I mean, 400+ is still your goal there then. Depending on the learning curve for NIN, probably easier to just learn the movement patterns better. Makoto sits at ~370-380 even with bad tethers and on the Sphere for DPS; most reported caster numbers I've seen for the whole fight are still 410-420+ pre-weapon.

Well I can do 400 on garbage dungeon fights in ilvl 104 gear, gonna get it up to bis and 110 this week. I'm not really to worried. For what I'm doing BLM wise I have all the patterns memorized. For this fight I'll just do more damage overall as Nin, no reason not to just do it.

PSA: When switching to a new class at endgame, do not be surprised if your initial numbers are somehow less than ideal. There is of course a learning-up period, and it varies from player to player.

Mind you, this statement should be pretty darn obvious, but you'd be surprised how many people need to be reminded of this.

I'm not worried about Asami. Your experience <> his experience.

So I have made it up to T9 at this point, mostly through the DF.
I currently have my Ninja at ilvl109.

I also got the High Allagan Sabatons of Striking from T7 (I think?) and I am
debating whether they are better than the soldiery boots I am using.
The difference is either Critical Hit Rate or Determination.
Any opinions?

I tried T9 a handful of times and have at least the first half of the fight down.
I had no idea what was going on in later stages but was somehow managing to stay alive...

I absolutely love the fact that as a Ninja I can use Perfect Dodge one on of the dive bomb hits. That saved my life a couple of times when I wasn't topped off because the healer was busy rezzing others.

I also finally got a Ramuh EX clear. I am probably going to wait until wep drop rates are increased to farm that fight as I really do want the daggers he drops.

I am glad that all of my problems with that fight were not issues on my end. On the clear, I played exactly as I normally did without a death. I was starting to get worried I overlooked something, but it was mostly just unorganized parties.

Det >>>>>>> Crit for Ninja

Thanks!

That is what I thought as well. Especially since I can alternate between popping Kassatsu and IR for more of those delicious crits!

Man, I am really enjoying the game 10000x more now that I am taking on Coil. I really want to catch up and start practicing Final Coil through the PF by this weekend.

I am so glad that I saved up a bunch of Soldiery/Seals to help outfit my Ninja quickly.
It has definitely turned into my favorite job, although I still think I need to work on perfecting my rotation. I was so used to easy mode
bard
, but the extra challenge is fun. :)

so if i buy it now do i still have to download it in my ps3?
Yes, you need to download the game on your PS3 and start it to link your PSN account to your SquareEnix account. You can then upgrade to the PS4 version on the normal mogstation website. This will replace your PS3 licence with a PS4 licence and you get a new key to download the PS4 client from the PSN.

Finally got T10 down after a few weeks of roster shenanigans and missed days due to RL stuff. Got T11 to the add phase in the second pull and feel like we can push that quite comfortably once we learn the dance. Things are coming up Milhouse!

Yeah we had a 2% and a 0.5% (in which the OT killed me with a Heat Lightning and I was also killed by no one stacking for tether) in the few runs before the kill. Frustrating.

After some tries, we're still at golems on t9. One of The problems is that we never get the same full group, having to fill slots on PF.

I'm solo ranking and handling Nael and the golems pretty easily, I didn't die in any of our tries yesterday, but someone messes up with meteors before second set of golems or during the fight with them. This always ends up on a rage quit and we stop for the day...

I just unlocked Bard - couple of pretty basic questions. Do the songs work on randoms i.e. during FATEs or just party members?

And is the MP drain from the songs so low that MP passive restoration keeps your MP full, or is that just Mage's Ballad also restoring my MP?

Lastly, uh I just use the song then stand by people right? The one dungeon where I used it on the healer, I couldn't really notice their MP bar going up any faster than the small passive amount.

Songs only work for your party members unless it's Foe Requiem, which everyone around can benefit from. The MP tick is eventually going to deplete your mana to zero regardless of what song you're playing. I don't believe you get the benefit from Mage's, but you do get the benefit from Army's Paeon. If you're out of battle, natural MP regen is slower than the ticks from Mage's Ballad, so your MP will deplete, just much slower.

You need to be within range of party members for them to see the benefit, yes. It's a large aoe around yourself so it's usually not a problem unless you're in a large arena. The MP restoration + natural MP regen for healers/mage folks adds up pretty nicely. You can always boost the effect with Battle Voice as well.

Alright, thanks. I think outside of battle, natural MP regen is keeping up with Ballad drain, since if I have it on my MP drains to 590 and then right back to 615. Never lower than 590, though. And not sure why I didn't notice the CNJ MP rise that much, maybe some mistake on my part.

If you're unsure if they have it or not you can see the icon next to their name on the party window like any other buff.

Monitoring the party buff list is definitely important. Watching to see if a WHM has Shroud up (so they're already on buffed MP regen and might not need ballad as urgently as you'd think), or if another bard in the party has already thrown up ballad (because nothing is more annoying than starting a song, blowing Voice, and having the other bard start the same song ten seconds later), alternately watching the other bard's MP to know when to start Foe Req if you're alternating that, or to tell if stupid Mog EX has arranged it so nobody's in range of anyone and you're just wasting MP.

So, finally went into T10, only to do the trash clear mind you, but we did try punching around Imdogud once. Initial reaction, well it's fun to play metal gear solid in a battle setting, less fun when somebody deliberately triggers the alarm as they run to the launch pad, and leave you alone to deal with the horde. Also wild charge is an interesting, (if albeit easy,) mechanic to deal with, need to watch a video to refresh myself on the rest of the mechanics.

Wanna try going in there again and having an honest to goodness attempt at that boss, I'm ready for new content. XD
