Chapter 14 is upsetting in so many ways...
Please do elaborate. I'm in serious need of getting stuff out of my chest regarding this chapter
Chapter 14 is upsetting in so many ways...
well goddamn that may have been the best ending in the series
CHAPTER 14 SPOILERS:
Am I the only one who thinks getting pasted by all the enemies in Insomnia really isn't that much fun?
Literally ran past them all.CHAPTER 14 SPOILERS:

How do I get the airship
I'll ask this super spoiler ending question now. Just want a yes or no because some ass-hole spoiled it to me.
Again ENDING spoiler.
I read that Luna dies. Will it affect my enjoyment of the ending? Yes or No?

If you've beaten the game, go clear the imperial base to the north east of hammerhead garage. You'll get the last item you need.. and you'll get a quest to go talk to Cindy
I DO however like Noctis' reaction to the events.he mad. I expected emo stuff ...but perhaps thats coming....
Haha.... I know man. The ending has an emotional impact that takes some time to set in. Haven't played any other game since FFXV.Alright I legit dropped a tear. I loved it. The wait was totally worth it for me. I can't believe after everything this team was able to do this and make a great game I'm very proud like I helped made it. That ending was brilliant I'm still shook
The linear part fixes this issue for sure and doesn't detract from the story but it feels way too short.Basically not giving a fuck about anything and back riding chocobos a moment later? XD it's a funny guy I give you that! (XD)
The open world structure collides with the storytelling unfortunately, but this we knew. Hopefully the linear part corrects this.

It doesn't really feel like a proper "trip" unless you start doing the story missions in order and plow through them.Open world to make the game feel like a road trip feels like a huge backfire to me.
The traditional world map or XII/Xenoblade style segmented areas does a much better job of making it feel like you're really traveling a world.

Well, you can't deny this is the most "Final Fantasy" a game in the franchise has felt in ages.
I'm curious how they'll approach FF7 with feedback from this game. The open world aspect in XV has its positives and negatives but I think many can agree it was a detriment to the main narrative of the game. It's still has it funs parts however, but I agree that being able to drive all around Cleigne and Duscae before you even move past Chapter 3 can take a bit of the road trip aspect of the story away.

There will be a hunt for the Zuu boss there. Is there no boss up on theVolcano? I just grabbed the Royal Arm while passing by some big bird nest.
The save button is greyed out when we are in dungeon or when we are in a combat encounter/hunt.Why is there save button greyed out... Been like that for a while now ...
I'm only 7 hours into the game. Still chapter 1.
I like the music and the characters are fun.
Still don't know what to think about the battlesystem. It's quite a mess. And the graphics can get really ugly sometimes.
And what about magic? I expected real magic spells, not this draw power and make magic shit. It's really disappointing.
Not at all for me. I dont care whatsoever if it disconnects me from the main narrative. Its a game, its not real life and it doesnt all need to fit together perfectly. In fact, i prefer the fact i can stall the main quest and faff around doing slice of life stuff, taking everything at my own pace. If they lost that aspect it would be detrimental for me.
-I can't find a reliable way of permanently locking in to a target without letting go of the lock on button. Is there a way to hard lock?
Am I doing something wrong when locking on to enemies because I just can't seem to get the hang of it, is there a technique to it? I've even gone into the options screen to check that it is in fact R1 I'm supposed to be pressing. It's like it just doesn't make any difference if I'm locked on or not.

Hold R1 to lock on, press R3 to keep it locked.
Learning to switch on the fly between soft and hard lock on helps greatly

In which control scheme?
I've heard this statement multiple times, and I don't understand how its helpful if you can't figure out how to hard lock to begin with. Can you specify how to hard lock in each control scheme for those of us who are control ignorant? The control interface/help does not specify this at all, and I played through the tutorial twice hoping to figure it out.
Absolutely agreed.Yeah, but if you've already explored that area it's like "oh cool backtracking".
I really thinking rushing through the first 9 chapters/even whole game is the best way to play. Feels more like a trip. Unlock stuff to make exploration and sidequests easier. There's a reason old FF games would usually heavily limit how much freedom you really had on the world map until the end.
Ultimately I think that open-world stuff is more fun than the slog of a main story, but I still feel like the wide freedom you get early on ruins any sense of pacing to the narrative. Not at all for me.
