it's all up to you tbh. i stuck with it for a good 5 hours but then switched to the other mode because it was really starting to bug me.I can't decide if the high resolution mode is worth it. The choppy feeling in some areas is pretty noticeable

it doesn't bother you, it bothers some of us. it's there, people should be informed of it.
i am 15h in and loving the game. just because i see it and i dislike it doesn't preclude me from enjoying the game.
Sure, and most people wouldn't know it's there unless it was pointed out to them. Me for example, I can't even see it, but apparently it's there.
Jesus Christ mate....get on with the story...you're definitely overleveled for most of the main quests now until up to chapter 7 I guess...just my opinion based on my progress in the game.

Ive been back and forth over the first few hours. Do you notice much of an improvement in the high res mode? Ignoring the choppiness of course.
Im not sure i really notice much of a difference.

the main thing about the high res mode for me is the more noticeable shadows/ao around foliage and better texture filtering.
to be honest... if you're not that close to your screen it's not that noticeable. compared to something like watch dogs 2, which has really nasty artifacting on the OG ps4 that is absent on the pro, ffxv's lite mode is still really nice - and more importantly it's much smoother atm.

there's one that you can get from an end game dungeon and one that's included in the deluxe edition

You don't get new clothes from vendors. Weapons get stocked up depending on the vendor I think.

Lol, look in the "Gear" menu, casual clothing is there from the start. Weapon vendors are in every city and outpost from the beginning too.

yep, the dof is not good
reminds me of rise of the tomb raider's, it creates really bad aliasing and highlights
assassin's creed syndicate still has one of the nicest dof implementations in an open world game imo.

I need to go to bed but I can't stop playing. Just had to stop the Regalia to let a herd of Garula cross the road. I'm loving all the little details like that, inconsequential stuff that's simply there to make Eos feel like a living, breathing world.

I'm pretty sure costume DLC is coming. The fact that there are hardly any alternate costumes in the game is proof that they plan to get rich with costume DLC. XD

Down under the 1.02 patch is 9.2gig. Must be something to do with EU's additional languages.

I called earlier and got some bs about how it releases tomorrow and cannot be shipped until then. Got the same crap with Worlds of Final Fantasy. Ended up getting it 2 days late.
