Before imhoI'm not far into the story, still on chapter one. Should I watch kingsglaive before playing or is it better to watch after finishing the game?

The combat is a huge improvement from the original demo and manages to be fun enough, but it still feels like a frankstein's monster of cool animations and half baked ideas. Wish they'd either gone more traditional or fully controlled character action. It's a compromise between the two that doesn't really satisfy on either count.
You can only give them orders during fights. How do you customize the AI of Ignis, Gladio, and Prompto? Their AI is bad.

It's likely the best and less annoying AI I ever played with in a RPG.How do you customize the AI of Ignis, Gladio, and Prompto? Their AI is bad.

I can't get a handle on warp-jumping. It seems like every time I want to get to a higher position, I warp strike instead.
Man I made the mistake to travel at night. I should of listened to Ignis when he said it was best to travel in the day. I drove the car to go on a night hunt and low and behold a a Level 30 demon attacked us in the middle of the road. MInd you im still level 4 and just started up the game. He brutalized us in a few shots. But man am I digging this game.

Chapter 1 spoiler:
the side quests with the piece of a map you find leads you into the mines correct? I spent like an hour looking around the marked area outside before realizing it was probably directing me underground. Lol.
But the quest says its level 5, yet it leads me to where that level 50-something samurai boss monster is?
What I like about the open world in this game is that there is just so much to find and explore, stuff and dungeons you can otherwise miss..that give you rewards which are pretty sizeable.
You always get something nice. Unlike the "exploration" in something like Xenoblade X where exploration just means going somewhere.
Wait, what sidequest is this? I'm on chapter 3 and haven't found this yet. Where do you find it?

A few things:
Info
I thought the same, but it's outside close to one of the large rocks. You can tell the elevation by looking at the icon and seeing if there's an arrow pointing up or down.
No definitely not. I can't remember now but I think the item you need to find is in the area with the entrance to the mines.
Damn .. The whole thingwith Prompto's story is planned as a DLC makes me so bitter and sad :<
Why weren't they all included in the game, this blows, could've made the game longer too >.>
Oh dang OK. Not sure why I couldn't find the item. Ill look again.
Pretty sure you can tap it instead of holding it if you want and you'll still do combos, allowing you with that control you want for transition. The more I figure it out the more I dig it, but I agree. Holding the button for combos seems to obfuscate potential transitions (with weapon changes or button presses) more than simplify things.
I found the map piece near the parking spot in the 2nd town area after Hammerhead (starts with an L I think?)
I agree. By far the least annoying and most helpful AI I've come across in an RPG.It's likely the best and less annoying AI I ever played with in a RPG.
You don't depend on them and they can be quite helpfull with linkstrikes and stuff.
Holy shit !! I think I've lost ALL my saves...that's 20+ hours of gameplay. Wtf man...losing a save in a game like this is terrible.
Those first two slots you see were auto save slots, below those were my manual saves....I see nothing !!
Can someone explainarmiger to me? When I hit the shoulder buttons the little weapons float around me but I dint see a difference in strength of anything?
I have the save in cloud...don't think it'll do anything thoughwow, that's awful.
*goes to upload save to cloud*

You mean Movement in Green
I wonder if I can explore dungeons with Matoya's cave playing. Seriously this feature is amazing, even with the curious lack of some outstanding tracks.
I don't think they ever get good enough for you to be purely magic-based due to the cooldown on spells. Especially since the -aga spells are so resource intensive.Yeah... hopefully they get better as you unlock combat techniques for them. Since I'm going magic-based, I'll probably just Quintcast Firaga/Thundaga and blow everyone the F away. Magic is damn OP in this game.
Matoya's Cave is a great driving song too. So good....

Ch 14Was Cindy at Hammerhead? I wanted to see her older model.
Downloaded the cloud save and it works.
But it never should have disappeared in the first place, I mean there were multiple save slots and all disappeared ? Wut??
The worst part about this is that this game only uses ONE large save file for all your saves in the game. So if it gets corrupted then all your saves are gone at once no matter how many you made !! That's ridiculous.
So far my favourites for long drives, especially at sunset.
Terra's Theme - FF6
Celes Theme - FF6
A place to call home - FF9
Roses of May - FF9
