It would be cool if they added Ozma as a boss at some point.
Stuff like LV5 Death where instant death is inflicted on every party member who's level is a multiple of 5 sounds fun to play against. Or Meteor where everyone takes a random amount of damage (up to 9999).
Although I guess those spells would be served as things that can be avoided with a long cast time.

If they don't increase poetics for hunts, I'll just do them for alexandrite and then ignore them otherwise.
I think he was hoping for the WoD gear to be good or still keeps hoping Dread will drop for him.
Seems like it. The hunt vendor now carries Unstained Mark Log's and Aelina now carries carbon twine and coat so you probably trade in the new logs for them.
New logs cost 500 a piece now, but they've doubled up seal rewards from marks.

ah the good old 2.3 hunt argument
It only boosted me to 25/75, working on a new Novus sucks. Maybe I should just finish my nexus lights on my BRD one instead of trying to push my WAR. Decisions decisions.
I actually liked hunting a lot but the since of dread over the endless grind is looming over me.
...I spent my seals on company gear not to long ago...

It doesn't look like you can craft any of the new adept stuff so maybe it's catchup gear purchased with the new crafting tomes.

Well good for them on putting a 44/22 split of crit/det on the bard chest, making it better than the crafted one and a good inbetween for the dread(or even better than it if you really want to max your dmg and are fine with a few less vit).
Good for them on recycling those hunt marks too, now everyone can do hunts instead of raiding once again, or at least that's how it was called when there was competition for raiding. Kinda wish they made it so you could trade in the old logs at least for even like 100 seals each just so they would have a purpose.
Also if they learned anything from the last time they showed items that weren't in the patch ahead of time, the Fenrir and derpface mount won't be in 2.5 since there aren't any items for them, instead they'll be in one of the next patches. If that is the case, then I fully expect derpface to be a Gold saucer reward.

Well that's annoying. So both EX battles are just for fun / clear. No reason to re-run unless you're a poke-minion collectionist / want to look like Odin?
They aren't called Extreme though. Just fun trials to do for vanity items.

I guess we can put it to rest now, Hunts are not going away. They are just being used as a catch-up mechanism in the 2nd half of raid patch cycles.
This is also my worry.

Basically it's either crafted legs or use a twine on ironworks legs and just deal with the SS till t12 drops legs....Even with the SS on them, 130 ironworks is still better than 110 HA.
Oh. Wow, then this is a huge fail of a patch because that limits re-runnable new content to CT3, new PVP mode, and dungeons (which you probably won't do much of if you gotta do CT, CT2, and CT3 a couple times + some S ranks).
I thought Odin and Gilga were EX and would give some kind of i120 or i130 accessory. Plus maybe joke/glamour weapons from Gilga.

Honestly, except for the fun I'll have today / tomorrow doing the story and trying all the new content. The only thing that will be different from last couple of months will be the hours put into hunting for the first 2 weeks to get my welfare twines and coats. None of the tank CT gear is that great, except body.

"Emperor's new" have been in the game for a while, just they've been limited to accessories till now. What they are, are invisible items that you can vanity so your character doesn't show said item.
No way, it's story related. Knowing the rest of the story fights it's going to be super easy.
Nah mystery trial is gonna be more like Cape Westwind or Ultima.
