When Gladio puts on ass-tight short-shorts and leans over the Regalia to soap it down, then we can start using the "Everyone is sexualized!" argument. Until then, it simply isn't true.

Here's to hoping for swimsuit costume DLC, though the difference between Serah and Noel's DLC costumes makes me think that we probably never will.
I don't think those things would make the male cast more sexualized. As is, Gladio's physique, voice, attitude and dress are already things of adoration for the target audiences of such a thing. Guys in here are admiring, my wife made some comments etc. Putting him in short shorts and soaping up I don't think is a wide enough fetish for folks who may be into this rugged dude, tbh.

A better look at
Nyx Ulric
's blades.

I can't seem to be able to hand the items Cid needs to upgrade my weapons. I have the items and the weapons unequipped. So what else do I need to do? He just keeps saying "brace yourselfs for power" over and over everytime I try to talk to him.

I was only able to upgrade a weapon from him once or twice and that was at the beginning of the game

Wait is Gladio supposed to be rugged? Joel from TLoU is rugged, Gladio is just as pretty as the others.

I have a late game question but no spoilers beyond a yes or no please. I'm still chapter 3.

When you are Old Noctis, if you travel back in time, do you appear as young Noctis again?

One good thing I'll say, I'm yet to notice any technical problems playing in high res mode, including the infamous frame pacing whatever that is

He's probably already in the process of upgrading a weapon for you then, you can only do one at a time. Do 3 hunts or sidequests, sleep and then he'll call you and say your weapon is ready.

The first couple of weapon upgrades have no upgrade time, the rest do

Christ. I thought I would do all of these (only on Fociaugh now), but that just sounds like an incredibly unfun slog. Do you know how much worse Crestholm and Costlemark are?
I don't know about Crestholm, which makes me kinda scared. Castlemark, you're not allowed any items.

Is there a better pro patch coming in the next few weeks? I thought I read that and I'm waiting on buying the game for that.

The more I think about it, the more I'm annoyed that everything people harp on Dragon Age: Inquisition for they give this game a pass with - 8 billion MMO fetch quests, wide open spaces with nothing in them, no incentive to move the plot forwards, lame villains. At least DAI's story is actually halfway good. Hell I think I like DAI's world better because it's at least more varied than grass, grass, bush, truck stop, grass, grass, water, grass. Emprise du Lion and Emerald Graves ftw.

Good lord the
Regalia Type-F
controls like something out of a NES game.
Trying to land it on this small piece of road for the secret dungeon is the hardest thing I've done in this game, and my only source of Game Overs
.

Is there some kind of trick to Coeruls? They are kicking my ass. And Im 35, they are 34.

Im a vet so I know they have signature auto kill moves but it doesnt seem to work with how chaotic these battles are.

It's no Witcher 3 in terms of sidequests, that's for sure.

It's a little better than DA Inquisition or MMO fetch quests.

I greatly enjoy the production, faces and animations are great, being able to listen to superior OSTs while driving was a genius move.

Yo, that "Mind the trap" is terrible. Level 10 my ass. These two electric wire mustaches ats kick my ass and I'm roughly their level. Killing the whole team with one attack.

Okay gaf into chapter 13 I go. I wanna see what all the fuss is about!

Almost been in tears in the last few chapters. Yet at the same time I am apalled by how the game has cratered in general quality since chapter 8/9.

They're one of the toughest monster types in the game. Gotta exploit their weakness preferably with magic until you can face them head on.

Man, some of these side-quests boggle the mind in how they were even able to make it into the game.

I'm on Chapter 3 and I have a fair amount of side quests that are "go to this area, find item(s) in blue circle." I had one where I had to disarm some traps and to be honest, it straight up reminded me of a pixel hunt out of Metroid Other M, and that is not a good thing. I have three other leathered-up, slack-jawed idiots with me and I should be able to order them to find stuff on their own in these kinds of situations. For God's sake, even Persona 3 did something like that in its dungeons and that game came out almost 10 years ago. It's not fun to spend time looking combing the map for traps/frogs/etc when you are likely to get completely wrecked at night time regardless.

And I am already in a bad mood due to load screen-inception when trying to manage the fast travel system, cars, and the fact that I don't have a solution to night-time travel outside of Chocobos.

It's like the team were so isolated in trying to complete this game that they didn't even try to play other open world games to see what they did right/wrong, or to see what QoL progress the genre has made.

The story was focused on Noctis so it makes sense to feel emotional there if you are attached to his character. Luna though.... lol :p

Yeah, that's why the emotion in this game works so well for me, too. The leads are so well written and I can really relate.

Yeah, I'm really attached to Noct and Prompto specifically.

Chapter 9
Luna tho... At least the CGI was beautiful lol

Chapter 8, 32 hours, lv 50. In doing two more side quests (there are areas that I haven't explored yet that have question marks) and I will focus entirely on the story.

Yes I know but it has been 2-3 real life days since the last upgrade and I have done at least 20 hunts and god knows how many other quests in the meantime :\

So my game just got caught in a weird loop. Driving to the Disc and it asked if Prompto wanted to take a picture. I said sure, and Ignis started making my car turn around. Only instead of turning the car around he turned it directly into the guard rail, where it sticks without giving me manual controls, then resets.

I've been trying to upload a video, but it isn't working for some reason. I'll add one when I get it to work.

yall need to check your online storage and make sure your game is saving to it

Had to restore the ps4 and this game did not save ANY of my shit at all. Uncharted 4 showed up, Dark Soul 3 showed up, and fucking titanfall 2's SP data came up but not this. I was only 6ish hours and on chapter 2 so it's not THAT bad but still that alongside having to do redo the install on the main screen 3 times because it wasn't making any progress has been annoying

The combat has been slick but holy shit is this game just a big ass techincal mess. Everything about this project is a mess.

Level 41 and I've only parked at Lestallum still LOL. So easy to overlevel in this game. The worst part is, once you're overleveled, you feel like taking on the more challenging stuff. For instance, now I feel like actually completing the first optional dungeon... then perhaps I'll continue Chapter 3.

Side note, though: The lock-on is THE WORST I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN ANY GAME EVER. No hyperbole!!!! What the fuck is this shit? It needs to be patched immediately. It's so unreliable it's insane. I can't imagine how much better fights would be with an actual properly-functioning lock-on. It's even more unbearable due to the fact that the game throws 15+ enemies at you very, very frequently. And yes, I know pressing R1 then R3 is the supposed "hard lock-on." Still crap.
