Speaking of, been trying to decide how to rate those fights in terms of difficulty. Torn between whether Titan or Ramah should be rated first in terms of difficulty.

Context, I'm talking in terms of persevering difficulty. A lot of these fights are difficult initially, but become super easy after the first few clears.

Leaning towards Ramah, but it's hard to say, since you can't over gear on Ramah nearly as much as you can for Titan yet

Titan is much harder than Ramuh. For the latter, you just have to understand the two sets of numbers, try it a few times with the same group and you should be fine.
For Titan, if your connection is a bit laggy, it can be hell, because you'll die/fall a lot. At least that's my experience.

Aaaaanyyhow, people are so over-geared for Titan now, that you can nearly lose half your party and still clear it. As such, individual mistakes or lag no longer automatically doom the entire party.

Conversely, one player tunneling and moving into an Orb at the wrong time, can most definitely wipe parties in Ramuh. I don't see better gear changing that anytime soon either.

Don't forget EX Primals. They can be pretty challenging sometimes.

So a few hours ago Behemoth spawned on the Cerberus Server and after the first part of the Fate was done, Safat and Maracco spawned at the same location at the same time. It was pure chaos and the server seemed to be close to dying when more and more people arrived in the area. Fight became pretty epic though although I didn't get full rewards because my group was jumping around different enemies. But seriously, what are the odds of this actually happening?

They are pretty damned good imo. I play with controller on PC (which is the same set up as PS4 when using controller) and don't have an issue tanking, healing or dealing damage.

You can get by with some stuff without a keyboard, but at some point you'll want one.

if you intend to do coil you'll likely need some way to access a voice chat program as well. Phone, tablet, PC, etc.

So I was wrong. It took less than 48h for someone to get their new relic. A little more than 24h.

Just did Garuda EX for the first time since I first beat it. Remembered most of the patterns by the end of the first wipe without an issue.

However we had a new tank and 2 other DRGs (so 3 incl me) and a BLM.

Tank seemed too focused on Garuda everytime the sisters spawned though I understand it can be difficult to get aggro when everyone piles on Chirada right away but by the end of the 3rd wipe, I'd think you would know the signs that the sisters are about to spawn and be ready to provoke -> tomahawk it.

New tank also killed spiny. Then the BLM killed the spiny then someone (don't know who) killed the spiny. Also at about 15% echo, we wiped to Garuda and Suparna's finisher. At this point, I realized that the DPS was weak.

I looked at the other DPS, not sure about the BLM since I haven't got one yet (THM is level 27) but the DRGs were not using Heavy Thrust and didn't use B4B much. (or internal release). I almost wish I had a parser up to check how much more I was doing than them.

So after wiping at 20%, we vote abandoned. I thought Garuda would be easier to pug by now but obviously not. Either that or I got unlucky.

(My own criticism towards me is that after the phase switch, I kept getting hit with Feather Rain. >_< Got better towards the end but I didn't like that I kept getting hit with it.)

I just stared playing a FFXIV not too long ago and I have A couple of questions for you all about FFXIV (ps4):

- why is the text so bloody small? I have everything set to 140% and it's still tiny. The only way I can read anything is by using the "standard HD" setting.

- is the ps4 version supposed to have a lot of stuttering? I keep noticing huge frame drops, sturters and choppiness. And this is just in the shroud areas.

I think you can adjust text size on its own. Click the gear icon under the chat window and mess around.

You can adjust the chat text size in the options, individual HUD options can be changed in the HUD layout (hit L3 I believe to resize things?)

Only thing that can't be changed is the dialogue text size sadly.

PS4 never chugs for me. Maybe because Ultros is more quiet than other servers. Even on S Ranks.

I bet you it's a network lag issue than anything else. Are you using a wireless connection? If so, then use wired. If you're still having issues, this game is known for bad routes to the servers and I don't know what to advise if on PS4 since you can't use a vpn service like WTFast or Battleping.

Thanks for the feedback guys. It's not lag (im playing on a wired connection, the game rates it "excellent connection"). it's clear game performance stutter; it's dropping frames. Yeah I've tried to adjust the HUD size and I put maximized all the text size and everything and it's still too small. Especially the dialogue text, menus, etc. Seems to me that square just brought over the PC version and forgot to adjust text size for TV distance.

This new relic i'm hearing about, does this require a Nexus or is it a stand-alone?

If its a stand-alone I might try getting it lol. I'm prob right if its just an upgrade from the Nexus right?

I remember a while ago (in first coil iirc, before SCoB was released), he raged quit after one wipe where he was the first to die.

Hard to take him seriously now whenever I see his PFs listed. He was pretty " must One shot" back then as well.

They'd have to overhaul it with a new system like receiving the bracelet in the quest (like mentioned earlier) since anything else is too easily abusable (and people who don't care may still abuse it with "EB carries" where they annul it after the wedding since people keep the stuff like the mount I believe.

So yeah, people will just have to buy them separately.
