They could make it a requirement but just massively nerf how long it takes to get it. Maybe even revamp it so it is part of the 50-60 leveling experience.

Despite not capping poetics three out of the past four weeks, I'm now out of poetics stuff to buy. It really would be nice if itemization could play out multiple ways for different playstyles and not just "here's the good stuff and a bunch of random other crap to fill space" so you could justify picking up everything.
Time to buy random crap for alt classes I don't play outside of HM Primals, based solely on what looks coolest!

How's that possible? I know the body and legs are no good, but you still have accessories, hands, feet, head, belt, and weapon.

Itemization doesn't really matter if you're not doing bleeding edge content BUT it's a fair point. It would also help if CT3 came out with Final Coil to provide additional gear that could be used.

That is the worst. I grew to be addicted to SCH the past two weeks and can't use it because of the guilt that I need light on my PLD.

The earrings are acc/skill speed so meh, the Shiva bracelet is better, and I've got a ring/choker. Weapon and duplicate ring won't be an issue until 2.5, and even continuing half-assing it I'll probably cap 2000 poetics before then so might as well buy random crap.
Making both body and legs trash was a questionable decision from a casual treadmill perspective.
Too much skill speed is always annoying (at some point 2 oGCD between GCDs stops working smoothly) and for most of the poetics stuff everythingisskillspeed, and slapping the T9 acc cap on Shiva meant paying attention to acc values regardless. It's mostly a wasted opportunity at this point.

I'm not asking for BiS or anything (and Yoship stuck the BRD body/legs in T12/T13 so I think he just hates bards), I was initially just questioning the overall itemization system in general (which seems to be a common complaint) and I guess now the distribution of good gear this tier in specific. Making the poetics pants not suck and, say, the choker bad would have added another week to the poetics grind and kept the gear split between tome and coil consistent.

You can't fully meld an NQ Chest. It's +20 Gathering, +10 Perception, +1 GP that you need in 5 slots and it's just not doable.

Just pay gold, put up on PF for a marriage, do the thing, never talk to your SO again and be another statistic in failed marriages.

It seems like it would only be awkward if you took it seriously. If you're just in it for the loot, don't invite anyone to the ceremony, ring the bell repeatedly to skip most of it, then immediately annul.
Can't you pick the non-wedding version? That's what I'm going to do.
