I messed up in ch3 and need help! Lol

I am doing the story dungeon for the third royal arm and in the beginning stages of the dungeon, I was sliding down the icy hill and missed some of the treasures. Can I get those again later?

Anyone knows where to find the Tenebrae ingredients for the Coctita sidequest? It doesn't appear on the map and it doesn't say what she needs lol

Yes you can. There's paths that lead to them.

You can get the ingredient from the carrot dude in Caem.

C13 is fine. It actually has great atmosphere, some interesting character interactions, and ends on a very high note.

It simply goes on for too long.

Hint: to make life easier against a certain enemy you need to hide from,
use Moogle Plushies to distract them while you run outside of their encounter radius.
Thanks!

Luna needs a lot of work after the hype they made us go through. You can't even go to house Fleuret or explore Tenebrae cause she's dead by the time you get there and everything is a mess. I swear to god I read she would join and fight with us. They likely changed her to a last min plot device. Keystone around XV my arse.

I would have loved to see some quests with we as a party member, perhaps this will be possible in the future (I'd even take it as dlc).

For the short term though, a few cutscenes to let us get to know her more and see her relationship with Noctis in more detail would suffice for the benefit of the story we got in the final game.

Ok, soooo I'm in Chapter 6, and so far I've learned that Noctis is.....

a cat guy

likes sleeping in and appreciates a good nap

would rather be playing video games

is sweet and funny to his friends

and kinda cute

I'll always have a soft spot for Cloud, but Noct is totes adorns and normal and I love him. Honestly did not expect that I would.

Giving us more Ravus and Luna cutscenes + maybe an additional Luna episode could help rectify some of this. Not all but some. I hate talking like that, though, it sounds so lazy but I understand they were rushed with only two years or so. Doesn't help that Tabata wasn't exactly honest himself. I still enjoyed what few scenes she has though.

I made it to the dreaded Chapter 13. And the start of it was just kinda... baffling to say the least.

"Ardyn has stripped Noctis of his weapons!" I am sorry game, what in the fuck? Could he always do this? When did he... why would he... Like, they had a pretty entertaining cutscene with him literally two minutes ago! Ardyn is totally the type of guy who would have at least dropped a hint about this! Something, anything like "well, Prompto is in the Imperial fortress, but I wonder how you're going to make it without weapons, gotta go later." Did someone just forget to actually show the audience that Ardyn has this power?

I mean
she is important to the plot, but that's literally all she is as you said. It's funny that Tabata said before that she wouldn't need saving. Wonder if he maniacally laughing internally when saying that considering...

This is not spoiler tagged either......

GUYS FOR FUCK SAKE, be more careful with your spoilers. 3 spoilers were posted in the open in the past two pages.

HOW?

This happens in every OT as time goes on. It's difficult to manage it.

I'd strongly suggest leaving the OT until you complete the game.

Chapter 14 spoilers:
Lol at Prompto saying "I totally get where you are coming from, dude," if you attempt to choose a picture of Aranea.

Keep on playing. The reason will be shown later in the chapter.

She doesn't need saving though. She is held as a political pawn, but that doesn't make her a damsel.

Noctis doesn't come to save her, but to aid her. While she doesn't have story, she didn't ever feel like she needed rescuing to me.

How is everyone keeping their party alive? Anytime I battle one of those big daemons at night, Gladio is the only member that can survive. Do you guys just keep popping potions? That gets expensive.

Time to bail and play.

Some people just don't give a fuck. Always happens in OTs.

lmao I NEED this pic on my Prompto collection.

Honestly I'm not that pissed. I didn't read the third spoiler, the second was minor and the first one I had a suspicion of anyway. Although I find it incredible how some posters just aren't careful.

I'll stay , because discussing the game while I play is what keeps me going with most if not all games. It just makes it more fun.

It's not ardyn, it's science!

Time techs to avoid the big attacks is how I do it. I use Starshell on Prompto which is one bar so it can be used often.

Aside from that, Regroup and potions. Although I have recently fallen in love with Overwhelm...

That is exactly why I am disappointed. Very very disappointed that all we got were lies. No strong female that really can fight back... only to save her beloved. I appreciated her blasting Leviathan but I kept shouting at the screen screaming FIGHT BACK LUNA. Then she's passed after Ardyn stabs her in the stomach. Oh, such a strong female. Doesn't fear death as long as Noctis can fulfill his calling. Meh, it was highly unexpected but I guess she's there in the ending. That's something, right? Nah

Well, those things are high level so be sure you're ready for them.

