Finally saw Fantastic Four

Even after all the bad press, I went and saw it. AND LIKED IT. I think a sequel will do quite well now that the origins are out of the way.

Here's my 2 cents:

The Thing -looks alot better on the screen than in pics, but he still didn't look "hard" enough to me. I hope they tone down the orange a little bit and make his brow stick out more.

Dr. Doom- Looks better than in the comic. There. I said it. But they should have givin him a more metallic voice IMO,and remove the ears off the mask. Oh, and LOL at his round metal package. How does he pee? :lol

Mr .Fantastics' CG sucked.

AND FOR GODS SAKE FIX THOSE COSTUMES. You're not supposed to see man bulge on super heroes. If Spider-man had man bulge in the comics,it'd be darn near pornographic with all the weird positions he's in.

All in all I give it a B- . Good movie with alot of little problems. I found myself trying not to look at all the penis- and I'm straight.:0

It was a decent movie, it just didn't have all that much action. If they make the second movie with more action, then it'll start pulling in some more fans.

Weird, I did the same thing today. Finally got around to seeing the damn thing...and I pretty much hated it. I just found the whole movie boring and predictable, it really made me appreciate Batman Begins and the Spider-Man series so much more.

Ben choosing to stay as The Thing...what kind of bullshit is that?! I understand he wanted to help. But for him to just decide to go back to looking like that, I just didn't "buy it."

The costumes were lame, the effects were shitty, and the story was predictable...even for a film based on a comic. The only things I enjoyed was seeing Stan Lee, and looking at Jessica Alba. Fantastic Four was easily the worst film I've seen this summer. Which honestly isn't saying too much since I've stuck to the good stuff (Batman Begins, War of the Worlds, Wedding Crashers, and yes even The Island was better).

I saw it Tuesday, was a fair bit better than I thought.

The deciding to be the Thing at the end was crap though. It should have merely been a temporary fix, where he just started reverting back after a few minutes. I mean, you needed Dooms power to get him to revert, you should need his power to create the storm again anyway.

Human Torch is a douche bag, but I hear he's like that in the comics anyway?

Dooms "Oh well, I'll be evil now" stance was also lame. By this storyline, you'd think he would become an icon to get his finances back.

I wondering a few weeks ago after seeing the movie if Venom is in the next spiderman for there to be a chance that Mr. Fantastic will have a cameo... (I haven't seen that Spidey 3 spoilers thread so plz. don't spoil)...

Caught this tonight. The CG for the stretchy hands was not that great (texturing was WEAK). However the fire and... whatever that stuff was that Sue Storm did (and the transparency) was awesome. As was Dr. Doom. But the stretch effect was clearly rushed or just never had that much care put into it. It looked like CG from a PS2 or XBox opening vid for some cheesy game. :p

The story was kind of... um, hollow, even if easy to follow and well enough to justify the movie's main purpose: high entertainment value. And that's exactly what it delivered, and it was clear that's what it intended to deliver from the start. So I can't hold it's semi-weak story against it. I think of the movie as a really long comic book.

If you want more of a story and/or character development in a superhero movie, X-Men, Spiderman, Batman Begins, and The Punisher are better.

I give it a 7/10. :p

Dr. Doom: Let's not fight.

The Invisible Woman: No, let's.

temp: I'll wait for the DVD.

Different studios. No chance whatsoever.

yeah I know one is Sony the other is Fox, but darn it if it wouldn't be cool and lend some legitimacy to the whole comic book movie wave that's going to for there to be some continuity...

one major difference between the comics and movies is that the movies seemingly have to stay in some bubble while there in the comics it's cool to see the occasional guest-star...

The movie was so bland...if a friend hadn't have paid for me I would have walking out in the middle. It wasn't bad so much as just agonizingly mediocre.

Er, to be honest, I think Marvel would be able to make that happen.

But they wouldn't want to because cameos will NOT happen.

It'd be faithful and cool, yeah, but it won't happen.

And yeah, I liked FF a lot. It was a FUN comic movie. People just love to hate things (that aren't Batman).

The Thing .. thing.. at the end though: dumb.
