Well after 10 hours I can say that this isn't the Final Fantasy I wanted, but it is a game that love.

Not sure how to explain it, but its what it is.

It's great to see
her commentaries about the bros, and having someone who's always healing Noctis is really helpful

I really liked the ending but it's definitely lacking the punch it should have because it doesn't build enough to make it resonate as much. The last fight itself was pretty lame especially compared to the fight just before it. There was also a lot of missed opportunities with Chapter 14 in general. Actually, that's the game in general.

That said, the game was pretty fun and there's a lot to like. I'm hoping the DLC is substantial and adds to the story but if that happens, I'd be kinda salty about it.

Just had a summon against the boss when looking for Mythril. One hit killed him and I'm not even overleved. I like the idea of random summons, but I just ruined what looked like a potentially fun fight.

Why didn't you skip the summon? You actually have to allow them to act.

Not to spoil too much for me, but what are the general levels of the enemies in the final chapter?

Also, does the game have any open activities post-
Chapter 8? I heard this was the last chapter that had freedom for the core content on the main island and you were put on rails again.

Also, where is Carbuncle? I have put 40 hours into the game and never once seen this dude.

This is pretty much a single player mmorpg. Getting kinda bored of the fetch quest. Might just do all story quest now:/

I can't seem to figure out how to equip Noctis's friends new weapons. I have a few greatswords but Gladio only allows me to equip his same starting weapon.

This might be a dumb question but can anybody tell me how to load your checkpoint if you die in a dungeon? I just spend about an hour running a dungeon just to die to a boss, when it asked me to load my latest save I'm right at the beginning again...I'm not sure how i want to feel right now, but its getting closer to being angry.

Has anyone encountered the glitch where the camera stays super close to the character? I'm at the
lighthouse area
and the camera sticks super close to the character. You have to go into combat for it to go back to normal. Maybe it's just glitched in that area?

I wanna say 40s but I would have to relook to be sure.

It does, you'll be able to go back to the open world at any time, and after beating the game you can load back up the save and there's even more to do in it.

Tutorial, I never saw him again.

Serious question - What's the best way to deal with the soldiers who show up at the worst time via the dropship? The bulletproof equipment doesn't seem to help nearly enough, and it takes forever to kill the armored guys. What's the best way to take them out?

Interesting thing I found out about carbuncle. It only comes to aid when you're playing on easy mode. I never saw him in the entirety of my play through. Was at a friend's house watching them play, they're on easy mode, and sure enough he pops up when the party is critically injured.

When navigating the gear menu did you make sure to select the primary weapon slot? You should be able to pick and choose which greatsword he could wield from there from the righthand window.

Also the option may not be available mid-combat... though I've never tried it myself so can't be sure.

I'm still fairly early... but there's still more costumes to get later in the game.... right????

And I really hope they put the Bahumut jacket for Noctis on PSN really soon. I'd buy $10 for it. Or make it a Season Pass Bonus so people could buy the Season Pass.

Save and reload. I had the same issue around there.

I just got my first two Royal Arms weapons! Exciting stuff. And Cor is cool. That electric spider was something else, and I used a lot of my hi-potions.

But one thing I don't understand is, how am I supposed to upgrade my weapons that has a yellow plus sign? I tried going to the vendor where I can buy new weapons but there's no option for upgrading..

talk to cid, he'll give you side quests detailing what you will need to upgrade weapons.

Does anyone know where I can find Whitestone Shard? It's an item for my car. I only have 1, I want 3 for my paint job I want but dunno where I got my first one to get more. There are so many items in this game it's really hard to keep track of them all.

Yup. Same area too. Specifically the rest area
Gladdy had me stop at to appease Iris.
I saved and reloaded to fix it, but combat might have been quicker.

Use magic on them like a second or two after they land. Try not to do it like literally right when they touch the ground though, because when I did that, the game crashed lol

Not quite sure I understand. You're asking how to save in a dungeon? If so, you can't. There's no checkpoints as far as I know either. You either clear the dungeon, or use the Map option to quickly get out through the option that teleports you back to the entrance. So if your last save was right before you entered the dungeon, then that would be the latest file you could load up.

What just happened? Ardyn swooped in with his big reveal (hilarious that nobody even recognized him or his name), had us get in his imperial ship, and then... just let us free in the chocobo forest, I guess? Why would he do this? I figured he was capturing us. Is this explained?
