Possibly a silly question as I don't know how anyone would have the answer to this, but here it goes.

Does anyone know how much of the game is available to play while it's still downloading?

Go into the options menu, down to "resolution" and change it to "Light".

The frame pacing is broken atm on the high res mode, which is the default. We're all hoping they fix it with the proper ps4 pro patch in December.

Framepacing problems.

There was a thread about it a while ago. I guess it's still not fixed

It's apparently off on lite mode as well, just not as severe

It doesn't really seem better on lite mode...

More I think about it. the more I'm looking forward to playing a FF Game again.

Don't get me wrong, I love Witcher 3. But having a non-gory, good ole Square RPG that I can sit down and enjoy will be welcome.

It felt much better to me on the lite mode..(I didn't see issues like the ones he showed in that video in lite mode in the tutorial area). Once I got to the first city I changed to that mode and kept it there the rest of the game. I want to go back and do more side stuff since I finished the game, but I'm going to wait for the December patch before I do and hopefully high res mode will feel better then.

Honestly I think I preferred Duscae's combat with weapon switching automatically and being able to pick techniques over what the final game does. Maybe once I get a better feel for combat that opinion will change.

Having not played it yet, since I won't have time till beginning of December.

Is Frampacing a issue on og ps4 or only pro on hq mode?

And also is it not possible to buy season pass without having digital edition? Last freaking thing I want to buy for this game.

If i remember correct, nothing really. You can fight some Monsters in the same area as the end of the platinum demo with a Timer in the top left that shows how long till it's fully downloaded/installed

A little over one hour until this unlocks on east coast! Just finished watching brotherhood, saw the movie. Body and mind is ready to roll with the bros!

It works better here since enemies have specific weapon weaknesses now.


Btw red +arrow up means it's their weakness right?

They added an 8GB day-1 patch, but the entire reason they delayed the game was so that the version that ships on the disc is fully playable - it includes what would normally have been in a day-1 patch, so it makes this more like a "month later" patch. So yeah, you can play the game as-is, you'll just be missing a few small bug fixes and improvements.

How do you get more music for the Regalia? Haven't seen any option to and so far just have the I, VII ands XIII soundtracks.

Downloading the patch currently. Should be done by the time the game unlocks. Finally, after all these damn years of waiting I get to play FF13 Versus...I mean FFXV ;-)

Kinda wish the OT title would've went with Bros before...Chocobos. Have fun everybody!

Played about 3 hours so far. Just messed about doing side quests trying to get a feel for the game, so far that hasn't happened. Preferred the depiction of the world in Brotherhood and Kingsglave but it still extremely early on and I felt similar to The Witcher 3 before that sunk its claws in, however I have started to warm to the combat already. Can't decide if I prefer Japanese or English VA. Japanese sounds miles better (
holy shit the journalists voice acting in English is dire, why would anyone cast that voice to that face
) but I like the convenience of not reading specially when its late. Think its going to have to be Japanese VA though.

So I'm guessing there's not a way to download the early if you bought it physically? I'm getting the game in the mail tomorrow and was hoping to play it when I get back in the evening, but on my connection a 9GB patch will take a few hours.