Otherwise use Ignis' Regroup technique and buff people like Prompto with accessories that increase his HP, like titanium bangles.

I have both Tek shields on Prompto. The ones that give both vitality and HP boosts. It's really helped his survivability.

No I meant that as
she really doesn't need saving because you CAN'T save her no matter what. So Tabata wasn't lying about that at all lmao.

Do you buy those or find them? I don't think I have one yet, as of Chapter 6. Prompto needs all the help he can get, he's so squishy.

You get the
Magitek Shield
post-game after beating
Formouth Garrison
. This increases both vitality and HP significantly.

The other is the
Tempered Shield
which does he same but moderately. I can't recall where I found this, but I'd imagine it's Empire related.

Tempered was found in the room before going up elevator to fight Ardyn.

At the game Luna looks like just a normal girl who can talk with gods. How do you expected to her fight back?

And the thing about Noctis,
it's not only because she loves him or something like that. The thing is that she knows that he is the only one who can save the world.

But I agree that
Luna
needed more screen time. way more

How does Umbra work in this? Is it like rolling back a save? Or is it just a gameplay contrivance to get back to the main hubs?

Just tried to do
Costlemark tower
at level 49. Burned thru about 50 hi-potions and 50potions 5-6 Phoenix downs, and killed about 3 red giants before I said fuck the puzzle and dipped. Prolly spent about 1 1/2 hours X____X

Banked in 100k exp tho and went straight to 54

It is kind of expected after we got this thing they call a story, no? I mean sure the game wasn't in development for 10 years but they had an awful lot of time to complete it. I don't want to be rude or anything but the story is a mess. I like the game.... it surpassed a lot of my expectations in gameplay and choices in battle but the story SE marketed was all they
ever had. Every single thing in the trailers is in the game except a few scenes.
Don't you think it is quite worrying that this is a
very short experience in story?

The game barely existed before 2012-2013 so it really only had 3-4 years of development and there wasn't really any concrete story or much of anything before Tabata took over. It was a skeleton crew that barely had a quarter of what they wanted to do if that and that's when it was still apart of the XIII games.

So they had 3-4 years to create this game while trying to rework everything from Versus XIII into its own thing.

That's not to say the incoherent story is excusable but they did not have 10 years to work on any part of this game.

Yes, good sir. Nothing in this game is missable. They did a great job with this aspect.

That is honestly a life saver. Most games are really quick to punish a player for this kind of stuff (hence my concern) but knowing I can go back and forth is really good stuff.

I never felt the story was incoherent. Poorly narrated, definitely, but I could understand pretty much everything that was going on with no problems.

Incoherent story is something like what Kingdom Hearts has become. Now that's just an incoherent mess just for the sake of being incoherent. And this comes from a massive KH fan who cannot wait until the Xehanort saga is over so they can get over the silly plot baggage.

Apparently at least one thing is missable which I learned last night reading the guide after going through an optional dungeon:
One of the postgame dungeons behind the locked doors apparently becomes unaccessable if you don't open the path/shortcut to it while fighting the boss of an optional dungeon, because you have to warp strike to get to the scaffolding where it's located and after the battle you can no longer warp strike. Also the boss can destroy the scaffolding anyway. I guess that could be fixed if the boss respawns whenever you re-enter the dungeon but I don't know if that happens

Guys, came across a gamebreaking bug after 60h of play, wondering if anyone encountered the same issue and found a solution :

After finishing the game,
I tried to return to past Lucis using Umbra but then I got a black screen and basically nothing else. I can still hear the music but nothing appears on screen and no loading occurs. I can travel back to Altissia though but when I try to travel back to Lucis from there the same black screen appears again.

Tried many things already: install/uninstall game, load past save,
using umbra in a different safe place
. Nothing seems to work. Contacted SE's Technical Support on the matter but no answer yet.

I mean, I love the game and you already know I like the story, but it's pretty undeniable that there are parts missing which is what I mean by incoherent, the whole Ravus thing is a prime example, but I'm glad it's something they mean to address in patches and I really hope said patches add more substantial changes throughout the game story wise because it's really the only thing keeping me from loving it 100%. The story itself isn't bad at all, just really poorly told
