I wonder if there are any gloves in the game that can be dyed gold to look like the infinity gauntlet. My crafting classes need new glamour.

Restarting rotations for new mobs, forked lighting pulling people away (biggest issue on egg because that removes them completely), holding DPS for one team or the other to play catch up. It's not big things but there is a dip in DPS that would show up much more on a parse ending at add phase then a parse ending at the 10-11 minute mark of the boss dying.

Edit: for SMN, unless you can bane the adds ( can't in either turn I believe) then SMN has to restart all their dots manually. Also in T11 one of those adds is putting his potency in half.

Looking at my learning parses, I was 350-360-ish during add phase wipes early on and 370-380 once we got used to P2 and had early wipes going into P3; I think now I sit at 400+ during adds since I don't really lose any damage here barring downtime at the start of the phase and during the transition. As for having to manually cast the DoTs, that is more of an MP drain but will be a DPS increase vs Bane use due to gaining a Fester back. Even with one set of DoTs being halved.

Granted, it's just approximations based off of totalHP of the phase and time spent in it but we were doing the ~250k damage of the phase in 130-135s so 1900-1850 raid DPS still so around a 20-30 DPS loss per person on average during the phase?

Yeah, fair points there. We need to find a clear video with a constant DPS meter being shown to see what's happening.

We've had the same issue (as have many others), though we have gotten past it a few times too. That egg is kinda hard to kill fast enough but it is definitely doable with practice. We did it without even LBing it once.

Oh, we've been saving LB the entire time lol

Maybe we should use it haha. It's only LB2 at that point.

I still want to know what was different about that one attempt where I died stupidly right when we started egg burn and we still almost decimated the egg before nerve cloud. We were only like 5-10% off and I was dead for at least half of it.

Watch this Asami: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5zS4__Zr90

DPS doesn't change much from end of add phase and end of boss. Infact it drops for a couple due to the movement from nerve gas, exactly what I was mentioning. BLM goes from 400 during add phase to 380 during final phase.

Just to refresh my memory, they didn't increase the weapon drop rate for Ramuh, correct?

I still need the axe to complete my collection.

I can watch it when I'm not at work. It won't answer my question that you quoted though :p

The rest were probably just more on the ball. We didn't record separate DPS meters to know and I can't see anything on the recorded stream.

Korra, it would be awesome if you added DPS meter to your screen & stream so I can see where we dip.

Probably not the best idea...

There's plenty of videos online and streams with DPS meters and nothing has happened to them. Our stream only normally has like 30 people watching.

I think you just don't grief or admit in game and you're fine. Out of sight out of mind. SE only cares due to the griefing. And the only person griefing the people in our static is me, and I'm on PS4 so they can't put that on me :)

I was going to watch that later. Someone or a bunch of people must have something drastically different. It was a big difference and I find it hard to believe that people were just on the ball for that one and it never looked like that again during any other attempt before or after.

Like Galensempai said, thats not a good idea. We could do a single run tonight and i can keep a close eye on the dps and see where it dips

Forked Lightning RNG might be involved at beginning when people dont feel comfortable with fight and they go across the map to release it and those 5-8 secs they are not doing anything

Yeah we know when it dips. The issue isn't where it dips, it's the overall. Take a random number, 360 to 330, sure, natural dip during that phase transition and losing 30 DPS. The issue is the fact we are only at 360 in the first place. And I want to confirm that's the case, that our overall is bad, not just the dip.

Looking at that DPS meter in the video is illuminating.

Okay, for awhile I've been kinda fantasizing about the developers introducing new stats in the expansion, just to make things more interesting. For example, reverse-determination, (Fortitude?) as a defensive stat, or similarly, altering how current stats like skill speed and parry operate.

Question is, is anything like this at all likely, or am I just torturing myself unnecessarily?

We never really got a good where we were in the first place though. When we wanted to test first phase DPS by itself, we screwed that up royally. The other issue could be that we are dipping too much once add phase starts. It's a shame we couldn't get a good parse at the end there because I think we are all definitely 100% comfortable in phase 1 so it probably would have been a better jumping off point than add phase where we really don't have it down.

You stealth edited in my thought anyway, nevermind.

Maybe you guys are allocating DPS in a less than optimal fashion that phase.

You should still doing the streaming DPS meter thing to see though.

Drama why.

I can't stream with a DPS meter. We're an official partner channel that makes money and are an official media outlet where Square Enix is a game publisher that monitors our coverage. This is something that could turn into more than a ban from the game.

I can make another account that I won't care what happens to it but can't be on the official GT channel. Just like we're not allowed to stream emulated games or unofficial mods like Project M.

I highly doubt it's a big deal. Things will click randomly, we will move on, no one will care about DPS until the next problem, repeat.

PSA: When switching to a new class at endgame, do not be surprised if your initial numbers are somehow less than ideal. There is of course a learning-up period, and it varies from player to player.

Mind you, this statement should be pretty darn obvious, but you'd be surprised how many people need to be reminded of this.

I'm more excited to make my grand ninja debut.
I'm not sure if "grand" should be the word used :3c

This is what I was referring to with my previous post.

I mean, 400+ is still your goal there then. Depending on the learning curve for NIN, probably easier to just learn the movement patterns better. Makoto sits at ~370-380 even with bad tethers and on the Sphere for DPS; most reported caster numbers I've seen for the whole fight are still 410-420+ pre-weapon.
