Should I make Virion into a sniper or a bow knight?
Having tried both you get a bit more power with him as a Sniper. I don't think losing the extra power of a sniper is worth the movement you gain as a bow knight.
Should I make Virion into a sniper or a bow knight?
So Frederick is about to be a general with swordbreaker, axebreaker, and pavise. Try and melee attack him now. Maybe I should get Aegis on him too.
Axebreaker? Or lancebreaker?

Man, the Demon Fighter's and Bride's skills seem cheap as hell o_o
Anyone's Virion came out bad?
Mine couldnt double for his life and a sniper that cant double is useless
Yes, mine was awful on my first run. I'm trying a lot harder to keep him leveled up with the rest of the group this time but he still seems pretty worthless. I just can't find much use for archers in Awakening compared to previous FE's.Anyone's Virion came out bad?

oh yea, is there a way to get Arms scrolls quickly outside of praying for an Anna to sell it?
Kinda annoying to deal with Weapon level Es after a class change

Lunatic isn't. I can't say for certain if Lunatic+ is like that. I doubt it, you can probably grind enough to make that pretty manageable too.
I haven't done much with the spot pass features nor the dlc. Do these encountered get scaled against your characters or is it possible to encounter then in such a way that one could be massively under/over powered. Also, do your characters get experience in these encounters that carries over into the main game?

The levels for those enemies are all set, so you could play a map and end up too weak to beat it. Or grind on those maps and end up overpowered and breeze through the main game (so yes, you get experience for it).
Thanks guys. I'm looking to do some grinding at the moment so I will play through those as much as I am able to.The only scaling would depend on the difficulty you chose I think, and each team has a set level (i.e. Eliwood's team is always level 20 promoted, Jaffar's 15). They're levels don't change. It's a decent way to train your units. You just need to fight the right team depending on the level ranged team.
Late game spoilers
Is the Yen'fay vs Say'ri match scripted to have Astra activate for both of them? Because that just happened to me, Say'ri started with astra, he used astra in his turn and then in Say'ri second hit she used astra again.
How is Radiant Dawn behind in terms of mechanics?
It's got more depth with altitudes affecting things, shove, laguz in general, and so on.
Mechanics is definitely one of the things Radiant Dawn superior in (among a bunch of other things).
What other FE game would have so much stacked against you in terms of mechanics all during the end of Part 1!
So Im trying to decide where I want to go with my game. Playing on Normal/Classic and at Ch13 and pretty much steam roll everything.
Im debating restarting on Hard mode and just never grinding any extra battles besides paralogs and story missions. I mean I want the game to be reasonably challenging. I tried one mission on Hard and got critical'd on the prolouge mission. Does getting critical'd and one shotted happen pretty often on Hard mode? Because thats pretty annoying. How does the game really change on hard and lunatic?
Right now it seems the ai on normal just attacks the weakest unit that it can target and goes from there. Not the best strategy, always, but too predictable.
I cant believe Im saying this, and Im not finished yet but the game just gets easier and easiesr it seems the more you play. its real tough at the beginning and then drops off. Kinda dissappointing. Of course thers a bunch of DLC and extra paralog stuff I havent tried yet.
This seems to be the general consensus, especially if you do all of the optional paralogues.I cant believe Im saying this, and Im not finished yet but the game just gets easier and easiesr it seems the more you play. its real tough at the beginning and then drops off. Laguz are pretty awful, and PoR is my favorite FE game. Shove is nice, but Pair Up and Dual Tag affect way more than Shove and Rescue. I wish Awakening had elevation though.
I'd say it's about even.
Pair up just feels like broken inflated number porn and Dual tag adds yet another RNG element to a game that already has bloody skills so I would not be sad if I never saw them again.
Does it matter if I save Anna in paralogue 2? I know that she isn't the one that's recruitable but maybe some bonuses for keeping her alive?
Is it just me, or does the writing in this game suck? All the reviews raved about how amazing it is... I find it extremely cheesy and juvenile. I don't know why I feel this way. I am a few hours in and find myself skipping all the dialogue because its just so damn cheesy. Maybe its the JRPG in it? Or just a crappy translation? 8-4 said they did it, and honestly it just seems like crappy drivel you could find on peoples Xangas from back in 2001. I guess I was expecting some sort of final fantasy tactics level of maturity and complexity in terms is storyline? Thoughts?
Tldr: writing sucks and is juvenile. Anyone agree??

The supports are pretty hit and miss. Sometimes the characters get so caught up in their wacky anime antics and their own excessive wit (ie every other line ends up feeling like some attempted ice burn) that I forget these are even people in an army.
Where do they get the ovens for all those pies
While the story is nothing special, the writing is awesome. Especially the support conversations, which are a lot of fun.
Gee... well, seeing as no one managed to help me I went ahead and re-downloaded the game keeping a backup of the corrupted files on my pc.
Booting up the game again gave me only the option to start a new game so I started checking the folders of the corrupted game. Luckily, I found out that there's a separate folder in the game folder, where your save game is located (something like 0000001.sav and is 512kb in size.)
While I doubt that people will run into the same problem as me, it might be interesting for some people to know that you can keep a backup of your save file in case something goes awry or you need to delete your game for god-knows-why reason.
If the support conversations are hit and miss, then the hit% is at least 95
