Look what just arrived!

Gonna install the game momentarily. Gotta be honest, though - while the packaging and presentation was great, the actual value in the Ultimate Collector's Edition is pretty minimal. This is my first Play Arts, and I'm definitely not terribly impressed. Hell, I'd say my Figmas are just as nice.

Now to hope PSN actually has decent bandwidth for patch downloads tomorrow. This'll be my first launch for my new PS4, and all I've read is that PSN continues to wallow in its mediocrity from the PS3 days.

really really amazing ending, loved the last 3 chapters they felt like another game, the logo now makes sense and it is amazing.

Now I'm wearing the new kickass outfits and flying around with my car.

The ending was literally everything I needed, one of the best if not the best in the series.

Why isn't my UCE here though, I am sad

Both have dynamic resolution, but it drops more on Xbox One, almost 720p levels. lol

PS4 is 900p at times.

I can't be the only one who loves the summons in this game? They always feel like an event. Titan saved my ass during a tough hunt against some gazelle motherfuckers, I'd mostly beaten them so it still felt pretty earned but he polished off the last two when my team was in dire straights. There being an element of spontaneity and randomness makes their appearances feel special.

Side quests are very samey and usually result in killing stuff. Thank god the combat is outrageously good so it stays fun.

Make sure to check out the Monster Arena in Altissia. Some good stuff to be won in it.
It's also pretty easy to predict the outcome once you get a handle on how it works.

It does. Just not in dungeons (or in the middle of main missions) or while in the car or riding a chocobo.

Lite mode is the way to go.

None of them are radiant but there is two that appears randomly that doesn't really stop.

I haven't noticed anything like that at all. It's been smooth.
I have many complaints about this game, it's performance is not one of them.

Yeah, there was no livestream. There was some miscommunication over a 'live feed' which someone in the chain took to mean streaming to the internet but it was more camera feeds from inside the theatre being fed to the hall outside the cinema.

Bits and pieces of the launch are popping up on twitter/fb but I don't think there's been any start-to-end capture that I'm aware of.

The improved IQ is well worth it.

I don't know if it was a bug or whatever but, took a hunt and go nightime. Walk out of the dinner and like everything is going brighter and brighter. Then back to normal. Was thinking hunts were some sort of push over. Man I was wrong on that early on.

So yea it takes pretty much exactly 1 hour to get across the map on a single road while on foot (no sprinting)

Here is the exact time - 1:00:17. This from the northern most road. The one that goes through Lestallum.

I am also in the boat that Amazon has charged my card and has said my order is being prepared since Friday. It still has not shipped, but still says it is due tomorrow by 8 PM.

I have faith, I've had things ship late in the evening and still arrive, but my hope is waning.
