Can anyone recommend a controller to play this with on PC? I keep burning through pads like no body's business and it's getting annoying. Yes I know mouse and keyboard master race but I learned this game on a pad so there's no going back now. It has to be approx. the same configuration as a ds3/4 controller too. Don't recommend DS4, tried it, no USB cord I can find will stay connected reliably, also tried Bluetooth dongle but latency was unacceptable. Also I've now broken the R2 trigger on two separate ds4s! Ds3 would probably be ok but is kinda pricey.

I use an Xbox One controller on PC; the offset thumbsticks may or may not be an issue for you, but I don't really have any problems swapping between PS4 and Xbone controllers.

It's a wireless controller but I just use it wired in the whole time. Thing's way better built that the Dualshocks, too.

Ten straight hours of garuda farming should be enough to drive any sane person insane.

Eh, it's 6 light per "Steady" glow apparently.
That 80 garudas. 4 hours roughly if you can get at least 3min garudas hards

I would take that happily over the current torture of dungeon atmas :<
Maybe I just have to nolife harder... time to break out the piss jars and poop socks.

Garuda is never steady, though. Just faint or gentle (both HM and EX for some reason.) So you're looking at a max of 240 Garudas.

HM with a decent group should take 2 minutes to 2 minutes 15 seconds--it's a big difference from nexus, since everyone's got 10 extra ilevels of weapon damage now and she's still the same. She just gets wreckeder.

The most surprising thing about this step to me is that they didn't couple it with an iLevel cap on HM primals, since they did it with dungeon atma dungeons.

Garuda hard is 2 lights.

No idea, I assumed it worked the same as before HM's = brights
Apparently not? Or did you guys mean it's not bright right now? If it's not bright (Steady) at the moment then whatever just do something else.

HM primals are normally faint (except like chimera/hydra).

On bonus, they are gentle.

They are never steady.

EX primals, outside of Garuda, are normally Gentle and Steady on bonus. Garuda EX is Faint/Gentle, because why not.

Even if you hit every Garuda on bonus, that's still 10 Garudas per mahatma, or 120 Garudas total.

Right then like I said, assumed Steady came from Garuda HM bonuses. So whoops and that's a bummer.

The conversation above is obviously taking place between people who did not do the vanilla light grind.

Also you are most likely correct. As HM = Brights now post patch. Completely blanked on the pre-patch light farm since lmao fuck that noise.

So for the uneducated- is the relic grind (Earlier steps) any easier now >.>

Yes,
Base items cost less sol
Atma drops more often
Alex drops more often from Fates, more ways to obtain it
Light is given in greater amounts

The untouched ones are Zodiac and above I suppose

I need start atma grind as got Zenith yesturday but distracted by racing Momo Jäger. The r-60 races are cool dodging debuff pads and even monsters

Man, these low card drop rates coupled with the fact that you have to play with these shitty one star cards until you amass 30 of them is really putting me off. I played for hours today and only have 11 cards so far, and I can't even use many of them since they're not all one stars. Just let me use my goddamn cards instead of forcing me to complete yet another pointless grind.

Do normal enemies drop cards in the world or just trials?

I just use a PS3 pad, haven't ever noticed a difference with latency. I used a USB corded one for ages but got annoyed by the cord. Actually looking to step up to the PS4 pad at some point.
I actually used this one first...

Let me tell you, it was a piece of shit.

That feeling when you meet someone who looks very similar to you.

I spent all of my seals on that Immortal Flames gear.

The smart choice would have been to use it on the ilvl 100 gear so I can get my ilvl up faster but glamour kind of gets in the way of that.

looks like the one i link is wireless

here's the wire one
Logitech Gamepad F310

this acts just like a 360 controller so plug and play but it does not have rumble if you want that

I don't really care about wireless or rumble so I'd probably go with the cheaper one if it's good build quality. As long as it doesn't break or stop working after a couple of months like the other controllers I've been using (really ds4, wtf) I'll be happy.

Triple Triad is fun but weighted down with so much bullshit from crap drops to limiting player but letting NPC spam high cards it kind of kills enjoyment.

Chocobo Racing is legit fun apart from the OP thorns (that first battle for pick ups on Tranquil Paths people leave with 50% stamina left) and is blast with a party

TT all day. or what was left of it after the raid. yup, still addicting. had to challenge some npcs lots to get a card. momodi is my best so far. others were more lucky.

i'll see if i can combine card farming with light farming. doesn't matter how long it takes. i want cards.
