Can't handle this hype. Re-subed. I can't wait to get home and lost track of time at the Gold Saucer.
Eh I dunno. I could go all in with seals on alexandrite now that they have poverty twine which would give me a good i110 weapon by the end of the week. Even if I cheap it and go crit/det/acc that would still be better than Shiva i115 taking into account the secondary stats right?
TBH I have no idea how secondary stats work for healers. My guess is that the stat weight on the i115 would probably be a little ahead due to WD (it has 2 WD advantage which is like 17 mind I think? which is a ton of secondaries but would depend on exactly how poverty you went, I guess)
ON THE OTHER HAND, you can always get your i110 then farm Shiva during your light grind 1.0 then decide.
Also I think they buffed FATE alex drop rates again.
After seeing the trailer for the new update that includes the Gold Saucer I decided to give the game a go. I've downloaded the trial on PS4 and I'm just waiting for the it to set up currently. If I enjoy the game in the next couple days will buy the full version, I've been itching to play a MMO recently, and with my love of FF, FF15 being so far away, and the new trailer I figured why not.
Any quick useful pointers I should know before jumping in? I noticed there quite a few servers but going from the player list on google docs a lot of people are on Ultros and that is where the official Gaf guild is too, should that be server I start on as a UK player?

I had the weekly CT quest for coats active in my quest log and had complete the WoD part of it before the update. If I finish it now by doing ST & CT, will I be able to get a twine or do I need to cancel the quest and start over? Hope that makes sense.
Thing is, if you get the Shiva weapon in this case you will have limited opportunities to use it since you probably want to be using the Novus for everything to get the light.
Where do you see this? I see one panel for XIV, one for XV.SE Pax line up has two segments dedicated to XIV.
woop

Look at the quest, it should have the updated reward on it.
I'd use it for coil though, that's what all my gear upgrades are aimed towards.

I'm from the UK and on Ultros. so I think it's okay to go on there lol.
Also pointer: once you're at level 15 and do the quest that takes you to Ul'dah, the level 15 Golden Saucer quest is gotten from there.
Just so you know how far you need to get in the trial. Can be done in a few hours or so I'd say.
well if you want to join gaf than ultros it is
UK and on Ultros you be fine honestly the server is always busy and we could do with more EU for endgame content or dungeon runs if you need help
Cheers guys, Ultros it is then. Game has finished sorting itself out, so just have to make a character now, which going by previous character creations will take a few hours.
Biggest problem is waiting for ultros' new character window to open.
I wonder what the drop rate is, I'm at 9 times right now with no card.Ugh, playing Triple Triad with these starter cards is not fun at all. Ran Garuda HM like 10 times in the hopes of getting her card, but nothing...
{I don't feel well.}[22:05]Soul attunement with the copy of the Omnilex Novus is complete!
{I don't feel well.}
Rushed the last 700 light today instead of having fun in the saucer.
Stuck at work, does the weekly CT quest give you the option to take either Carboncoat or Carbontwine or do you somehow get both?
I don't like this
I see your PLD one and raise you:
I still don't like this. Fuck glow.
It's an option to take either Carboncoat or Carbontwine.
On the first point, We still have 2.5 part 2 in late March so I'm more than sure anyone can get from Zenith to Zeta by the expansion. It's all about how much time you put into it of course but it is possible.
Thanks! And the Novus stats, should I really go for full Crit/Det?If playing actively but not all day
Atma+Animus take up about 2 weeks
Novus might take anywhere from a few days to a bit over a week depending on how lucky you get with fates and or hunts.
Nexus takes maybe a week or under if you catch good windows
Zodiac takes 1-2 weeks depending on your luck
Zeta takes ten hours.
All in all a couple of months.
Some people nolifed it hard and went from Zenith to Zodiac in 1 week but I presume that's not an option for most.
If you haven't been doing it all along at this point I can't call a relic anything but a thing-to-do-if-nothing-else.

As someone that isn't at the novus step, how does it exactly work? I want to do 31 det, 22 crit, 22 acc. Is there only so many +4's you can apply? So the melding can fail?

Im thinking of moving my character from Odin to Ultros next month. Is it worth going there if I am from Europe? My character is lvl37 MNK so far so I guess I could make a new one on there too. That would be cheeper. But then I would miss all the stuff I got from my main character. (Mostly the exlusive things and the time in it) Dont really want to start over.
each meld has a certain % to fail. First couple melds at each tier are 100% and then they get lower. Lowest is 50%
Things can be kinda slow if you play in the EU, there is activity yes but the server doesn't get more active until US primetime.
