Patch notes will be shown 3 hours after the servers go back up.
At which point we'll be down for another emergency maint due to them fucking the servers again

That doesn't happen often enough lately for posts like this to be funny.

I'm starting to feel that way and I'm only on the Novus phase. I really don't get the point of materia stacking in the Novus phase since all the stats are basically cookie-cuttered to hell and back. Adding Skill speed and acc seem so worthless when its clearly super abundant from other armor sources. I'm chalking this up to giving players a false illusion of "choice". Tempted to just save poetics for an Ironworks lance and call it a day. At least I have my Liberator for now.

Either way these patch notes need to pop. I just wanna see how much MDEF gets buffed on my DRG >.>

Funny thing is, last time they changed the base models, (the Atma Re-colors,) they at least showed illustrations (albeit tiny ones,) of what the new weapons would look like.

This time, nada, nothing! Except for the PLD sword, we haven't a clue what the new models will look like.

Skill Speed indeed isn't a good stat for Dragoons, seeing as the class has nothing to modify it's base skill speed, and that some of their abilities cost a bit much in terms of TP. Accuracy though, well, considering the high accuracy requirements for Final Coil, putting accuracy onto your weapon is legit.

My one wish for 2.45: no tophats in the EB wardrobe.

Even if they look like design gods themselves have graced us with presence and all are in awe they're not worth 4 months of daily work.

At least looking amazing would give them some lasting value without having to commit to further grind.

But Artemis Bow will probably still be some My Little Pony abomination with a useless harp. The best we can hope for there is probably a finished paint job.

Dunno man, I mean the High Calibur, or whatever they're calling it, looks quite a bit different from the Curtana. So the Bard Relic might indeed be dropping the harp.

Haven't made it past T5 so I dunno how accuracy is in the later lvls, but having done Ex primals/SyrucsTower/PvP/T1-5 I haven't needed it yet. Maybe that'll change. Everything else though seems super meh :/

I hate that cause I really like the materia system, but it seems like all the good armor can't be melded and that annoys the shit out of me.

Oh, I really wish they'd make the materia system relevent to people besides Crafters and the hardcore progression types. Not sure how they could do it though, unless they made resist materia relevant, and constantly forced people to meld resist materia in order to survive certain encounters, seems unlikely they'll take that route though.

Aaaaaaanyhow. If you're not past T5 yet, then accuracy shouldn't be too big of an issue for you. Just be warned, Shiva Extreme has the same accuracy requirements as T9, and presumably Odin Extreme will have an even higher requirement. So, while most non-Coil content doesn't requirement as much accuracy yet, it'll get there eventually.

Feel like it probably would use the hunt or something having to do with killing specific monsters. They could just be lazy and go light farming 2.0: Now with double the light requirements.

Look, man, you're the one who told me I needed to come up with a source for Mastercrafts.

This would be way easier than melding CUL and grinding out relish.

My crafting guide from earlier in this thread gets thrown back at my face. :(

I wonder how 2.45 will change things up for newbie crafters.

A change for newbie crafters?

50centincarlaughingwithfullymeldedmastercrafter.gif

By newbies, I meant new level 50s. They've already announced that they'll be assisting these type of players.

Sub-level 50s aren't even considered crafters to me. That's like Kagari, you can't consider her a crafter.

I spent like 3 million blowing up materia just to get my right side i55 gathering melded per the 2.4 guide. Crafting is way more insane than pony farming...wow. I now have to read guides on how to make money since I'm poor now.

I'm expecting Patrician's 2.0; if the stats match up with AF tho it's basically become the default BiS for chest pieces since no Artisan's equivalent and you'd save so much on melds. Unless they just do Patrician's Upgraded hands/legs/feet.

I would like to see the magical melds that required 3 million. Control+3s are so cheap now, making the Control+4 option less appealing.

WELP. I READ THAT AS CRAFTING, NOT GATHERING. MY BAD.

Gathering materia isn't that expensive either if you skip out on the tier IVs.

I thought Artisan gear would be the help but since it requires Mastercraft and Sealatans I don't even know what Yoshi is thinking other than "give them more stuff to grind".

Oh man fuck this, fuck everything about this. I don't wanna go back to having to carry all kinds if resist gear.

If they really want to make materia useful they should just revamp the whole system, and make it more like Glyphs or the VII system. The fact that current materia is just boring stats is part of what is holding it back from being really relevant, it is just a way to make crafting gear more expensive than it needs to be right now.

Actually we did when we got to Turn 13. RIP Dragon Kick...

Is that not the entire basis of the crafting system? Grind for x so you can obtain thing that allows you to grind Y in order to obtain other thing. Most of the market is a pyramid scheme of crafters selling to other crafters so they can craft stuff to sell to crafters still in the midst of the grind.

Well, 10k - 30k on some of the melds that would be 8 - 14% adds up. 3M sounds excessive but, yeah.

Crafting, though ... Command IVs just jumped in price and 8% melds for the Command Is if you go with III + I melds is still prohibitive. Competence IIs at were at 50k+ last night and like ... everything needs those as a 4th slot meld. It's still rather expensive to do basically any of the jewelry all the way through right now.

Actually we did when we got to Turn 13. RIP Dragon Kick...

I wish I rolled MNK instead of SMN just for DK.

time to gear every class
