I may end up in the exact situation as you soon, if only there were some other way to unlock Lunatic+ :/

Man, I hear that beating Lunatic Classic only unlocks Lunatic+ Classic.
You'd have to do it again, beating Lunatic Casual for Lunatic+ Casual. Dreading those first four chapters, haha. But at least Casual will have battle save instead of bookmark.

... And if it turns out you don't need to do that, I'm already halfway through Lunatic Classic anyway!

I wonder what I should keep Libra as...
I already got him through War Monk and Cleric, I'm thinking I'll just go back to War Monk.

Shame his Speed is kinda low.

Final Boss spoiler

Grima looks a LOT like he could be from Bayonetta, especially when part of his face comes off and shows the human one under it.

Fuck living in this country.

I will only get starting to play this gem this week; the game is still stuck in Singapore at the moment.

I feel really envious not being able to participate earlier, and now we are already in 250-pages territory already -____-

By the time I want to discuss stuff I reckon people are already moving on then, that sucks -______-

Hopefully a lot of you folks are still hanging around for a while.

Due to issues with the gaming being under shipped in the US and many users still holding out for retail copies you should expect to see a flux of people who have recently started the game like myself.

So I got my etsy decal in today, think it looks pretty good :)

There's a ton of lil tiny pieces for the dragons, if anyone else is getting one be sure those pieces stick first to the plastic and then to the 3ds

I can assure you I'll be floating around this thread for a good deal of time.

Ya, he's just there to make Nah, just need to test underdog with manaketes though.

I just did that last night haha. My Nah was getting at least 5 stats per level up. Got HP + 2 a lot.

That 100% chance of activating Armsthrift says otherwise.

Not really needed when you have unlimited money and when the limit breaker DLC comes out. His skills are pretty meh.

Due to the supply issues and Europe's April release, I hope they let this thread stay out of community for longer than usual.

I hope you guys who paired up Donnel to pass on Aptitude made sure they aren't losing any gender exclusive skills. If you're into this sort of thing, of course.

I had him paired up with Sully so I passed down Counter.

Enemies appearing out of nowhere and attacking in the same turn are killing this game to me.

Even worse because in this chapter they are fucking pegasuses which means they can attack fucking anywhere.

I don't remember it being this bad in previous games; IIRC they'd appear from fortresses but wait a turn before attacking.

Wasn't in the FEs that were brought over to America. But was a staple in all the older games.

Also, only a thing in Hard mode and higher.

Only in Hard mode and up. Reinforcements show up before the enemy's turn so they'll act right after.

In Normal, reinforcements show up after the enemy's turn is done.

Never played a FE before 7 huh? Happens on Hard and higher.

None of the male exclusive skills are actually great, (aptitude and underdog are both male exclusives anyway), counter's only really for street pass team and snipers (for funsies) and you only want to pass rally str using the male mu if you want to create a rally bot (rally bot needs to have access to tactician class).

That doesn't excuse it from being terrible game design.

I am told that normal mode is waaaay easier than the normal difficulty in previous games.

Well, the last FE before this has that mechanic as one of the "features." Shit absolutely bonkers I tell you, especially in harder difficulties and flying enemies (that can attack from 2 spaces!)

We got your back. I've had this for 3 weeks now; this is my first emblem so i know i'm not goig anywhere since i still have much to learn

I am holding you guys to that :)

Yeah, I don't want to be alone experiencing this game. A huge part of the fun is discussing all sorts of things with folks playing the same thing, so hopefully this thread will still be active for a long while.

For me losing characters in Fire Emblem is doing it wrong, but I understand not everyone is willing to reset constantly.

Is it recommended to always pair up on hard or higher?

At that point, it just makes more sense to either play on casual or a lower difficulty. If you're not willing to make any sacrifices at all, then why even leave it as an option?

No doubt I've gone back and restarted if a particularly important (to me) character has died, but I do like that I have the option just to go "F*** it, I didn't like them anyways). It's not like there aren't plenty of oppurtunities to pick up characters throughout the game... it's near impossible to back yourself into a corner you can't get out of if you let your characters die, unlike some other FE games.

(Edit) And for those just starting, it's all good. I've only been able to get a couple hours in a day and most of that time is spent OCDing my characters to insane levels <_< 40 hours in and only on chapter 16.

I was talking to a friend about this

He constantly resets too because losing someone is unacceptable

Why not just play casual then? Is it the epeen status?

I definitely have a few characters that I will reset if I lose them, but final chapter and I'm down about 9 characters, kids and unmarried people alike

Your reason for Counter is precisely why I even bothered to pass it. I've had my doubts at first but it's a hilarious skill. But all in all, I agree.

Bought this game on Amazon. Probably a mistake. I typically HATE games like this. Though maybe it won't be as bad as the Final Fantasy Tactics series.

I did the same, but passed down Sol since counter isn't very good.

I'm not sure what your first question is asking; please elaborate.

I do it because I like the extra challenge. I'm considering going through another normal run letting units die...but it will be difficult to let go.

EDIT: And I'm 50 hours in only up to Chapter 18. I never grind, I just complete any battle available.

Because that's what the old fire emblers were like (hence the name classic). There was no casual mode released in America before.

Why on earth would you pass down Donny's Aptitude when you can level up forever in this game?

He doesn't really have anything else that's good for passing on. Also, I don't really plan to use Nah much, even if she has better skills than Tiki. Just makes me not have to level her up as much since I only plan to use her a little bit.

Tiki >>> Nah

(sorry for bad quality, had to take it on my Vita)

Only used a couple of my stat up items for them, mostly my Energy Drops and Dracoshields.

Tiki is seriously god-like.

Is it possible to grind here like in Sacred Stones?

Huh..............

Grinding may be tedious... but there's also that certain allure seeing your folks steamrolling opposition like bulldozers crushing house of papers... hmmm.

Yes plus with reskilling you pretty much can make uber characters.

No Galeforce on Morgan and Lucina? And what happened to Tiki's skills, she can reclass into Mage and Wyvern Rider, can't she? :p

In the end, well done. Go forth and wreck shit up with your femme fatales.

Well, the plus side to this, I guess, is that you can bring anyone you like to the field even on harder difficulties, whereas many of the previous games you are basically limited to use only those with the best stat growth if you want to beat, say, Lunatic, even if you do not necessarily like them.

Anna's the mom, so Morgan can't get Galeforce. Lucina didn't wind up inheriting it as I made Sumia a Falcon Knight (and was completely oblivious to Galeforce at the time of that promotion), and got pretty lazy in regards to grinding Galeforce by the time I rotated her back into my regular party.

As for Tiki, well, I have this weird thing against changing out Manaketes (or taguels, really) out from their special class. So she didn't get to reap the benefits of other class skills. Not that she needs them, she can solo entire maps no sweat.

my bad. I didn't see Morgan's mom. Don't mind me, I am absolutely obsessed with Galeforce.

But I wouldn't be able to live with a 36 Speed cap. You're right though, she'd still destroy maps by herself with those stats.
