Absolutely. I love model viewers and would be thrilled with a bestiary!
I think Lite Mode looks on par with OG PS4, or maybe a little bit better. HQ looks quite a lot better, though. Better texture filtering, better draw distance, better picture quality...
Well, the scene does very clearly show you Luna healing people, so I don't know what's so confusing about it..

Ah ok, gotcha. I hate that the 'death' point is so sporadic; it seems like some bosses can take you to insta-death point whenever they damn well feel like it.
Okay, wtf. I'm doing the Pilgrimage mission (lvl 16) and all my guys are level 20, but I don't see how the hell I'm supposed to beat that stupid machine. Almost all of its attacks can one shot my guys, even after I've broken its parts. I can't even focus on attacking its legs because then I can't watch out for its random spread shots that also kill me in one hit. What am I missing?
Magitek troops killing this game for me.. I can't fight them despite being a level or two above them. If I attempt to fight, my team gets wiped in under a minute. I'm on chapter 3, lvl 17, troops are level 16, still get slaughtered. The most annoying thing is they always show up during side quests or building monsters etc...
They always telegraph.
Of course if you're inside and the camera is spazzimg out or a tree is in your way it won't mean much, but for the most part you can read everything you need to avoid damage.

Magic absolutely decimates Magtek Troops in my experience. Never had any issues with them.

The story scenes in chapters 10-12 are really really well done. So it's kind of a shame that it was all allocated to the last third.

I'm about 4 hours in. And I agree with this.
Note at the start of the game: don't drive at night. Really, don't drive at night, this game goes out of its way to punish you for it.
So far I like the skeleton that this game has. I'm not sure if I'll like the rest though. The combat is a bit janky but I still like it. I'm not sure exactly how I'm generating AP but I am. While I like that they have hunts so far and random stuff to find in the land I don't like how big the land is. It's sort of like MGSV but not in a good way. I LOOOOVED in MGSV finding every last resource and guy to extract. Not so much in XV so far. The quests so far are just "go get this" and I'm leaning towards starting to skip more but the completionist in me says GO! I'm wondering if after playing some games with larger quests lines it's making me just want more. Music so far is great, despite me checking my phone while driving to new places I enjoy the small touch of listening to older soundtracks. The
fall of Insomnia cut scene left a lot to be desired.

That's possible too. But I agree with you that the story of the game and it's world is very poorly told. I don't think, however that the story of Noctis and his friends is badly told, because that something that lives and breathes through the gameplay over the different chapters, and I think they nailed that with a perfect ending too. That's just my opinion.

I also love the game. It has plenty of issues, and the change of directors and maybe plot points clearly made the narrative suffer. But my God, this game completely restored my faith in the franchise. It is definitely a step in the right direction if they can polish their scenario writting for the next installment.

They almost convinced me not to play XIII but when I finally got it for like 20euros I enjoyed it (not extremely, but the positives definitely outweighted the negatives to me) so you know. Every new game is the worst game.

Chapter 9 Spoilers.
One of my favorite moments in the entire Final Fantasy franchise is when Luna helps Noctis to absorb the powers of the Lucian Kings. The instant when the music switches to Apocalypsis Noctis is truly a high point in Final Fantasy in general. I don't recall feeling that much hype, that much power in my hands during ANY point of XII or XIII.
I understand many people didn't like the Leviathan setpiece, but that particular moment, that moment when the music changes. Holy shit dudes... Really, holy godamn.
Give the scene a watch again on Youtube or whatever, and listen with volume up. Tell me if that particular part of the scene doesn't give you goosebumps.
